Your 180 is fancier than the one I used to fly. Was just a single hand brake. Manual flaps and overhead crank trim. Love that you use a check list every time. So many don’t. 👍👍🙂

My 2nd video this morning and you also flew into an airport that I have flown into. Coatesvill, PA. My instructor owner had purchased some used radio equipment for one of his planes and he used me to fly him there. I find this interesting and will keep watching your very interesting channel.

Been in there many times. The Coatesville Steel Plant is interesting to see under the turn from base to final. Unusual set up with the parking down the hill under the taxiway/runway.

Also, Dayton Ohio is home of Aviation Heritage National Historical Park. Also near Cincinnati is the home of GE aviation and the home of Neil Armstrong (first man on the moon!). I live in Chester Co. Drive near that airstrip often.
From one OG to another, before radios were digital, reception was poor. To not confuse five with nine, it was decided to use NINER for nine.

I got my Commercial ticket at Chester County back in '76.
Kay you have to work on runway used. Everything else is great.

Most local pilots avoid Coatsville-Chester county. They started charging a landing fee. Even if you stop to pee.
I recall you and pops discussing a little bigger and faster upgrade to little red. I believe Jason has a Saratogo he is thinking of selling
I enjoy your videos. I live in the Dallas area and got mi license in 1976. I owned a 1970 PA28-140 for several years and more recently a 98 PA28-181 (Archer III). I admire your skill and radio work. My question, why do you normally only use 2 notches of flap? I always used 3 (except bad crosswind) in the Archer and sometimes 2 in the old 140. The 'hershey bar' wing sinks a little more so maybe 2 works best? Take care Kay!

The Airport is not far from my original stopping grounds in New Jersey, are used to bring students in Chester county for class bravo training cross country. It used to have a good restaurant That’s no more unfortunately. If you’re ever in the Brownwood area, let me know, I fly for Martinaire

What's interesting is that just a couple weeks before the Three Mile Island disaster, the movie The China Syndrome came out. This movie was about an accident at a nuclear power plant. Spokesmen from the nuclear power industry said that this type of accident was extremely unlikely. But just 2 weeks later, the Three Mile Island accident happened. There is a line in the movie about the what might happen in the worst case: "It would render an area the size of the state of Pennsylvania permanently uninhabitable."
That jet is a Visionjet. It would probably take around 3 hours to get back home for you.

I Wanna Learn To Fly A Plane Mostly just want to go for a flight in a small plane never been in anything smaller then a 737 other then a helicopter once.

I think it’s around 23hrs and 1500 miles from Phl to hou, vision jet is around 300 ktas and altitude ceiling of 30k? My guess is gonna be around 12-14hrs with 2-3 fuel stops? Just a guess since I am not a pilot and not able to plan it out myself.

I wanna learn to fly where do I start. I've been studying Sportys, and it seems undoable.
So here is an idea about why we say, "NINER." Since nine and five can be misheard over radio waves, saying, "Niner" helps differentiate between the two!
