Happy new haircut! I've never played any of the Super Monkey Ball games but this looks a good place to start, might pick up a copy for my switch.
I played Monkey Ball 1 & 2 on the GameCube and sank countless hours as a kid. Been thinking about picking up the remaster and I stumbled upon your channel. Watched your 2 part reviews of all the games too. Looking forward to more videos :)

How close to the original would you say Monkey Billiard feels? Like, does the white ball still goes hitting everywhere if you do a full power shot? It was so fun and chaotic in the original! That's always been a favourite of mine that I still play to this day so that's why I had to ask! :')
Glad you enjoyed it! I’d say Billiards feels pretty good from what I played! Not quite as hectic, and you can only play against AI, there’s no single player option, but it’s still really fun to play and probably my fave mini game

I found this type of game so difficult to control.
I once tried the demo of SMB on Switch and struggled a lot.
But, after watching your vids. I become interested in it.
It's actually fun and challenging. The characters inside the ball are also cute. 😍

Great review! This game looks amazing, I can't wait to play it as a big fan of the first two games. This'll be my first time experiencing the Deluxe stages as well! I just really wish there was an option to turn lives on and off, kinda like Crash 4's modern and retro modes. Hoping they polish up Monkey Target a bit too, lots of nostalgia for that minigame!

What i always liked about Super Monkey Ball was that gameplay took precedence over graphics. I'm surprised they have dropped the ball with the camera angles...will they listen to your review & make ammends???

Awesome to finally see Sega embracing Monkey Ball again. Even though people seem a little mixed on this entry it does feel like they really tried here and it gives me hope for the future.
This is a killer time for games this time of year, but I am making time for this game for sure.

I played so much monkey ball multiplayer back in the day, the little differences in physics, sound and camera stuff is a little concerning but I’ll probably still pick this up when I need a new game to play with friends :)

It has some issues, both bug and small, but it’s still a really solid game. I still think the original controls and camera are superior, but it didn’t take long for me to get used to Banana Mania’s controls.
If anything, I can say that the way this game feels is different, but not bad. The worst thing I can maybe say is that it doesn’t really get the essence of the original games, but honestly, that’s not too big of a deal for me as long as it’s still fun, and to me, I think this game is really fun.
Except for Monkey Target. They kinda ruined that one.
Basically my feelings too, it has problems, but you can look past them and learn to enjoy it. And there’s certainly loads of content and a good set of challenges to keep you busy!
Been enjoying it today and agree theres definitely a difference but then I think almost everything is basically re-built which is quite a challenge for all the levels
@@RetroBreak @Rob Sammons Yeah it feels different but it doesn't ruin the experience for me. Worst case scenario is that some tricks aren't possible or some stages are harder because of them. If I really wanted to have the original controls I'd just go play the original, but there are plenty of reasons to play Banana Mania so I really don't mind the new controls that much.

Super monkey ball was my first nintendo ds game that i was addicted to . Loved it so much that i was playing it most of the time. Is a childhood memory for me.
