Oh boy. that subreddit is such a tiny barely known group of shrooms enjoyers. There are much bigger communities that live to inject psilocybin and other psychedelics. This guy in the video is just a idiot.
I was diagnosed with Trauma since my teenage, spent my whole life fighting ADHD. Also suffered severe depression and mental disorder. That's interesting, I never knew that one could suspect cyanide poisoning just by looking at and listening to a heart rhythm. Other things could probably cause an abnormal rhythm similar or exactly like cyanide so it's impressive how he deferred that. He's got a lot of experience as a doctor for sure.
The guy who made the video wasn't involved in this, he just tells a story. The story might not even be true. But the symptoms were of oxygen dysfunction. The lactic acid for example means muscles were doing anaerobic respiration. Since cyanide causes exactly that and no other symptoms were found, that's why he was given B12. @@incremental_failure No, its like an alcoholic drinking light beer all day... Addiction is a mental health issue. If your desire is to escape reality there's a problem. You will understand when your older. Trust me.

Although what the guy in the video was doing wasn't microdosing and as the video said, it wasn't even getting him high at all since the psilocybin needs to be broken down to turn active.

Watching this episode has showed me how little I know about recreational drugs. However I do know that you don't put stuff in your body that is of sketchy origin. I'm glad he survived and I hope that experience scared him straight.
well it’s not even the fact it’s recreational. it’s the same as injecting any other type of fungus into your blood, it’s not healthy and it has no high lol. just infections
Well... You don't mainline shrooms... Even if you grow them yourself. It is just a dumb idea. I recommend growing your own mushrooms if you place to use them. You know what you are getting.

Yeah.... we dumb as hell bro.
I think the lesson I'm learning is not to follow online advice, and to have more respect for the advice of actual doctors who went to actual medical school. This stuff isn't exactly on the same level as automotive or appliance repair, like a growing number of people seem to think. The electronics in a refrigerator are fairly complicated, but nothing in comparison to a biological electro-chemical machine like an animal body. I used to be the kind of person that would self experiment and IV things. Maybe not unknown mushroom tea that had soil in it, but similarly stupid things.
Only a small percantage of homo sapiens; the "wise man", are actually wise or ingenuitive in any way. Most of us are just resilient and adaptive, some of us aren't even that.

Atleast he didn't microdose the 🍄s rectally
This kid almost died because he couldn't get a reliable source for self-medication. Stories like this are why drug prohibition is problematic.
note: microdosing isn’t for maintaining a trip, the effects should not be directly noticeable
And if your microdosing involves a syringe, you're doing it wrong.
Why would you ever inject shrooms
Indeed, was something that annoyed me as well.
Those who micro dose are trying to avoid the hallucinatory and intoxicating effects, while still managing to achieve the long term positive effects these substances possess. The few I have talked to who micro-dose would all view it as a failure, a sign they are taking far to much, if they notice anything at all. Most take such small doses it would take days for them to consume a single adults worth....
Jinx Dragon it is annoying for sure, but not out of the realm of possibility for somebody inexperienced. And they could've gotten misinformation online or via word of mouth. People experienced with microdosing or drugs in general will be more cautious, this story shows what can happen when it all goes wrong, the absolute worst case scenario.

Tbf, the primary reason for injecting a substance is that you want the rush to be immediate. Although I shudder to think what kind of rush IV’ing mushrooms would give you, sounds pretty awful to me.
Also, injecting drugs isn’t necessarily a skill you just pick up on a whim, I would think any number of what potential substances he could have learned with would have been much more effective in treating depression.

The safest way to do shrooms is to grow them yourself. The spores and growing materials are completely legal and you can buy them on regular internet sites. It doesn’t become illegal until u grow them so just don’t tell anybody. U can get a grow bag and grow them in a closet or something very discreet.
