I actually switched BACK to my Q10 a few weeks ago. So peaceful and love it.

The elite companies have succeeded in shutting down BB10. Instead of creating light versions of the app that BB10 would run, they have decided to stop supporting the OS.
So many people still love and use BB10, but without apps there isn't any hope for growth.
i also hate how they make it each time, be it on Android or iOS, that whith new updates of apps they "need" newer OS versions while, in most cases, they dont really have to, with exception when they really use something that only appeared in new Os versions, but its rare.

Agreed. If the developers made the social apps for BB10, I think it would have faired a chance. I liked it so much more. It's just better.
umm ....If you have an app that you know works for iOS/android and you REALLY must see if it work on OS10, read this on how to side load .apk to .bar

It's all in the market share. Unless you make a product that EVERYONE wants to buy, you're not going to break the duopoly.

After June you can use the Android version of Whatsapp. I already use it tho.

After watching this, I picked up a Classic on eBay. Wow. How did I go so long using the work issued Lumia handset? The Classic is superb. Keep up the great work.
I was quite the BB user in the day and loved it. In 2015 I went back to BB10 just to see what was like and was very impressed. It's unfortunate what's happened. Yet, it's good to see guys like you around who still see the value in the device.

Dude, another excellent video! You had me salivating for the Q10 all over again. :) The size of that phone and that keyboard. If the Passport never came along, I would be using the q10 this very day. It's so awesome you can still basically get all the important, current apps on there. So cool! Thanks for sharing. I just might have to find a q10 on eBay so I can switch it out for my Passport every now and then. :) By the way, almost 8000 subscribers? Very well done! BlackBerry Limited needs to pay attention to your videos because you're keeping them hip and there's still plenty of us hanging with BB10. Keep it up!

Just bought Q10, it works really nice, the price is good, I don't need any apps besides hub, instagram, maps, 8tracks, evernote, so for me it's perfect. Plus, it looks very classy

hello, I like all your videos about blackberry. I'm still using my bb classic. I tried many apps for video calling but nothing works better. Can you tell the version of IMO which you used for video calling? the latest version from playstore doesn't work on my Classic
I am from Brazil and here is not a target market for BlackBerry. Even so, I still use BB Q10 that I really like in the middle of 2017! I am now in doubt whether to buy Priv or KeyOne. I'm BlackBerry fan too. Unfortunately Brazil with its high taxes does not become a attractive market for excellent brands like the BlackBerry.

Not sure if you are still using it a year later, but the batteries are very cheap, would be a good idea to get a replacement they do loose capacity after a couple of years.

I used Blackberry 7100 in 2007-2009. It was a phone with a roller dial on the side. It was absolutely fantastic. I was a mad fan of the qwerty keys. But qwerty keys were too good to last! Now I am planning to go back to Blackberry even if it is not a new technology and may not support many apps for security reasons. I am trying to get out of technology dependence gradually.
From what I can surmise the Q10 was intended for business communication. That was the primary intent. Have used mine Q10 since 2013.
Does quite well for that purpose. Yes screen is small, but useful for emails. Have two Q10s. Like OS10. Go Blackberry Go Go OS10!

I've just bought an used Classic recently and i'm happy with it even its specs are not so really strong for new heavy games/apps. The reason i came to BB is i'm sick and tired of Android and Apple phones. They're all look alike from outside to inside. Pick up a Xperia XZ or Galaxy S7E or iP7 in a store, i don't even know what to do beside of touching and swiping through apps drawer a lil bit and turn on the camera to see how good they are then put them down because there're nothing more to explore. Doesnt happen not more than 2 minutes. But holding a new Blackberry in the hands, such a new experience. In the bottom, i hope this Classic won't crash, won't be scratched so i could use it for 3 more years.
for games, there is nintendo 3ds and playstation vita... which are better at gaming than androids, while blackberry better at being what it is, too. :D

I'm not a fan of BB10 but I still use my Q10 in 2017, and I probably will until it dies. I just don't use it for calendar anymore because it became a hassle compared to the Bold 9000.
Do you know how the sound quality compares to other phone models ?
I don't need many apps, because there's more to life than screens. Lightguru is the one I use the most, with the weather, because I love shoot film ;)

What about viber ?
If these phones had been designed with a quad core processor they would have coped very well with modern use, but with many android apps they struggle... mine expecially has a total failure with the android emulator, it non longer runs... and it's annoing since i had everything i needed with android apps runnning.
anyone has idea when bb 10.3.3 will be officialy released on BB classic? i have my own one branded vodafone, but no update has arrived...

Hey man. I like your Videos about the Blackberry. I would like to ask you, if (or how) you connected your Blackberry with your mac (as seen in the video)? I have the classic, but my macbook somehow doesnt want to install the Blend and Link software .. So im kinda dissapointed. But over all I would recommend a Blackberry 10 phone to every one of my friends since its a very cool alternative to Android and iOS (had iPhone 5 and 6).

Hi. I've been watching many of your videos, and you're making me wanna go back to the physical keyboard phone. I do love the Q10 AMOLED screen and overall design, but also love the touch pad and those physical buttons on the classic. So I wonder which one do you think is better between the classic and the Q10?

Since they are pretty much the same and you like the touch pad, I'd go for the classic. Internals are the same but it has a bigger and brighter screen along with a bigger battery :)

It will work till june 2017, after that you can use the android version!
im using Instagram apk version 9.5.5 and its working good on my z10, also for Facebook there is native FaceSlim, best free facebook, with all features
LOVE this video! Quick question! How to install the APK's that you've posted links on the discretion? I install the play store "thanks to you" and I download both APK's files and transfer them to my phone and try to install it, but with no luck it give me an error message!

I am still using Classic even in 2018 :). Last week I found that Facebook Messenger Lite works great, it even runs in background and I get notifications on new messages, also notification is removed when I see the message on computer which never worked on Messenger by Nemory :(. My bank application works but I cannot pay with NFC - it is not accessable to Android runtime (BB probably knows why :D). I have android on my tablet and it is some older version 4.x, but it keeps slowing down until the moment I have problem running browser. I have to reset tablet to factory settings, reinstall all apps I use. I tried Nexus 5 for some time but I never liked it, the flow of Android is not for me probably. BB Launcher did not helped me in this. I missed all the gestures, how fast and easy it it to check new email with gesture and never leave application on foreground when the email is not worth reading right now. I bought the classic used and not in the best shape, but it still works. I have seen nonblackberry phone to be destroyed to have it in pocket and sit with it, Classic seems like a tank :D. I really don't know what to do after the end of 2019 :(. Key One is nice but still it has Android. There is so much apps in Play store which I installed on tablet and nexus but that's, never used them for real :/. What I am missing is app for IRC and/or Hangout which works and does not eat battery in a few hours of not using the phone.

Skype is troublesome. It works with some phones but not with all. Sadly I don't have a solution for that :(

you can try installing the os manually, there are tutorials for that on crackberry, sadly I don't know how to do that :/

Just install the update from BB world and it will work again!
WhatApp stopped last week on Blackberry Passport in London. No sign of it continuing to work until June 2017 sadly.

hello buddy... native BB whatsapp app stopped supporting my q10 from 18th onwards..... so i installed whatsapp apk in my q10... i cant upload images from my gallery using that apk :( ........ is it still supporting ur mobile??
Just install the Whatsapp update from BB world, then it will work again!

They will release the BB mercury in march, which is an android phone with the iconic keybpard :)
I did a speed comparison with my BlackBerry Passport and my iphone 7plus. I'm using nakedbrowser from the playstore to use fb and youtube. Loading wise the passport beat the iphone on fb and youtube

so worth it. at this time i use my mobile provider's tethering/hotspot function while leaving my iPhone on airplane/wifi mode..... having both devices on hand is great ....

Strange, may be you should try to install the Playstore on your phone, then it might work

CrackBerry user Cobalt has a few pages of instuctions on the forum if you are still interested!
It's a bit complicated and sometimes you have to patch the app on your computer but it might be worth a shot!

I don't remember if you mentioned this before but why didn't you do this test on the passport? The processor on this phone is so far behind today's standards. The passport I think would have been a lot more functioal.
