I just bought the BlackBerry Classic from Amazon because BlackBerry doesn't offer it anymore from their website. Before that I had the BB Bold 9930, which is my absolute favorite phone. I believe the Classic will NOW become my absolute favorite once I get familiar with all of its awesome features. I've always used BlackBerry phones and never had an iPhone or Android. I've had other types of non-smartphones (going back 18 years), but BlackBerry has been my go-to phone ever since smartphones came out.
The 1st BlackBerry I owned was a BlackBerry Curve 8530 and probably this is also my favorite one because I loved the keys' layout. They weren't horizontal but curved (lol). This was the best typing experience for me.

My love for BBs started with the Bold 9900 , then came the Q10 with a modern OS and Finally the Passport. Although I've never owned these devices, I started to develop a special liking towards Blackberry. That pushed me to get the Key2 and I'm loving it absolutely. However, even now I wish that BB resurrects their OS and comes with a Passport 2. But that's never going to happen :(
I love all blackberry phones except the Pearl. But my all time fave has to be the Bold 9000 with the trackball even though they broke easily. I am enjoying my two blackberry that I use Classic and the Passport Q30.
I'm with BB for 10 yrs now. Have 9700, 9790, Q10 and the Priv for the last 2 yrs. They're all in perfect condition, the Priv is magnificent, keep Q10 as back up. The older two are used with pre-payed providers, the 9790 i got as a present from my wife and i only use it to connect to her.
Great job once again, I'm going to have to say that my favorite BlackBerry is the Passport. I'm currently using the Priv right now, but I'm patiently waiting for the Mercury to come out. I go back and forth between the Passport and Priv.
My first bb was also the classic but like you said it is really showing its age now. The passport is still running smoothly while the classic is lagging behind.

The really old blackberry with the wheel on the side , the button had a space between them making it difficult to press the wrong key. It was strong, you could drop it, kick it and it would still work. The wheel allowed you to search through menus and click into the menu only using one hand. it was a great idea, so much quicker than a touch screen. I don't know why blackberry went away from this design. In the modern touch screen designs, the passport is just the best for me.
Oh the memories. My first Blackberry was a Blackberry Bold 9900. My fave is the Classic Q20. It took awhile to get to know it. I am still learning how to use Blackberry Link and Blackberry Blend. Stuck on the Classic.

My favorite is Passport, which is my fourth BB device. . But I still miss the first one, the Bold. The second one is a Curve (now 4 years) which I still use. My romance with Q10 was short due to its return owing to a technical problem. Later I got my dream device Passport. I am waiting for Mercury. I feel an android version of Classic or Q10 would be terrific.
Im bidding on a DTEK60 right now. I dig the BBOS10 and my last full BB was the Z10. But I had to embrace the change and look for something like the DTEK. I really liked BBOS too because it was so different from everything else that was out there...
I've usted 3 BlackBerry device, the Curve 9360, the PlayBook and the BlackBerry Z10. I've really enjoyed the BlackBerry 10 experience so I Would say the Z10.
Actually all these models are very well built and some more powerful than others, but the Classic is in fact what I liked the most, its design, its keyboard, the footprint that is comfortable in the hands is really very satisfactory.
When i first laid hands on my BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition back in january 2017 i fell inlove with it so yeah blackberry passport is definitely my favorite one!
Thus far I've had the Pearl 8900 , Torch 9810 ( 2) , a Q10 & a Q5. My favourite is the Torch 9810; it's been reliable and powerful in spite of its age . So why not either Q device ? Honestly , because both perished from incidents that they should've survived .The Q10 , a fall onto a tile floor (3 feet!) that put a serious dent in the back , destroyed the camera nor would it boot corrctly . The Q5 when I knocked a glass of water over and a few drops fell onto the screen! My Torch has survived several falls and a few wettings with no ill effects other than a few paint chips...
im still using a blackberry classic and it still functional except for the 3.5mm headphone jack. Its more than a year since i bought it but i still love to use it as a primary phone....

Couldn't agree more. I loved the Classic. Its trackpad reminded so much of the Bold 9900 I had used for so long. I got the Classic when it was first released but sold it to buy a PP a few months later. I should have kept it, switching devices every so often would have been nice.
Aaron Clark that's great, I'm happy if I get one day of usage I'm used to the battery life of iPhone 6 so anything from that above is good to me haha, can't wait to replace the iPhone 6 with the Priv
Never owned a BlackBerry device. Almost got a Bold 9780, but got the iPhone 4 instead because of the lower price when I got it in 2010. Sadly, I still have a year left for my contract so I can't get the Mercury.
My favorite BlackBerry is the first one i owned in 2009, the 8800 the keyboard was so big i think the closest BlackBerry has gotten to that keyboard size is the Classic, my second favorite was the 9000 but the battery was so bad but the keyboard was so good, i would always change to the 9700 if i was traveling because the battery would last for hours and rarely ever died. I currently use the 9900 after selling my Q10 because i missed the tool belt and i'm lucky that the BIS service is free here as it's included in all of the networks bill plans regardless of it you have a blackberry or not :D I actually had the Tour for a while in 2010 and it was great, i was able to sell it for more than i bought it for which was a nice change haha.
My 1st BlackBerry was in early 2010 and it was the blackberry Curve 8330 and it was fantastic...and from there I've used the bold 9900 the Q10 the Passport and Priv but my favorite would be the Torch 9800...I personally like button phones better than just full touchscreens and with that being said I would like for (Palm) 2come back with a new phone.
I never thought I would like a touch-screen but once I switched from keypad Curve to Z30, there was no looking back. Z30 is my favourite productivity device. Now I have the DTEK50, there is no comparison - Z30 is by far the better device. Work forced me to use Android, Samsung S6 was my first Android experience after the Z30. It was terrible for productivity. I was then given the DETEK50 and was much better... but nothing can compare to my Z30 - even now.
Great video! It was cool to hear about your BlackBerry timeline. The Classic is a wonderful device, but I got to go with the Passport. My first BlackBerry was the Pearl 8130 and even though I went from the Pearl to the Storm and didn't have a true QWERTY device until my Bold 9650, I was hooked. I thought I would never find a better device than the Q10, that was ingenious and I was willing to stay with that for a LONG time until I discovered the Passport. Once I got that device, my world was changed. I am so much more productive now because of it. Either way, I love all BlackBerrys, but for me, I got to stick with BB10 as long as I can. My first Blackberry was Blackberry Bold 9000 and that got me to Blackberry sadly though the whole family bought Samsungs but hey after a long search I bought Blackberry Curve 9730 and rekindled the ild spark and just 2 weeks ago I bought Blackberry Q10... thinking about buying either Blackberry Passport or Priv before the year ends.
First one was 9000 and it was super great experience but a lot of problems with track-ball ): Current is Q5. Using it for 3.5 years and its still great. And now want to buy Passport Silver Ed.
Older OS my favorites would be the bold 9930 and storm 2. BB10 OS would be the Z30 and the passport. I've tried the priv and it was ok but I really want to try the dtek60 now
The best BlackBerry ever was the bold 9900 in my opinion,after that I had a Q10 and a blackberry classic .If they will make another bold I will buy it straight away.

I bought two Blackberry Phones this year, Q10 & Bold 9790 (I always wanted to own a Blackberry in High school but in those days it was hell lot expensive) Glad I bought it finally, looking forward to Buying the Classic and Passport too (Qwerty fanboy).
I owned the Priv briefly before exchanging it for a Moto Z Play (which I LOVE). I wish the Priv wasn't as sluggish and had better battery life. I am fascinated by the Passport and may buy an unlocked one to check it out. I love your videos Jan Ole. Keep up the good work!
Jan, My favorite was the Bold 9900 but a close 2nd is the classic. I just dropped a SIM card in it last week and I'm loving it all over again. I also have the Priv, Silver Edition Passport. I enjoyed the classic so much that I have one in black and my baby, the blue classic. It's boss. Great video as always man.
My blackberry bold 9900 was the one I prefered mostly because the look of it was amazing, i ket staring at it lol, the torch was also a very good phone and I liked the way it feeled to call someone when the slider was open. I would have liked to find a Blackberry 9670 because I never had a flip phone and it looked so impressive. but finally these days I have a white passport with a black leather shell I looove it, feels so right and its the best so far, never used the android ones maybe someday, but for now passport rules :-) thx for the video, from Paris :-)
I currently am using a Classic. I don't agree with Ole. The Classic is ok but my favourite is the 9900 Bold. Had it for 2 years and loved it. I was disappointed when I got the Classic. Had thought that the OS10 was going to allow many more apps but, here in Canada, there were very few business apps that were supported. Lots of games if that's what you wanted but I never used my phone for that. Even my Credit Union wasn't supported with an app. I am now looking at either a Priv or a Mercury (DTEK70?) when available, as a replacement. Have to abandon OS10 for Android in order to stay current. Won't leave Blackberry with the security and hub until I'm absolutely forced to.
PassPort the best and boldest device that BlackBerry ever produced, not even today in full 2018 no competitor did better, not even the BlackBerry itself when it surrendered to Android with its Key One, PassPort that sim will stay in the history of that company and in the memory of his fans.

Hi Jan Ole thanks for such great videos about BB. I used Blackberry from the time they came out with a monochrome display! and in those years I've used nearly all of them. My favourite has to be the Q10 as that was an absolute work horse of a device. The lack of support for apps like FB and snapchat, combined with the fact that my employer now insists on using AirWatch (OMG - the most disgusting and utterly awful app I've ever used) and MDM to "secure" devices, means that BB10 is no longer supported by my company so I've had to switch to an android device :"( Sold my Q10 and still miss it. Sold my Z10 and Classic too but I'm holding onto my Z30 - just in case.
I have all bb10 devices almost, but my favorite q5 , not for specs just for keybord, the keys are more space on q5 and hell i type very fast and correct on it,

9900 with BIS and tweaked CZcams for unlimited streaming. Loved it! Had to carry second battery (fits in wallet!) tho. I own a BB10 device aswell, but never used it as a daily 👎
Only had one BB so far - a Bold 9700, and I loved it but sadly it had an old battery so I sold it for that reason - it would randomly shut down. But the OS experience was great - even in 2017, especially since my provider gave unlimited BB internet (something it does not give for other phones!). A downside though was it could only sync one email account due to the limit imposed by the network provider. Now looking for a BB10 device. Which would you recommend between Q10, Z10, Z3 and Z30?

Call me crazy but my best experience using Blackberry is with the Blackberry 9550 Storm. Big screen, good camera, unique.

Good choice. I had a blue Classic for a while and it was very cool but a bit lacking in size and performance.

Aaron Clark that's great, I'm happy if I get one day of usage I'm used to the battery life of iPhone 6 so anything from that above is good to me haha, can't wait to replace the iPhone 6 with the Priv

Never owned a BlackBerry device. Almost got a Bold 9780, but got the iPhone 4 instead because of the lower price when I got it in 2010. Sadly, I still have a year left for my contract so I can't get the Mercury.

Mine fav is also BlackaBerry classic although i never had it but Q10 is also amazing.
My favorite BlackBerry is the first one i owned in 2009, the 8800 the keyboard was so big i think the closest BlackBerry has gotten to that keyboard size is the Classic, my second favorite was the 9000 but the battery was so bad but the keyboard was so good, i would always change to the 9700 if i was traveling because the battery would last for hours and rarely ever died. I currently use the 9900 after selling my Q10 because i missed the tool belt and i'm lucky that the BIS service is free here as it's included in all of the networks bill plans regardless of it you have a blackberry or not :D I actually had the Tour for a while in 2010 and it was great, i was able to sell it for more than i bought it for which was a nice change haha.
My 1st BlackBerry was in early 2010 and it was the blackberry Curve 8330 and it was fantastic...and from there I've used the bold 9900 the Q10 the Passport and Priv but my favorite would be the Torch 9800...I personally like button phones better than just full touchscreens and with that being said I would like for (Palm) 2come back with a new phone.

I never thought I would like a touch-screen but once I switched from keypad Curve to Z30, there was no looking back. Z30 is my favourite productivity device. Now I have the DTEK50, there is no comparison - Z30 is by far the better device. Work forced me to use Android, Samsung S6 was my first Android experience after the Z30. It was terrible for productivity. I was then given the DETEK50 and was much better... but nothing can compare to my Z30 - even now.
Great video! It was cool to hear about your BlackBerry timeline. The Classic is a wonderful device, but I got to go with the Passport. My first BlackBerry was the Pearl 8130 and even though I went from the Pearl to the Storm and didn't have a true QWERTY device until my Bold 9650, I was hooked. I thought I would never find a better device than the Q10, that was ingenious and I was willing to stay with that for a LONG time until I discovered the Passport. Once I got that device, my world was changed. I am so much more productive now because of it. Either way, I love all BlackBerrys, but for me, I got to stick with BB10 as long as I can. My first Blackberry was Blackberry Bold 9000 and that got me to Blackberry sadly though the whole family bought Samsungs but hey after a long search I bought Blackberry Curve 9730 and rekindled the ild spark and just 2 weeks ago I bought Blackberry Q10... thinking about buying either Blackberry Passport or Priv before the year ends.
My favorite phone is Q10 & passport. I'm still using them!!.. Blackberry forever!.
First one was 9000 and it was super great experience but a lot of problems with track-ball ):
Current is Q5. Using it for 3.5 years and its still great.
And now want to buy Passport Silver Ed.
Older OS my favorites would be the bold 9930 and storm 2. BB10 OS would be the Z30 and the passport. I've tried the priv and it was ok but I really want to try the dtek60 now
Yes for Classic. im stil using it for my work phone. it still works perfectly. just hope whatsapp would work after June 2017
The best BlackBerry ever was the bold 9900 in my opinion,after that I had a Q10 and a blackberry classic .If they will make another bold I will buy it straight away.
My favourite was the Bold 9900 was my first experience with blackberry to me was just the most stylish looking phone. Then I had the Z10 Q10 and finally the Classic which in my opinion should have followed the Bold 9900 the classic is the bomb. Great videos Jan 👍

I bought two Blackberry Phones this year, Q10 & Bold 9790 (I always wanted to own a Blackberry in High school but in those days it was hell lot expensive) Glad I bought it finally, looking forward to Buying the Classic and Passport too (Qwerty fanboy).
I owned the Priv briefly before exchanging it for a Moto Z Play (which I LOVE). I wish the Priv wasn't as sluggish and had better battery life. I am fascinated by the Passport and may buy an unlocked one to check it out. I love your videos Jan Ole. Keep up the good work!
Jan, My favorite was the Bold 9900 but a close 2nd is the classic. I just dropped a SIM card in it last week and I'm loving it all over again. I also have the Priv, Silver Edition Passport. I enjoyed the classic so much that I have one in black and my baby, the blue classic. It's boss. Great video as always man.
My blackberry bold 9900 was the one I prefered mostly because the look of it was amazing, i ket staring at it lol, the torch was also a very good phone and I liked the way it feeled to call someone when the slider was open. I would have liked to find a Blackberry 9670 because I never had a flip phone and it looked so impressive. but finally these days I have a white passport with a black leather shell I looove it, feels so right and its the best so far, never used the android ones maybe someday, but for now passport rules :-) thx for the video, from Paris :-)
My favourite is the q5. I still use it sometimes. though I like my Passport as well and bought the KEYone recently... so, am getting used to it
I currently am using a Classic. I don't agree with Ole. The Classic is ok but my favourite is the 9900 Bold. Had it for 2 years and loved it. I was disappointed when I got the Classic. Had thought that the OS10 was going to allow many more apps but, here in Canada, there were very few business apps that were supported. Lots of games if that's what you wanted but I never used my phone for that. Even my Credit Union wasn't supported with an app. I am now looking at either a Priv or a Mercury (DTEK70?) when available, as a replacement. Have to abandon OS10 for Android in order to stay current. Won't leave Blackberry with the security and hub until I'm absolutely forced to.

PassPort the best and boldest device that BlackBerry ever produced, not even today in full 2018 no competitor did better, not even the BlackBerry itself when it surrendered to Android with its Key One, PassPort that sim will stay in the history of that company and in the memory of his fans.

I had been using Bold 9700 for 6 years - amazing phone! switched to iphone and android deveices but still missing the keaboard. Now considering what blackberry to stick to.
you can buy brand new bolds on amazon , almost every other type of blackberry is sold out

Hi Jan Ole thanks for such great videos about BB. I used Blackberry from the time they came out with a monochrome display! and in those years I've used nearly all of them. My favourite has to be the Q10 as that was an absolute work horse of a device. The lack of support for apps like FB and snapchat, combined with the fact that my employer now insists on using AirWatch (OMG - the most disgusting and utterly awful app I've ever used) and MDM to "secure" devices, means that BB10 is no longer supported by my company so I've had to switch to an android device :"(
Sold my Q10 and still miss it. Sold my Z10 and Classic too but I'm holding onto my Z30 - just in case.
I have all bb10 devices almost, but my favorite q5 , not for specs just for keybord, the keys are more space on q5 and hell i type very fast and correct on it,

I have almost all bb devices except priv. I used Z30 for more than a year along with iphone but the z30 was the main one. Until I got the bb passport. So my favorite device is bb passport silver.

9900 with BIS and tweaked CZcams for unlimited streaming. Loved it! Had to carry second battery (fits in wallet!) tho. I own a BB10 device aswell, but never used it as a daily 👎

for me the passport is really the best device, the only bad point is running with bb10

Should I buy blackberry passport in 2018 ?
Only had one BB so far - a Bold 9700, and I loved it but sadly it had an old battery so I sold it for that reason - it would randomly shut down. But the OS experience was great - even in 2017, especially since my provider gave unlimited BB internet (something it does not give for other phones!). A downside though was it could only sync one email account due to the limit imposed by the network provider. Now looking for a BB10 device. Which would you recommend between Q10, Z10, Z3 and Z30?

BlackBerry 9790 bold 5, BlackBerry 9900 bold 4 switched to I phn 5s for six month now uses blackberry passport se sad to know that it's not easy to find BlackBerry devices at every shops and neither accessories Have waited 6 month for passport se finally gott here in Oman not easily available in India except online, mine best was still BlackBerry 9900 loves it like anything still
