This is the last video for Season 1 that I shall be editing as I would really like to get to season 2 videos this coming week. I know many hate John, but I'm going from what we see in Season 1 and from John's perspective etc The audio... Maybe have the volume around 60 - 75% to make sure it's audible I'm not sure if some of the dialogue will be audible at higher.

Do I like that, at times, John Winchester was a crappy dad? NO. Do I think John Winchester truly loved his boys? YES. Great video
Its a heartbreaking story. John loved his boys so much, and this video shows it. Its not often that we see a sympathetic portrayal of John Winchester.
I never really seen the part most in fandom seen, i have always saw what is in this video, it is sad that there isnt many videos out there of this side of him.

@@AngelDove I 100% agree. So many in the fandom hate him and Mary and I just can't. They both made a lot of mistakes, but they loved their sons so much. They were both in awful, untenable situations, and they tried. They failed a lot too, but they tried.

I just read his diary and I can say that John really loved Mary and that's why he becames a Hunter. Yes, of course he doesn't understand Sam choices but he was suffering. It's sad.

I love the show so much that I refuse to finish season 15 because I don’t want the show to end I have watched season one threw 14 and I watched to a certain point of season 15. I have done it four times sense the ending of the show and I’m working on my 5th watch threw now and I have not done this for any other show. This show saved me at a point when I was mentally ill

When I watched the show as a casual viewer, I felt affection for John. When I finished the show and set foot in this fandom, I started having conflicting feelings about him ever since. Your video reminded me why I had this affection in the first place and gave me a little bit of nostalgia for the early seasons, so I loved it. This edit with this song is chefs kiss 💛
I've read his diary and you can tell that he truly loved his boys and wife but I do feel like he went at it the wrong way, he should have never put so much on dean's shoulders and gave dean and sam a chance to be kids but in his mind everything he did was for him boys
Do you mean tha fanon journal that was created by Alexandra irvine? If so, thats just licensed work and nothing that's official. The author paid for the license to be able to use the characters in his own writing. Any events, and thoughts in that (other than when using canon) is of the writer's creative license and not from the actual official characters/show. He spoke to Eric a few times to get an idea of who John was, but that is as far as it went. Most of what is official of John is what the show put out and what's in official (named official too) merch. I can't stand that journal and how much so many believe to be real of the character when it's fan fic in a physical copy and paid license form. The writer has wrote a lot of licensed journals etc for many shows.
We've talked about my opinions about John over Twitter, I have a really hard love/hate for the guy, but damn your video honestly has me over here trying to debate with myself on why I really have the hatred I do for him. It's such a rocky upbringing for him and his boys, and it's super hard to truly judge him 120% harshly, especially in their situation. There are things he could've done better, but there are also things that in the end he did for the right reasons.

I've noticed that the voice overs are quieter than the music, sadly this is because CZcams keeps messing with the normalization on their platform, I've always posted tests first to check the audio levels before the actual one published, but it seems over the last 12 months the audio levels have changed a lot with all the videos. I apologize for the lack of audibility with many of the videos on my channel. It's seriously frustrating.

I don’t blame john for how he raised his children but it scares me mentally about being a father because even though I don’t have children of my own at this moment it pulls me farther away from having any because I don’t want to have to be like john was to my children
I think unless you're in a demonic world that has plans for your children/one of your children,and your wife isn't killed by a demon, I think you'll be just fine. :) I think there's a combination of things that made John who he was.. One of the first is... the writers, so the brothers could do what they did, and also to write John out of episodes because JDM couldn't commit to many episodes because he was filming else where. 2. He watched his wife burn on a ceiling/supernatural death 3. Sam was the focus of the demons and through his life demons were interacting with him through his schooling, through friendships and then through murdering his girlfriend. 4. As a parent who sees evil monsters everywhere, it would give that fear of powerlessness to protect your kids so you'd become stricter to make sure they remained alive.
These factors don't exist in this world, so I think you've got this! Not saying that it doesn't happen in this world, because there's abusive people out there because of who they are as humans, but if you don't already fall into abusive behaviours, I'm sure you'll be just fine :)

I will be but time isnt on my side at the moment, the darker channel videos require more of it because of the au aspect and finding stories to create on there. I do hope to get one finished soon
