Thank you so much for touching on Dad at the end, you got a 28 year old man crying on a Tuesday morning. DayZ was a game that I got him into about 8-9 years ago, I would come home from university and he would be playing on my gaming PC in my room. He was a super happy and charismatic man and would make time for anyone, as some of his DayZ brothers will tell you. I am forever grateful for the best friends and relationships that he forged in the game that resembled brotherhood more than anything else. He would speak of everyone so highly and talk about the raids, hold ups and firefights on a weekly basis. His memory will live on with us as his family, with the guys he used to run with and create memories with but also now eternally in the game that he and so many others love. Thanks heaps everyone, and as Dad would say... MDL (Much DayZ Love) ❤️😢

The dev for dayz seems to always stays ON POINT! This game is so simple but yet so much More advanced than other games. The details they put into this game can be so shocking. I have 1k hours on the game and i still enjoy playing the game as if it was my first week. Amazing.

Rip paulie I once was in a bad place I'd say dayz saved my life gave me new friends and fun adventures just know if your going through a bad time never give up that easy it will eventually get better no matter how long it takes it took me a very long time to get were I'm at now so never give up no matter how low your at just give it time and you'll heal and grow
yes always keep pushing, and if you feel very bad, just log on dayz and maybe have a chat with someone

Seperated from my wife for a year.... Played DayZ ten hours a day! May not have been healthy in that regard but I made some great friends and it allowed me to cope with the changes in my life. R.i.p. Pauli may you loot the heavens and come out on top !

Thanks for the words bro. In Dad's later months the game was defo something he went to for time with his close friends and it would take his mind way from work and other life stresses. I hope the game can do that for you too

I’ve been waiting for Paulis memorial to be added in for several months. Glad the devs did it.
This is a great update other than the cooking aspects. Cooking pots/pans should last for at least a few hours.
They should last forever no reason should steel or iron degrade
Maybe add more minutes but not hours there is no way you'd cook that long and that much before you die and even if you do well cooking that much without even cleaning the cooking ware doesn't make sense.. if only

They shouldn't break at all, I've been using the same camping pan and pot for years and they're none the worse for wear, cooking exclusively on gas stoves or fires
Yeah I was wondering. I know it's a game but unless you don't take any kind of care of a pan/pot there not gonna go bad. I mean cheap poorly made may rust but still.

Honestly perplexed by the damage to cooking pots and tripods
At least we still have fireplace grills and burn barrels.
I think the change was meant to nerf those who just grabbed a pot and cooking set and hit the woods and lived out there forever to some extent I guess but its a little heavy handed I'll agree. Hoping the deva adjust it in time. No sense CPs taking THAT much dmg so fast.
@@evankimori no reason a steel or iron pot should degrade from a fireplace, and neither should the metal cooking tripod.
@@nickolasphillips3776 Where that is concerned: I guess it's adjustments to the loot economy. Something to encourage players to come back to towns and search for items and consumables rather than base up perm and the whole LE is focused around guns, looting and kills.

The most important feature:
Axes can now cut off bark and not the entire tree so in Namalsk you don't need a Knife and Axe for making log fires. (Of course, minus the fact that one type of tree might still give logs when used with a knife).
Also, RIP Pauli, hope that you are in a better place. To the rest of us, please seek the help and survive outside of Chernarus if you're going through hardships. Don't let those bandits grind you down.

Yep. Those of us bush monkeys that enjoy the wilderness survival side of DayZ get real used to which plants give what.
I didn't know breaking long wooden sticks by hand didn't cause bleeds, though. I just assumed it did because breaking stuff off of bushes causes bleeds in this game... somehow. Guess all bushes have thorns in this game, lol.

Ah, that pauli bit made me sad because I remember wandering around nwaf and stumbled upon that exact house. It was locked and it had wooden walls inside. It's weird, I was compelled to linger around and just chill.

Cooking pots becoming ruined after 20 minutes is one of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard of.
At that point why even pick it up? You'll not even have it for half an hour

I think most people only cook once or twice a life so this isn't really a problem for most people

When was the last time any cooking pot, pan, cauldron, or anything like that was ruined by cooking irl? I feel this was a bad change. Maybe damage it Slightly every time it's taken out of an inventory, add a dent when taking it out of a bag, you drop it put of the trunk and it chips, it's would emulate stuff like this.
