  • Tacoma is a city in Washington state, on the banks of Puget Sound, south of Seattle. It's known for the Museum of Glass, which has works by renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly among its exhibits. These include installations on the Chihuly Bridge of Glass. The Tacoma Art Museum has a strong Northwest regional focus. Where would you reccomend for cost? I do want to live on the wet side of Washington but want to be close to seattle due to wanting to go to film school. Would you say its worth it to go to Tacoma?

@@RykersRange Tacoma is good because you have access to the train to Seattle. If you don't mind the hour long train ride both ways (and relatively infrequent service). The drive from Tacoma to Seattle is an absolute nightmare and bus service, while more frequent, is almost as slow as driving.

I have a question for folks that lived in Tacoma in the 60's..Where is a steep road by a cliff coming down a hill by the sea water? Where was the large octopus you could view off a peer? and lastly, Where was Steve's Gay 90's located? My father was stationed at McCord AFB and we lived up on Fern Hill... I was 10 at the time...

Stay toward North Tacoma or University Place. You should be okay.

    • @kevinfan726

Yes, Tacoma has worse areas like any other city, but the same kind of socioeconomic factors will apply. Tacoma does have a strong diversity of people, incomes, and experiences... plus it's in a beautiful part of the country.
