  • There's so much misinformation online. Shockingly, it's mostly from hair transplant clinics. They claim you can return to work after a few days. This is flat-out false. You can physically return, but that doesn't mean it won't be noticeable.
So when can you return? The sweet spot is three weeks old. If you don't have enough PTO, then save up more PTO; otherwise, be honest.

Thank you. These videos are great. Funnily enough, they've convinced me not to get a hair transplant and get used to shaving my head. It's not been easy but I am nigh on certain that it's the easier route.
To those who do get their transplants though, I wish you all the best. For me, the expense (time, energy and $s) is not offset by how much I think it would improve my life. Having been bald for a year now, I have noticed some negatives but they're actually quite small in the scheme of things. Female attention was the biggest worry. And whilst I think it's reduced. It hasn't to the extent that I feared. Not even close.

I agreee that the minimum time is at least 2 weeks when the scabs fall off. But honestly, to look presentable you need at least 3 months... I know, that sounds crazy, but until the third month you will look like a madman

I agree, but there’s a sweet spot around 3 weeks where the grafts haven’t shed and you haven’t hit ugly duckling. But yea after that it’s downhill until the third month

@@HairTransplantNetworkHi Melvin. Do you still use topical dutasteride ? If yes, still not going for the oral version ?

Great video Melvin. One thing people may want to consider is that you could also cut your hair short and start wearing a cap to work two weeks before your procedure. People will get used to this. Then when you return to work you can continue to wear the cap until a month or so post op. That way no one will really pick up on anything and it's only for a relatively short time. Personally I just either told people at work or just went ahead and didn't bother what people thought. You will be surprised actually how supportive and happy for you people really are. Thanks for sharing!

Being honest is the best policy. But never get the donor partially shaved. That’s just horrible.

If after using both oral Dutasteride, oral Minoxidil, and Keto shampoo for over a year (without sides) but is still losing alot of hair and miniaturization, both visibly and under microscope, how does one know if they should 1.) increase dose of Dut, 2.) add a topical anti-androgen such as Pyralutamide, or 3.) or a form of Estradiol? In watching some of your videos, there are various terms that I don't understand such as 1.) high or low androgen activity in scalp, 2.) aromatase, 3.) whether increase in scalp testosterone could be an issue for a small group of individuals, etc.. I'd like to do something in addition to what I'm doing now but don't want to exacerbate the situation. Any input is appreciated.

How's your topical Dutasteride going ? I knew it was working well for you a while back any changes since the 1 year update ? my old oral side effects seem to have returned at 15 months on topical for some reason which is disappointing. may try xyonhealth and see if its a quality issue.
