I don't get why schools don't let kids sell stuff. It's a great way to teach kids how to do marketing and start their own buisness. Better lesson than schools just telling you to read this page about it.
Because the school wants you to be employees. The more kids that go to college to become an employee = more taxpayer money since those employees will have high paying jobs that can't have the taxes be avoided from donating to charity.

So I’m Dutch and at my middle school (or high school) we have a huge parking space just for bikes, there is a separate parking spot for first years kids (because in the Netherlands when you go to high school you have 5 years) on those school we have a couple of janitors that kind of make sure everything at school is working properly. If a kid from the 1st year has his bike parked wrong they would chain the bike up so that the kid has to wait until 5:00 pm so that the janitor removes the Cain, the crazy part is that there is a kid in school who has a copy of the padlock he would remove the chain for €5 (which is approximately $6) he has made over €900 already
In my school we had a lollipop black market tat lasted 3 to 4 weeks Some kid in my class started selling lollipops for 50p each, the about half the kids were selling them to But the teachers found out and banned lollipops from the school
I ran a movie business (Cinema) in a science lab at weekends in a boarding school that looked like Hogwarts. I made hundreds at age 14. Ran for 2 semesters before it got shut down. This was in the early 80's.
