Having lived in the area for about 23 years, its really sad to see Frederick making the horrible car-centric planning mistakes that every other city in America seems to be making. It is great to see that they are extending Carroll Creek though, that will be nice. I think the Brickworks neighborhood could be nice, but again, I see too many parking spaces, not enough green spaces, and yeah the style of architecture is horrid. Make it match all the beautiful brick and masonry in Frederick. Its crazy to have seen this small town turn into a city.

Hey thanks for commenting! I take it you don’t like DR Horton. They’ve had some pretty large projects in Frederick recently

I’ve been wondering what they’re going to do with all the open space at Jefferson technology. Heard there was going to be a movie theater being built here and shopping center. Haven’t seen any of it yet

That's the first i've heard of a potential movie theater. I'll look at the permits to see if that's in the works!

The only thing I don't like about the brickworks plan is the open parki g space. They can use that space for more housing

I'm sure they could make that happen but residents wouldn't have anywhere to park! This project has a long way to go.

@@movingtomaryland Is there not any local discussion about car free options? It's such a nice dense town, it seems strange to not consider development that would let people live there without the need for parking. great video!
