This gets my vote for best instructional video.....and Porsche gets my vote for least intuitive system to set up. Thanks

Hey Paul! I just became your subsciber. I like the factuality of your videos and the lack of nonsense blabla. They are the best user manual ever. Thank you n keep up the good work 👍

Very helpful! Thank you Paul. You seem to know a lot about Porsche. PCNA should be paying you.

Excellent video. Thank you. I’m happy to experience the Porsche software working perfectly. And love the PCM screen pop up for Homelink when I arrive near my driveway.

Success, Paul. Thank you for your help. Interestingly, some of the screens were slightly different and they got slightly different responses which might mean that the software has been updated.

Good video. I have synced and deleted my garage many times because it won’t detect the proximity. Do you have any suggestions I can try to get the proximity open to work?

That's why I suggest to not save a location and use the diamond key instead. It's far easier to just hit the button instead of relying on the profile to pop up on the PCM.

I found that Genie Illuminator GL2T won't work with Porsche Homelink.
Porsche Homelink just did not recognize the signal at all.
I'm guessing GL2T generates signals differently from other simpler Genie remotes.
I Had to use an old intellicode remote which fortunately I did not throw away.

I would reach out to HomeLink to confirm garage door compatibility. 1-800-355-3515

So when I do this it wants to know about the diamond on my steering wheel , which I would like to keep for another function. I having a problem.

johnmotter1 when you hold down one of the diamond keys it will ask which one you want to program on the PCM screen. Select which one you would like for HomeLink, the other can be used for another function.

johnmotter1 I would suggest holding the diamond key for a second or two to make sure the signal is sent

  • @johnmotter1

When I press the diamond button on the instrument cluster for a few seconds a message comes up on the main screen asking if I want to change button assignments and gives the steering wheel diamond or instrument cluster as options When I close the message I can choose garage press on the screen and it works no problem. Just pressing the diamond key on the instrument cluster doesn’t seem to work with the message on the screen coming up. Any ideas

johnmotter1 you need to assign the diamond key to access your HomeLink profiles. Once done, just tap the diamond key and it will operate the HomeLink system.

How do I send a video to you of my issue? I must be doing something wrong, maybe it has to do with my profile?
