The exhibition opened at Poklonnaya Hill in Victory Park, showcasing trophies of weapons and military equipment captured by Russian military during the special military operation.
I was struck by the variety of equipment displayed, such as tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, firearms, and engineering weapons from many countries, including Australia, Finland, France, the UK, and the USA, with even some from Turkey.
Each exhibit is accompanied by informational stands detailing the manufacturing countries, technical specifications, and circumstances of capture by Russian soldiers.
The exhibition has attracted thousands of visitors, surprisingly including many foreigners and foreign bloggers, particularly from China, Syria, Spain, and America.
The equipment was captured by Russian soldiers during the special military operation and transported to Moscow. Interestingly, most of the equipment is in good condition, apparently left behind but typically booby-trapped before capture and had to be demined first.
The value of the equipment displayed at the exhibition is estimated to be in the billions of dollars.
Key exhibits include tank fighting vehicles from various countries.
The U.S. M1 "Abrams" tank and the German Leopard 2 tank attract the most visitor interest, with many people taking photographs beside them.
These tanks have had their dynamic protection removed to prevent it from falling into Russian hands, and the Abrams shows a hole from a shell hit.
    Other notable exhibits include:
The M1150 Assault Breacher Vehicle, based on the M1 "Abrams" tank, designed for clearing minefields.
The M88 A2 "Hercules" armored recovery vehicle, used for evacuating tanks from the battlefield.
The M2 A2 "Bradley" armored vehicle, modified for enhanced protection and combat efficiency.
The German Marder IFV, abandoned near Avdiivka.
The "Azovets" armored vehicle, built on a T-64 tank chassis, humorously nicknamed after being dug out.
Among other vehicles: The CV90 IFV from Sweden, the Australian Bushmaster, and Ukrainian T-72 and T-64 tanks .
There is a trophy pavilion which features "Baba Yaga" drone hanging from the ceiling, as well as grenade launchers, rifles including the M4, and communication equipment. Many exhibits are in working condition as they were simply abandoned.
The exhibition of trophy military technology at Victory Park on Poklonnaya Hill in May symbolizes a deep historical connection and respect for the warriors who defended the country in the past. The choice of location and timing for the exhibition emphasizes this, with May 9th celebrated as Victory Day over Nazi Germany.
The exhibition highlights the cultural and historical significance as well as the interest in military technology, evoking patriotic feelings and solidarity.
The interesting thing is that the NATO Secretary General has criticized the display of Western technology, stating that Russia cannot display trophy technology as per general practice until it has won the war.
But many foreign visitors of the exhibition express support for a multipolar world and respect for Russia.
The exhibition operates from 10a.m. to 8p.m. until the end of May, with free admission. After it ends, some exhibits will be sent for further study, while others will be transferred to the "Patriot" park.
