- There are several ways of getting from Bangkok to Hua Hin. I opted for the bus because it seemed the best one.

Nice one Ed, another informative video showing people exactly what not to do 😁
I used Bell travel from Pattaya to HH. Mini bus pick up from front door to coach, single seat on the bus was like an armchair with loads of space between. Arrived in HH and a mini drops to front door there too. On a budget and it was reasonably priced. I’m sure they do a Bkk to HH too.
Do they charge for luggage as me and my missus have a suitcase, a carry on and a rucksack each?
@@TheLman77 I used the BELL bus too from the airport, I booked it online a straight fee with no excess for luggage. though this was several years ago, before the virus. Excellent service though
@@TheLman77 Just checked their website. Allowed two bags, a small carry on and a suitcase up to 20kg. Any big bags after that may charge a fee 20--50 but 100baht was max for a golf bag .
100% bell travel
I’m looking forward to your visit around Hua Hin as I’ve never been there and I want to go there . Nice little drive, stay safe .
Done the same trip last month, hotel to the nearest airport link station, bolt taxi 100 baht, train to airport 30 baht, Full size coach to Hua Hin with recliner seats and seatbelt 😁 349 baht , luggage included, you can prebook online and reserve a seat with BELL TRAVEL SERVICE, free shuttle van included from Hua Hin coach station to town centre, only 5 mins away. They offer a drop off at your hotel for an extra fee, 100/150 baht depending on location.
Cheap Thai food court next to airport coach departure point.
Aircon all the way 👍
Hey Eddie. To get to nana from ekkamai or vice versa, just get the bts. It's a pain to get you suitcase up the stairs but it's a cheap air-conditioned ride with no traffic. Keep up the good work. Love the videos
hey, generally they have an escalater UP, but make you walk down stairs to leave the station. Some have elevators, like at Mochit, but I don't think Nana or Ekamai does. Yes he should have gone BTS...about 35 baht I'd guess. his last vid was IN hua hin no?
He was at the lower end of Soi 4 ,so quite a drag up to the BTS in the current extreme heat .
@@anthonydowling3356 Exactly done that myself and was dripping time i got to bts station
There's a escalator stairs at Nana
It’s a mission to take the BTS with all the luggage but you save yourself the hassle of the rip off taxis who refuse to use the meter in Sukhumvit and you also save yourself a load of beer money!
Hi Eddie. Just watched your journey bye bus from Bangkok to whua Hin. Interesting watch and love your commentary as always. Hotel looks great in whua Hin.see you on the next video. Stay safe.Jim.😉👍
Wow... what an epic adventure from Bangkok to Hua Hin...Ernest Shackleton would be proud of you...!
Thanks for showing the journey. It is great to have a beach town not too far from Bangkok.
Great video mate, keep em coming 👍
Thanks for the video Eddie. Your travel videos always cheer me up. I like it that you tell it like it is. The good and the bad. That room is 100X better than your last one in Bangkok.
Since you weren’t driving, I was surprised that your cold drink wasn’t a beer! But I’m sure you had a cold one when you arrived at Hua Hin. Keep up the good work.
Look forward to vids from Hua Hin. One place in Thailand I have never been ! Keep the brilliant vids coming Eddie. Love the adventures and honest advice and opinions 😊
Thanks 👍
We all have travel days like this at times. All part of the adventure and journey! Good on ya Ed.
From things ive seen about Hua Hin it looks to be a really nice town and i'm looking forward to the things you will show us there Cheers Eddy
I often use the bus from Bangkok (Mochit) to Udonthani from 21:00 to 05:00 because it is only 500 baht and can carry a lot of luggage compared to the airplane. I have never been charged extra for luggage on a bus and seen chickens and everything taken in the luggage. Best to sit in the middle of the two floor bus close to the stairs downstairs as when it crashes or catches on fire you have more chance of escape.
Tip top video edd.bus is going fast glad am wearing a face mask 😷 😂 🤣😂 that was a classic.still laughing now.brilliant humor.have a great time 👍🏼
Cheers, Damon.
Hi Eddie, thanks for the travel tips, my brother and sister in law live in Hua Hin, I'm hoping to get there when my medical issues are sorted. Looking forward to your video's on walking around and things to see and do (and not do) Cheers, Paul in Perth :)
Hope you can make it, Paul
Great vid Eddie, from your rant about the Bolt taxi to seatbelts and facemasks with Stirling Moss..chuckling away as i watched..im 41days away from a 3week stay in Bangkok..yes im counting! Roll on✈️😄👍
Good for you mate
Loved the food jetty’s in Hua Hin, also loved the Centara Grand beach resort, beautiful colonial hotel. Walk in there for breakfast in the gardens, spectacular.
I really enjoyed that little vlog I’ve traveled all around Thailand many times and it was like I was on the journey with you, I normally get a sandwich at the 711 or big c on the midway stop, always nice after a bus journey to get to your room, relax and crack a cold beer. Cheers!
Good to hear from you, Rich.
Good video Eddy ,I always get dropped off at the clock tower in a Hua hin ,by large coach ,safe and very comfortable
Nice informative video Eddie. What you do best mate. 👍
Thanks, Wayne.
I've been to hua hin but cant remember for the life of me how I got there or where I went from, only memory of the place is horses on the beach!!!!
Enjoy
Can't remember? You must have been having a good time!
Hey Eddie your videos are never boring i loved your opening Rant get the anger out Thailand you cant help loving it Chok Dee

Yep your not in any hurry Ed so why not take the bus.. I seem to be following you sadly a week behind but who knows maybe we can cross paths.... I use Cherry Taxi Service... she runs a great team and big vehicles 1000 bht plus expressway.. very reliable
Stayed in that hotel a few times good breakfast & lovely pool & very easy access to beach
Good to see you Geezer
I have been to Hua Hin for about 20 years ago, very nice place, Look forward to see how the city looks theese days. Hope you have a nice stay in Hua Hin.
Thanks Eddie. In Feb 2023 I took the bus trip (from BKK to Hua Hin). Your video helped me and the GF to "not fear" the trip.
Good to hear, mate. Cheers.
Dear Ed,
Great vid!
And thank god you got a proper haircut!
Best
You had me laughing regarding your “ no seatbelt” issue. Hope I get to meet you on my next trip, keep posting. Enjoy your videos always
Thanks, you too!
I really enjoyed that Eddie, so looking forward to your further vlogs from Hua Hin....I hope to go there again one day, especially as my Thai niece is working at the Marriot hotel there
I love the buses Eddie. Cheap as chips. Just sit back and relax mate . Enjoy
the amount of times Eddie has been going to thailand and im thinking dose he know about BELL TRAVEL SERVICES
Eddie is on the move , good luck brother.
Jim’s taxi sounds the best option. I’ve done that bus ride from Victory Monument, if the bus is full.....it’s not great.
Anyhoo....your now in my Fav city in LOS, think it’s a tad quiet, enjoy , and relax Edd.
Hope you have a few beers on Soi 80....maybe with Jim n Johnny 👍
Good to see you’d de-stressed and relaxed by the time you’d arrived in your room Ed, Maybe a nice massage is in order😉. And thanks for all your efforts m8, it’s much appreciated.
You love these bus trips don't you Ed, you must be missing the national express 501 😂😂
I remember getting the bus from Bangkok airport to Pattaya a few years ago with my mate from Melbourne when passengers started screaming . Apparently the bus driver had fallen asleep and his mate was sitting in the back of the bus . Luckily after a few swerves he was tapped on the back by passengers which avoided a catastrophe ..
Now I'm going to hire a car from the airport 😂 yes I'll drive 🤣 why not Which way to Pattaya
Ste bus ok
123 bht
I found Spain hard driving round

I enjoyed the train from BKK to Hua Hin. No traffic, nice countryside views most of the way once outside BKK. Includes lunch.
Hi Eddie, great little video, hope you enjoy Hua Hin, it's one of my favourite places ... If you get chance try the train next time from BKK to Hua Hin, it takes about 3hrs 45mins but a great experience and the old train station in Hua Hin is worth a visit ... Enjoy !
According to the time table the train can take between 4 hours 45 and 5 hours 30 from Bangkok to Hua Hin.
@@grahamjohnson4702 Can only tell you of my experience of Hua Hin to BKK 👍
@@neils9725 How come you experience a faster journey than the timetable allows, especially as there are a lot of speed restrictions on the track, you can see these looking out of the window if you know anything about railways.
@@grahamjohnson4702perhaps you should take the journey and then make comment ?
@@neils9725 No need I know I am right and the fasted journey as posted by Thai Railways is 4 hours and 9 minutes, check the internet and forget those times as posted of less than 4 hours those trains don't appear on the train timetable.
Edd my real question is are you going to fly out of Bangkok or which other airport?
I got the early morning mail train from Hua Hin to Bangkok no stops only took a couple of hours. Maybe an option for going back. Or get the airport bus back luggage included. I also got charged 100 baht for my case from Cha am to Ekami I think its a little perk for the driver Hua Hin is one of my fave places.
The early morning mail train, the fastest train, takes 4 hours and 40 minutes, there are a lot of speed limits on Thai Railways like 40 kph.
good information video
Off to hua hin on November 12 th on bus for thanks for the tip video. Did you get ticket prior to the day or on the day of departure
Day of departure, from bus station.
Urgent question to anyone who can answer!
Will Thai airways or indeed Thailand accept PCR fit to fly test or does it specifically have to be the RT-PCR test as I’m massively confused as I didn’t know that they were different (if indeed they are!)
RT PCR but I was told they all are now.
From the lower end of Nana, going to Nana Station, I always cut through via Soi 6 Alley, on the corner with the Swan restaurant. It cuts about 300m off the walk. I've only done Bangkok > Hua Hin by private taxi though. I seem to remember the expressway going through/over a pretty ugly part of Bangkok, which made Thailand look about as enticing as the M6 cutting through Walsall.
I hope you enjoy your stay in Hua Hin Eddie.
I have many happy memories of HH, I met my late Thai wife there!
Beautiful beaches and a nice atmosphere.
Bolt taxi service was ok when I last used them for my BKK - Pattaya trip, they asked me for feedback on their service after I got to Pattaya!
Take care 🙏
Good to hear from you, Joe.
Top job there my main man Eduardo
Thanks Eddie,
when I was living near terminal 21 Sukhumvit & asok I used to take the BTS to ekkamai bus station and minivan from there whether i was going to pattaya or hua hin.
Or I've taken the minivan to hua hin from across the street from mochit bus station.
Look forward to your hotel video review.
okay thanks again
Big Ed
3 cheers for the bus system! Hope you’ll check out and film Cha-am, for at least a day (Thailand Bound’s Peter loves it).
Nice one Ed ....... El Murphys for a pint of Chang is where i would be heading if i was there , then the Pink Panther later for a few more .......
I normally use the airport bus from BKK to HH, but not sure if its still running. Failing that I have a good reliable taxi driver, in fact its a LB who charges 1500 Baht which I think is Ok, door to door service. She has been on a few my vids as well. Enjoyed the vid Ed
Cheers, Jim
I've heard of her, she's good they say. NO point in going to the airport from Nana tho.
bell travel is still running, 350 baht per person + 150 for bus from hua hin station to takiab for example. for 2 people that's 1000. you can get taxi for around 1600.
happy ending included?
Train is slow, but in heavy traffic, still an option😇 The vip busses are very comfortable for long trips.
Nice little town Hua Hin
Thanks great information.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Phraya Nakhon cave just outside Hua Hin is well worth checking out. Absolutely stunning
Loving your journey Steady E.
Last week in Sanremo for me.
Great race finish yesterday.
Quiet today.
Very windy tho.
Sounds like you've had a journey to remember. Good for you.
hmmm nice drive 💪💪💪
nice hotel Edward 💪💪💪💪💪
be lucky 😉
be safe ❤️
love from me Rooha ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, Rona
@@STEADY599 my pleasure ❤️❤️
Awesome vdo was gonna ask you on livestream last week how the trip was from bkk to hh thanks for vlog!
Thought you can get bus from airport then direct to Hua Hin?
Roong Reaung Coach company
I had to laugh when you said you were dropped off at the wrong location (hotel). This happened to me when I took the bus from Bangkok to Pattaya. At the Pattaya bus station, the baht bus driver said he knew my hotel. When he stopped to drop me off, I was confused because I had looked at the map location and this was no where near my hotel. The baht bus driver insisted that this was my destination so I got off with my luggage. As I walked to where he had pointed, I immediately realized that this was the wrong hotel. I looked at the map again (I am "old school" and still print everything including maps) and my hotel was four blocks away across several busy roads. I wasn't happy walking through crowded sidewalks, crossing busy streets, dragging luggage that no wheels, and in sweltering heat.
What's the name of the hotel you're staying at in Hua Hin Eddie please.
I normally choose flights because of time restrictions plus internal flights are so cheap but I'm not a huge fan of being on a busses although flying would mean the added charge of a rapid flow test 550 baht 🤔. Anyway these warts and all vlogs are very intriguing I hope they continue, all the best pal.....and cheers 🍻😃
Cheers, Jonny
What hotel did you stay at ?
Hi Eddy, Hua Hin can get boring after 4 hours in my humble opinion 😁 please enjoy every minute and my sincere wishes for a healthy and enjoyable holiday
Love watching never done it
I gave up on bolt first time as the bike said it'd take 30 mins. i just went back to grab; job done.
I prefer the old fashioned way tuk-tuk then train. Train might be slower, but you can relax and have lunch. Much better than white knuckling it all the way, just to save an hour or two. Before you could get the MRT from Asok to Hua Lumphong, but sadly HL is now closed :-(
I agree & I am reminded of the old British Rail slogan Let The The Train Take The Strain.
Thanks Eddie! Great video. Look forward to your videos in Hua Hin - such a lovely place!
It's the excitement of travel steady
Eddie I love Hua Hin the beach is fantastic ... I'd really recommend the large forecourt and entertainment at Baan khun por Soi 88 you can get large bottles of Leo etc very reasonably priced and so much food to enjoy ,all the usual favourites plus a good Indian stall.... all the nightlife now seems to be at Soi 94 just a bit further along from Baan khun por.
Thanks for your info
if were at nana plaza, why not hop on the skyrail to ekkamai station? fast ez trip, only like 3 or 4 stops. air con on bus?
With a big suitcase?
@@STEADY599 hahaha I hear you. I do it but ya, other comments said you were at far end so that is a drag
In hindsight, by the time you pay for taxis from/to hotel and tips etc, plus the potential for stuff ups, a direct taxi door to door sounds better to me.
Minibus drivers grr nuff said.. Nice clean loom .. Hope you chill n enjoy . Not sure who told you train journeys are comfortable.Maybe they have changed. First class on the train i took from bkk to khon kaen meant the carriages had windows blacked out with mesh and a fan on roof (not working of course). And the option to stand outside between the carriages, like in a cowboy movie.. It stopped at loads of places and people got on to sell food and got off again..ok for first cpl hours but journey took 10 hours..VIP Big buses are the best by far. Drawback its station to station not direct to hotel. But as we know all stations have follow on transport.. I forsee a happy man by the beach with a cold one n some nosh coming soon.. cheers
Thanks for your info
Love to see you experience traveling by bus to Hua Hin.300 B Not bad.
Good video Eddie, YES?
Either the bus services have been cut back or you got done by the mini-buses at the front of the bus station. Inside there are several different ticket offices.
Ah, good ol Ekkamai bus stn...departure point tor Pattaya! There's a great Japanese shopping centre in front of the BTS station, great Japanese food at reasonable prices. I love using Public transport in Bangkok, BTS Skytrain, metro and the local buses, many of which are ancient Mitsubishi, Izuzu or Hino types with no air con and local body work. Hanging out of the window of one of these beasts is fun! Incredibly cheap and there's sometimes a cute/smart conductress to take your fare! I'd prefer the large bus to Hua Hin myself, though the mini bus looks ok. Enjoy Hua Hin Eddy boy!
Thanks, mate.
Good to see you making a vid about the question I asked in chat.
I got a Bolt taxi from BKK to Jomtien for under 1,350B and he paid the fees.
I seem to have less luck with driver quality and speed of pickup while attempting to travel within the city than long distances.
Hay Geezer can you show us around where all the Shelia’s are, have a fantastic time Geezer
Hey Ed, I reckon you'll be enjoying a few cold beers tonight.
The adventure is the journey and since you are in Hua Hin you might want to walk to the train station as the road leading to it had a nice night market and heaps of restraunts.
And if you are looking at bars go behind the temple for all beer bars.
I got a bus from Pattaya to Bangkok many yrs ago, it was raining and he was hammering it, when I seen a car upside down in the middle drainage canal, I prayed the rest of the way.
Yesterday my journey from Ko Pha Ngan island to Jomtien took about 8 hours, 11.30 half hour Catamaran boat to Ko Samui, had time for a Sunday Lunch at the Shakespeare Pub in Bangrak, walked to Samui airport, I only have a very small backpack and I like walking, plane was an hour late, never mind there’s lots of coffee shops, one hour to Suvarnabhumi Airport, then a 130baht bus to Jomtien, 10 mins walk to my condo, it was a breeze, home by 6.30 pm. The only gripe was the one way flight was £90, but still worth it for the convenience, only Bangkok Airways fly there. Going it was only £50. By the way Ko Pha Ngan is my current favourite island, so many beautiful beaches and waterfalls to see and amazing quality restaurants everywhere, plus cheap Thai food, yes it’s full of the young crowd, met some older people who loved the place! A motorbike is a must to see the best spots! Oh Eddie a few stops on the BTS Skytrain, so easy! I always travel with a small backpack, a few t-shirts and a couple of shorts is all you need in Thailand imo!
Sounds great, Roy. Thanks for your info.
I can see you trying out some wind surfing at that beach 🤣 😂
That's a journey I've done many times Eddie.
Your right Eddie Wah hin.
Try Ola loft bar soi 94, enjoy your holidays. Chok dee. Thailand 🇹🇭
Edd you have to catch public transport next yes a public bus I done it a few times so looking forward to that 😂 at least your doing it the thai way and eating thai food looking forward to seeing your vlogs in hoi hin are you planning cha am as well
fantastic pissed myself talk about a comedy well done Eddie
Cheers, Alan.
Why not use the BTS from Nanna to Ekkamai? Not a problem with a suitcase, I've done it plenty of times.
You should never sit at the back of a Thai bus. Remember this so as to avoid major surgery in the not to distant future. Same goes for minibuses.
I did Rai to Hua Hin took nearly 10 hours. Taxi, Plane, Mini Bus and a taxi. Don't do it. After that awful journey all I wanted was a beer and some minge. Not sure it's for you but the Cat club is good if it's still going, there's loads of bars nearby. Murphy's Bar is good for drinks and food, not the cheapest but does a great pint. Have you been down Soi Bintabaht yet? Would be interesting to see down there at some point. Hopefully no tumbleweed. Enjoy your time in Hua Hin mate
Saw many stories about Mini Bus crashes in Thailand news. No Thanks.
@@kentclark5594 oh no it's in the news so everyone panic and stop travelling by bus. Unfortunately health and safety isn't the best in Thailand everyone knows this. Very little you can do apart from be sensible and use common sense. The journey is mainly flat and isn't dangerous. Now going Rai to Pai is another story. SE Asia is notorious for accidents. I always look up the details of the routes. Little bit of homework before traveling which everyone should be doing especially with today's technology.
@@KippaxInThailand I've experienced these crazy trips by Big Bus. Mini Bus, Taxi, Motor Taxi, Water Taxi, Tuk-Tuk...etc. Hard to research everything. But, I get your point. Common sense is the best safety plan.
What’s the name of the hotel
One of my favourite places in Thailand Eddie, looking forward to seeing your upcoming videos in Hua Hin.
I caught the early train from Bangkok to Hua Hin, from memory it was around 7.30 am and took just under 4 hours, but definitely the best way to travel. You can get a sleeper birth and have the porter fold out your seat into a bed and relax watching the magnificent countryside views!
I prefer not to get the gf pregnant🤣
@@alanmc9152 definitely don't get the seats folded down then!
a sleeper for a 4 hour trip?????
caught train from what station?
GREAT vlog ED.......how much was the hotel..it looked great..how would you compare HH to Patters? night life, resterants and girls?
Is that the big bus or the suicide bus? I find the best and safest way is get to Suvarnabhumi airport 45 baht airport rail link then air conditioned leather seat comfortable bus from airport to Hua Hin 300 Baht I find its the best safe and most comfortable way
Do you have to do a test to get into a hotel Eddie? I heard this hope it is not true.
No.
Ekkanai bus station! Christ I have memories of that place. Absolutely hanging still half pissed and looking for a bus south 🤣
Hi Eddie, did you loose your money on that Grab booking, don't you have to pay upfront on the app?
No seatbelts? next time get a face mask with the built in air bags. Have fun in Hua Hin :)
No, it's Bolt and you pay cash
Glad you made it to Hua Hin, Eddie! Please take us with you as I would like to get a dose of nightlife and activity in Hua Hin! Thx again Steady!
The new train will be nice.
