  • Exploratory road trips come with inherent chaos. An arctic outflow followed by insane snowfall; BC's northern Coast Range is a wild place with a big heart.

    I'm incredibly impressed with your filmmaking skills. As someone who love running and exploring, you really seem to be able to capture the magic of being outside.

    So handy to have an inexpensive pet helicopter to get you in and out of trouble.

    I've heard that helicopter skiing is one of the most environmentally friendly forms of tourism and sport there is.

    Really nice vid. Make lemonade when nature gives you lemons. A list of items worn would sure be nice by clicking "show more"... Arc'teryx doesn't need to when their stuff is 70% more than Marmot or the rest I guess...

      With all due respect , no that thread doesn't help !! Why would Arc back such a vid and NOT have people involved list what they were wearing !?!? Just STUPID !!! Hell there and dozens of backpacking , ski , winter camping etc,etc channels that list all their gear for viewers . Would expect MUCH more than this from Arc'teryx !!!!! Sad !! Extra 30 mins by editing and could have been done !! Doesn't anyone get that we are looking at this vid just wondering what you all are wearing to survive and strive ?!?! Sorry , I just don't get it ?!?!

      I don't think that's what s/he meant. Arc'teryx used to make some amazing videos (that can still be found on their channel) like 'The Lost Valley', 'Viva la Vie', 'Desert Ice', or 'Patagonia Dreamin''. Videos that feature beautiful videography AND a more exciting story than just a couple of people camping in the cold and occasionally skiing off for a couple of hours.
      It seems they have stopped investing in such content, which I, too, find sad.

    I came here looking for Arc'teryx's creative and complex clothing designs, but instead I get a National Geographic documentary. Come on, talk about the tailors, materials,.... For example, why the name "Arc'teryx"? Did you start off the company as archeologists? Stuff like that.

    Neat vid. Beautifully filmed, like all the arcteryx vids, which are mostly excellent.
    The pushing of PC minority groups is rather tedious tho... very Canadian... paints a mostly false picture... teamwork is much more of a male forte than a female one, ask any woman working in an office with women.

    • @Jobother
      @Jobother Před 7 lety +11

      yeah you're right bud, thats why they're outside doing badass stuff in the mountains and you're behind a keyboard...

    • @MrAussieJules
      @MrAussieJules Před 7 lety +4

      well , lefty tactic number 1: name calling (racist, sexist...) number 2 : smear the opponent (he's stupid/fat whatever). SO predictable, darlings... such brainwashed zombies... doesnt it get old to be repeating those bromides they force fed you with ?
      yes, well we are all behind keyboards at some stage... personally, I did the Dhaulagiri trek solo in Nepal , soloed the Cosmiques route in Chamonix and led pitches on the voie Mazeaud-Contamines (AD) in Chamonix. I've also done more than 10 solo sea kayaking expeditions in Australia.
      on the subject on female supremacism (aka modern feminism) and other PC B.S, I have had it up to here with the fascist/marxist bullshit that is the pushing of groups against each other (men against women, gays against straights etc etc) , as have many others , which is why Trump got elected...
      One of my heroes is Margaret Thatcher, who famously said she owed nothing to feminism. I bet Lyn Hill, American rock climber would say the same thing. Identity politics is for haters and loosers.

      MrAussieJules God forbid Arcteryx include ONE non-white person in their short films for once without someone getting hysterical about it. "Paints a mostly false picture" - if anything, this is a gross underrepresentation of minorities in Canada.
      As for the teamwork thing, where is this even coming from? Where in the video did they show a failure to work together?

    • @cooper4590
      @cooper4590 Před 6 lety

      How is that a bad thing? How is it a false picture? Why is that an issue? The teamwork bit is baseless and false.
