I feel like if Kana died then Aqua might actually lose it because in chapter 83 Aqua said if he loses another person he cares about he doesn’t know if he can take it anymore and when he says that he looks like he’s at his breaking point. So I believe if something happens to Kana then Aqua might just snap and will probably take out his anger by getting revenge on his father

Love Kana’s individual growth and the catching date with Aqua! Very wholesome chapter, glad to see these two are hitting it off but I’m not getting too comfortable since I still feel skeptical about future chapters because the movie finally finished and who knows what’ll happen.
I do not like the odd foreshadowing or juxtaposition of kana wanting to be aqua's only idol when Ai was also Aqua's only idol and we know that she died.
The higher the standing the harder the fall.
But he now has the option to choose, remember Ai is dead, she is no longer the star for the society. Though it'll probably be harsh.
Aqua and Kana's first date may have been simple but it was still pretty wholesome 🥰 and it was nice to know what their dreams are, that Aqua wants to be a doctor like how he was in his past life and that Kana wants to be the only girl that Aqua looks at ☺️ but that line about her wanting to be his star has me a little bit worried because we all know what Hikaru likes to do to with people's Stars.😢

The series finale is probably going to be with Christmas and that final B-komachi concert, hikaru is most likely to attack our protagonists there and most likely ichigo, aqua, akane, whoever is gonna stop him, finally talking to him revealing the truth about the entire manga, Aqua seeing that he has a life now won't kill him, they probably arrest him or something like that and that's the story. I think that could be interesting, Aqua not ending up like his father, Ruby not ending up like his mother, Kana being the star that she always wanted to be and ending up with the man she loves... idk people to me that's a good ending it's not necessary to do something so dark like kana or ruby diying and Aqua grows the biggest black stars of all time and will kill every criminal in existence like kira

The thing is, with the movie being nearly done, the Hikaru-plotline is gonna reach the point of a serious conflict soon. To have these lighthearted chapters right before that showdown is a writing skill Aka-sensei's (likely) using right now. You make audiences feel at ease and make them more attached to a certain character, so it will have a much bigger impact when you make something tragic happen to them.
@alpha-sama You don't have to kill someone to prove a point. People really push hard the idea of someone getting killed like it's the easiest thing in the world, and it's true that hikaru could just show up with a gun and murder every character, but the plot (being cohesive because it's a fictional story) could most likely be a hyper complex plan that involves 10 million steps to murder one of the main characters. What I'm trying to say basically is that hikaru isn't unstoppable and he doesn't need to kill someone to make it dramatic because that's not dramatic, that's tragic and for tragedies we already had Ai's death. I say the same thing as in my other message, I seriously don't understand why it's obligatory to have one of the girls being murdered

I don't think she going to die but maybe like get into a life-or-death situation, I feel like the whole legendary story of Oshi No Ko is going to collapse if Kana dies.

Okay, hear me out: I don't think Aqua reciprocates Kana's feelings. Why? Well, in the last panel where Kana is confessing to Aqua, you see the stars in his eyes are still black. If he reciprocated, wouldn't the stars in his eyes become white or just disappear entirely? This might not mean much in the grand scheme of things, but it was just something I noticed.
I think this further proves my theory that Kana will not make it to the end of the story, because she's the closest to Aqua and she has had the most Ls.
However, the more I thought about it, the more I think Hikaru won't be the one to kill Kana. I actually think it might be Nino. I mean, think about it. Outside of seeing Ruby attempt to imitate Ai, we haven't seen much of Nino being useful to Hikaru. So, for some reason, I imagined Nino in this chapter was somehow watching Aqua and Kana's date play out.
She probably assumed that the last thing Hikaru wanted to do before eventually dying was getting to meet Aqua, and she was probably willing to do anything to make it happen. (Okay, side note, but I kinda headcanon Nino as a yandere for Hikaru. This might be wrong later on, but it's just a fun headcanon I had lol)
Anyways, back on track of my theory, Nino will just assume that Hikaru wants to meet Aqua, so she figures that killing the person he might potentially enter into a relationship with is the only way to make that happen.
I think her method of killing might be different to Hikaru's. For one, I headcanon that Nino hasn't killed anyone beforehand, so she might be a little nervous as to how she might go about this. Eventually, after a potential conversation with Hikaru, she might decide to actually go through with her plan. What would make this even sadder is if she killed Kana on Christmas.
How she might choose to have Kana killed? Well, she could kill Kana the same way that Ai died, blackmailing someone with information on Kana to have them kill her. She could also try to do Hikaru's modus operandi and try to form a bond with Kana before killing her.
Honestly, I could see both of those happening. The first one could be true because Nino would think it would be easier than just having to do it herself. Plus, if the person gets caught, the blame would be pinned on them instead of her, thus letting her walk free.
However, if my yandere Nino headcanon is true, then I could see her potentially try to copy Hikaru's killing technique as a way of attempting to get him to notice her. If we want to take this a step further, maybe Hikaru could have her arrested and Nino just flips out as the person she was obsessing over ended up stabbing her in the back.
Anyway, this is just my personal theory! (This sounds a lot like something you'd find on Wattpad, AO3, or Tumblr, huh? Sorry 'bout that, didn't mean for it to go that way 😅)

Even when his star eyes is white he still obsessed with revenge. Also the colour of the star eyes is just like symbolic of their mental health consider they always had s*icide thought whenever their star eyes is black.
Considering Aqua has his black staringan, he is still thinking about the revenge I think.
At this point, I don’t think Aqua will reject Kana mainly because Aka has written the other 2 competitors out for the moment. Akane took herself out and Aqua stated he only sees Ruby as his sister. That just leaves Kana, who’s actually taking initiative for once and we know Aqua likes has feelings for her as well.
Whether or not Aqua pursues revenge won’t matter now. He’ll either be with Kana eventually or she will die. I think the poster at the end could be hinting at Kana being targeted as well if we presume the other ripped posters and the room belongs to Hikaru or potentially even Nino which could actually make sense too since she was an idol as well.

This theory DOES have potential. Kana and Nino have been shown to parallel each other before so it would be a neat way to mirror the plot with Ai/Ruby and Nino/Kana. I wouldn't want Ruby to be written out of the death flag plot.

There's another death flag, people are talking about it on Twitter... but the last panel shows a poster of the tour on a door... with other ripped posters (possibly done in a fit of rage). People think it's a crazy fan, possibly the guy hiding his face at the start of 117. At the beginning she also wore glasses like Yura Katayose.
Yeah I noticed that too. I think it could also be Hikaru or even Nino which would be crazy too. But the psycho fan would actually be a great parallel to Ai too!

Honestly the first person I thought of was Nino too when I saw the door with the posters but I feel like…it doesn’t make a lot of sense from a narrative perspective only because Nino wouldn’t have much reason to go after Kana since her main antagonistic interaction was with Ruby (but to be fair Kana started the conversation with her so there is /some/ basis to it). I feel like we would need to see more to be able to make sense of Nino being the one but at the same time that so many people actually thought of her even without more context may prove me wrong.

Nice little chapter, very comforting to see how full-circle its come around 2 years later for Aqua & Kana! Just as ive been fearing from these last few chapters, the foreshadowing has been eerie in spite of all the romantic sub-plot. It's clear Aqua's gonna be torn between different paths and outcomes, Aka does like to do specific dates (Love is War) so we're in for something pretty huge when it comes around. Like previous chapter,this one gives me feeling of impending doom. Her interview felt like watching Kakyoin's back story right before Dio turned him into a doughnut. Hikaru is going to attack on the day of the concert,thematically makes sense,to draw parallels to Ai attack. And just like AI's attack,Hikaru will just be a puppet master,Nino(was that the name of old B Komachi member?)is going to do it...

He loved her in his previous life and got to know her in a much deeper level by being her doctor as well as their new relationship of being her son. I don't know how to feel about where the story is going. All I can say is that Aka has forgotten what the story was all about. He can't write romance well, I can see that very well. Kana, a genius child prodigy whose wish was to become a great actress, just gave up that dream because she wants to be Aqua's idol. Idek how being someone's star is a dream, espeically because you've feelings for them.

Let me just say one thing, Aka can't write stuff clearly. Aqua is such a weird character now. I know Aka has confirmed that Aqua has feelings for Kana, but I can't see it? At first, the kanafans said it was because he wanted to protect her. Well, he isn't really doing a good job at it.
No, Aqua can't protect anyone. He couldn't protect his own sister, Akane had to be there to protect her from Kamiki. Idk what he's planning or maybe that's because Aka's going through a writer's block, because we haven't gotten to the story's main theme.

Why did Hikaru and Ai break up? What did Ai say to Hikaru? Ai wouldn't do that to just anyone, girl is no simp. If she hadn't cared for Hikaru, she would've never confronted Airi. Nor would she have kept it all a secret.
Why didn't we see this more? Wasn't the story about revenge? Is getting revenge, or more like focusing more on that such a trivial thing?
Aka can't write romance clearly. He painted Akane, a character with such wits and beauty, as a perfect actress. But she had her own flaws. Her caring, ride or die attitude wit Aqua was degraded to being a "simp". Now, Aka has completely casted her aside.
Then we have Kana, who just a chapter ago had completely given up on Aqua. Now she's back at it again. I mean, choose one side. Are Kana's feelings for Aqua so low, that she would give up on him so easily? Akane had to clear up everything with her to get her back it again.
That too, Akane still has feelings for Aqua but unlike Kana, she doesnt go around announcing it everywhere. Girl has already accepted that Aqua and Kana are better off, without even giving herself a chance.
Kana would've never been able to reach this far without Akane and the writer himself, changing everything for her sake.
Aka has literally made her this, "top-tier girl who deserves everything", and even changed the story's direction because of her. The problem is, majority of Oshi no ko fans dont mind this because they like Kana and her "crappy, mood swings".
