    good job sir, but why is one of the edge of your base parallel to the vertical plane if the question states that it should be perpendicular to the vertical plane?

    A hexagonal pyramid, 30 mm base side and 55 mm axis is lying on HP on its triangular face with its axis parallel to VP. It is cut by a section plane normal to HP and 30° inclined to VP, bisecting the axis in the topview. Draw the development of remaining solid.

    Plz note that in the development,a' and b' are between O and 1, and O and 1,and not between 1 and 2, and 5 and 1 respectively.

    Sir, the orientation of the cutting plane can be taken the other way around so that the edge of the pyramid perpendicular to the XY line (in the top view) entirely get cut out....thus in that case development would be different...right?

    solve this question please
    Draw development of a hesagonal pyramid side of bade 20 mm and height 50 mm, when it is cut by a plane inclined at 45° to the H.P. and perpendicular to the V.p. and passing through one of the extreme edge of the pyramid. The pyramid is resting on its base on the H.P. and one edge of the base is inclined at 20° to the V.P.

    There are two possibilities of keeping prism and two for sectional plane. I guess you understood. Is it ok to have section plane at 60° exactly opposite of you done. Please reply it would be more helpful.

    Sir, the cutting plane is perpendicular to hp as mentioned in the question so at 30 mm above we should make 30 degrees and not 60 degrees?

    I tried with one edge of the base is parallel to VP, found the true length of one of the slant using arc method and made it parallel to VP. This True length and the True length in your solution is the same. Is that correct sir?

    Why this Pentagon is used.. we could have the Inversed image on the pentagon ... The mirror image of this pentagon {where perpendicular edge is on left and corner on right}...

      I mean... Same question but the pentagon taken is total mirror image of this pentagon ( perpendicular edge on left side and corner on right side- which is exact opposite to what you considered ) will the answer be still correct or the this assumption of the top view is false...??
