Sir, the orientation of the cutting plane can be taken the other way around so that the edge of the pyramid perpendicular to the XY line (in the top view) entirely get cut out....thus in that case development would be different...right?

Draw development of a hesagonal pyramid side of bade 20 mm and height 50 mm, when it is cut by a plane inclined at 45° to the H.P. and perpendicular to the V.p. and passing through one of the extreme edge of the pyramid. There are two possibilities of keeping prism and two for sectional plane. I guess you understood. Is it ok to have section plane at 60° exactly opposite of you done. Please reply it would be more helpful.
