Parasma is not good in games where you will face people going Lotus or against abaddon for dispel. In some games Manta is good (e.g. vs treant). There is lot of options for invoker even dagon with bonus spell dmg from exort with kotl in team can work (however it is clown).
you NEED to user meteor/tornado for wave clear on high level W/E. every invoker main/pros always clear the wave with meteor, also SE doesnt do that much on invoker, unless you're the only SE heroes on the team to counter passive dependent hero like BB

The main difference is that exort CAN farm, quas wex can't really do that so he has to look for plays to get gold and xp. Quas wex also has more sustain and lower cooldowns so he doesn't need to buy as much mana regen item = online faster. But afk farm + sunstrike exort invoker just isn't good most games, unless you have insane setup but in that case you can just meteor sunstrike blast and any hero dies 100-0. And lastly, u combo cataclysm with emp icewall, nado is not reliable setup as their model is spinning in the air = when they land, its not 100% certain cataclysm hits even if u time it perfectly. But if u have hex, refresher and aghs and unado icewall emp hex cata meteor refresh hex emp cata meteor blast its around 5 million damage with lvl 25 talent (from invis btw)
That's not really possible atm. I assume the meta in Dota is very different in average elo, high elo and pro play, just like in League. But I think the overall answer is that Dota is a lot slower and team dependent, while League is more mechanical & action-packed.
Nemesis. I think you are taking too much minion damage during trades and harass. try to look at wave state before auto attacking to prevent aggroing 3 minions at once.
