So we hardly ever have a proper holiday with exploring a new place. But this May I was on the Greek island Lesbos and had a marvelous time. Orange blossom smell everywhere, flowers, nice sea view, very friendly people, a lot of walking, couple of interesting old things to visit, good food, no tourists and perfect 20 degrees. I definitely want to repeat this trip. At the moment I am wearing a cardigan, made from fabric I bought on Lesbos. Best souvenir. And bravo to you for your 2000 subscribers. 🎉
Anywhere in the mountains of the USA is a perfect vacation for me. Somewhere where I can walk near a mountain stream makes my heart sing. I have never sewn on vacation but if we ever take a real vacation again I will take a sewing machine. Lovely shorts and sweet dog!
Hi. Lovely to hear you are having a nice holiday. We have holidayed in North Devon for 10 years and loved it here so much, we have moved from the Midlands to Barnstaple. We have always loved Bude. The falcon hotel is a lovely place to eat and they allow dogs into one area. Sunday lunch there is great. Also I love the remnant house for fabric, when we are down there. Lovely shorts.

We got married in bude chosen because the registry office allowed dogs (she goes everywhere with us) but our usual destination is a bit further down near Crantock. Never taken a sewing machine on holiday but when we were on a lovely break in Stonehaven hubby was wearing a beloved ancient pair of shorts to walk down to Dunnottar castle. On the way he slipped and fell splitting the said shorts in a very private (but hilarious) place! For some unknown reason I happened to have a travel sewing kit in my backpack 🤷🏻♀️and knelt in front of him to repair them there and then. The little scissors were absolutely useless so had to bite the excess thread once sewn. Need I say more………lots of laughing by us and very curious passing tourists 😂😉

I forgot to tell you my favourite holiday. I don’t go on holiday every year. I love going on the Camino pilgrimage. I have done 3 walks of St James. I would love a holiday in Cornwall. I love going to very sit my daughters and when I do my grandchildren love me bringing my sewing stuff and teaching them simple things to make to get them interested. I loved your vlog. The fabric shop was interesting. I don’t get to a shop very often. I live near the snowy mountains in Australia in a little town with x 450 inhabitants. Bye for now 🥰

So excited for your success with the channel. I made a pair of those shorts in double gauze for my daughter this spring. So cute and comfortable. I live in the middle of 🇨🇦. My daughter is way to the east and my son is on the west coast. I love going on holiday to visit them and explore the country in their vicinity. I sew most of their clothes so I borrow a machine from a relative when in Victoria BC. because I usually fly out there and since I drive to my daughter's, I take my machine. I have recovered sofa cushions, made curtains, and repaired/adapted previous makes for them interspersed with hiking mountains and kayaking rivers and inlets. Had a great time shopping for dungaree fabric in a shop in Rimouski Quebec. Tested my French and the patience of the friendly shop keeper. Best kinds of holidays mix my favorite people, beautiful places and the best hobby.

My father worked for the railway when I was young so a lot of holidays were spent in Devon, now I live in Canada an hour away from the mountains and spectacular lakes. I've never taken my machine although I've been tempted 😂 I can't remember who the vlogger was as it was some time ago but she cuts out and overlocks her projects before she goes away which is quite a good idea. Our favourite holiday spot is Coldingham in the Scottish Borders. We have been going each year since our boys were about 4 and 6. Now 17 and 19 they still ask to go.❤❤❤ I have not taken my sewing machine there yet but suspect this will be the year that I do as I am determined to make a quilt for the 17 year old starting uni in September. Eek!! I did take my machine to Center Parcs in Woburn a good few years ago. I had broken my coccyx a few months before and water slides weren't an option. The weather was gorgeous so I set everything up outside and it was glorious. As well as enjoying the sewing there was wonderful wildlife. A woodpecker visited each morning. Amazing!! Thank you for your videos and for this competition.

We go to Bridlington as my son loves it. When on holiday I normally take some hand sewing or last year I did some cutting out for some quilts for us all.

Hi Katherine,, congrats on reaching 2000 (well deserved) Really enjoy your channel. I'm just back from a static holiday (with pooch, hubby and 87 year old mother) to a Parkdean resort in Dorset, absolutely loved it, It really is the way to see the UK. Apparently, you can hop around the static parks off season with dogs for £120 peer week out of season, which I didn't know about, but will jump on that band wagon. We did a day in Lyme Regis which was lovely and of course went to Weymouth beach (beautiful). I just love the South West coast which is just a hop along for us really as we are East Sussex, pretty near Hastings. That's a caravan??? It's massive! But beautifully decorated! Love the fact that you can actually have room to sew. I LOVED the sleeping bags from grobag when my babies were small but a fitted swaddle was the thing for my youngest because I could not swaddle her for love nor money! What a brilliant trick with the pin. I'll have to try that one. My favourite holiday destination would be ITALY - but I have never been so does this count? I don't really go on holiday☹

Hi Katheryn , my favorite holiday place is North Wales. We go to a very pretty town called Criccieth . We always take our dog. I always take sewing on holiday mostly hand sewing embroidery or any finishing off I need to do by hand. Enjoy your stay in Cornwall.

My father worked for the railway when I was young so a lot of holidays were spent in Devon, now I live in Canada an hour away from the mountains and spectacular lakes. We are lucky to be travelling to Portugal later this year. I also take knitting or crocheting on trips, even manage to get a couple or rows done! Cheers 🇨🇦

Wow! Sewing machine on holiday, that's dedication😂 Look's like your having a lovely time and that shop's a hidden gem, brilliant selection especially the buttons. I've never taken my machine although I've been tempted 😂 I can't remember who the vlogger was as it was some time ago but she cuts out and overlocks her projects before she goes away which is quite a good idea. Our favourite holiday spot is Coldingham in the Scottish Borders. We have been going each year since our boys were about 4 and 6. Now 17 and 19 they still ask to go.❤❤❤ I have not taken my sewing machine there yet but suspect this will be the year that I do as I am determined to make a quilt for the 17 year old starting uni in September. Eek!! I did take my machine to Center Parcs in Woburn a good few years ago. I had broken my coccyx a few months before and water slides weren't an option. The weather was gorgeous so I set everything up outside and it was glorious. As well as enjoying the sewing there was wonderful wildlife. A woodpecker visited each morning. Amazing!! Thank you for your videos and for this competition.

I think you probably know where my favourite holiday destination is - Fowey, Cornwall. PS The Remnant House in Bude looks amazing - a holiday definitely needs a trip to a fabric shop xxx

Hi Katherine,, congrats on reaching 2000 (well deserved) Really enjoy your channel. I'm just back from a static holiday (with pooch, hubby and 87 year old mother) to a Parkdean resort in Dorset, absolutely loved it, It really is the way to see the UK. Apparently, you can hop around the static parks off season with dogs for £120 peer week out of season, which I didn't know about, but will jump on that band wagon. We did a day in Lyme Regis which was lovely and of course went to Weymouth beach (beautiful).
I just love the South West coast which is just a hop along for us really as we are East Sussex, pretty near Hastings.

That's a caravan??? It's massive! But beautifully decorated! Love the fact that you can actually have room to sew. I LOVED the sleeping bags from grobag when my babies were small but a fitted swaddle was the thing for my youngest because I could not swaddle her for love nor money! What a brilliant trick with the pin. I'll have to try that one.
