Well, since anything that changes your DME is gonna void any warranties, my advice would be to get your chip flashed. That's the correct way to do it. Thanks for the video tho.
Yeah it is. When we did this it was early in the game and Femto was still in Russia.
Curious to see comparison race chip vs jb4.. but the install is a little much for a piggyback

I agree. Anytime you have to route through the firewall for a device that only boosts fuel rail pressure it's a no-go for me.

I recently bought a JB4 for x3m s58, will i be able to tune my g82 m4 since its the same engine or did i waste my money
The calibration is different from the X3M and the G82. You can contact BMS to see if they can reprogram or update it

Yeah the JB4 is a little more work but offers more functions. Depends on how crazy you want to get 😂
How are people running the wire for a manual transmission car…that grommet is the line for the clutch pedal I’m pretty sure.
Noob question for these different add ons. Are all those plug in modules needed because the jb4 can't crack the factory ecu? Or is it because it exceeds the parameters of the factory ecu?
So piggybacks in short fool the ECU into thinking it is not making its boost targets. That is why we plug in the bypass cables. Let’s say the target boost at 5k is 20psi… the piggyback way send back a signal of 18psi so the car knows it needs to work harder to gain those 2psi back. That is the simple way to explain it. Also these ECUs can be unlocked only by Femtoevo a company in Russia. You can JB4 on mostly any turbo car.
@@WhatsyourForte That's kinda what I figured but I was kinda basing my question vs the race chip. Are those same connections needed for the race chip to work? Or does it just change the parameters at the ecu? In the end I'm curious how this mod does it vs the race chip mod.
Just installed jb4 tune on my 2022 m3 comp, turned the car on and the check engine light came on. Didn’t download the app yet for tunning bc I had to go to work but is that common?
Sounds like something is not installed correctly. Check all of your sensors to make sure nothing is loose
@@WhatsyourForte got a hold of the company n they told me to hook up the factory plugs on 2 harnesses and that fixed it
@@northernillinoistrucksoutd462 I just did this install and had this problem. What do you mean hook up the factory plugs? All the factory plugs are bypassed with the Jb4
@@SypheR247365 the guy at burger tuning had my mechanic hook up it up without the ewg plugs. Fixed the issue right away
