Advice is spot on. When I first applied to 332 I had zero experience & my first interview I ended up with a score of 80. I requested a re-interview after 1 year. I came back with 1,000 hours of electrical experience with a C-10 contractor & I completed 2 state certified electrical classes(2nd interview score was 88.46). Not going to lie shit was a fucking grind, I would work 12 hour shift and then go to school at night but if you really want to get in you have to be willing to put in the work. I start my inside wireman orientation next week for lu 332!
i have my aptitude test this week for local 332 inside wireman, how was it.. any tips on what i should be studying.. i know its algebra but if you could explain a little more in depth i would appreciate it, and congrats on getting in man goodluck!
I don't have electrical experience; however, I am about to get my associates on electrical technology and being working for UPS for the last 4 years. I know there will be guys with experience in the field but I am willing to probe myself and to them that the kind of person who is willing to excel and get the job done. I sent out my application last week and hopefully Ill get to the aptitude test. Thank you for sharing this info with us. Congrats for getting the job!!
Just got a 70% on my interview I've also got three years work experience, but feel like I bombed the interview. Long story short, thanks for the words of encouragement.
@@heribertoleon6763 yeah for some reason 617 scores applicants super high. I would look into the tip program. The president of 617 teaches the class(or atleast he was when I attended the program)
Be confident, from your profile picture looks like you are a veteran if so thank you for your service that will give you a major advantage to get accepted into the program.
I think its more that they just want to see that you are committed to the trade bc if you have no experience how do you really know that electrical is what you really want to do? Remember there's over a 1,000 people who say they want to be in the apprenticeship but most won't reapply after 2 years or put in the work that's necessary to re-interview after 1 year.
@@RealReviews2k amazing brother.. I interviewed with 332 back in November I have zero experience and my score was 83. I started my two classes this week. And still applying to electrical companies to get that experience. COVID is a major set back with hiring right now but I am determined to land something soon. Thanks for the advice.
@@justinsanchez7310 keep at it. Remember, it takes most apprentices 2-3 years before being accepted so don't feel bad if 1 year goes by & your still not in. Alot of apprentices have been where your currently at(including myself). Good luck
@@RealReviews2k I appreciate it brother!!! That’s what I keep hearing “trust the process and be patient” what year are you on with 332? Or are You journeyman yet?

Does electrical experience matter when your are willing to learn the trade or will they look past that?
Congrats man
You're in San Jose, California correct? I'd imagine there are a ton of applicants.
Are there any opportunties in the 332's jurisdiction that can give some hands on experience in the trade?
Do you recommend one of those pay trade colleges that offer the certificate?
Just got a 70% on my interview

It's part of the process brother. Just don't give up & keep applying. It takes most of us 2 - 3 years before being accepted into 332.
Scored a 97 and didn’t get in who knows where the magic key is ?

Is 6 months enough experience lol 😆

The Chinese virus is crazy 😂 but congratulations bro
Got my interview on Wednesday. Any last second tips you got for me?

Be honest, have ambition and be confident.
Hey man, Besides the drug test before boot camp, is there another drug test when you get dispatched?
Maybe, its up to the contractor/gc. Expect to get tested everytime you get moved to a different job site.
So basically If you don’t have the experience and you want to get in the apprenticeship they’ll just ignore you lol
