    Hi Lily Lambert!
    You can definitely use beeswax in this recipe if you like. Beeswax is harder than soy and candelilla wax, so your lipsticks will have a firmer consistency. You may want to make a small test batch to check that consistency. If you want it a little softer, you can add more jojoba oil. =)

      Hello!
      Because this recipe has EcoSoya Wax and Candelilla Wax, which are both softer waxes, this recipe makes soft and silky lipstick. It will be softer than a lipstick recipe using beeswax and coconut oil.
      Also, thanks for the suggestion about doing swatches on my hand! These colors are bright and bold, if that helps you at all. =)

    • @bramble-berry
      @bramble-berry  Před 9 lety

      Jacqueline Hope Hi there!
      You can substitute chia seed oil with another lightweight moisturizing oil, like avocado or sweet almond oil. =)
      Avocado oil: www.brambleberry.com/Avocado-Oil-P3198.aspx
      Sweet almond oil: www.brambleberry.com/Sweet-Almond-Oil-P3205.aspx
      You can also substitute the wax, but keep in mind that will change the texture of the recipe. EcoSoya Wax gives the lipstick a soft, spreadable texture. You can leave it out and just use candelilla wax if you like. You may want to make a small test batch to check the final consistency!

      Hi Tania! You could definitely put this product in pots if you prefer. Although applying this with your finger could be a little messy because it has quite a bit of pigment =)

    • @bramble-berry
      @bramble-berry  Před 8 lety

      +K.T .N We didn't test that in this recipe, but I believe that would be just fine! I would recommend making a small test batch and trying some on. Depending on the vegetables used, it may be heavier or lighter feeling. With a small test batch you can add more or less depending on your personal preference. =)

    What ingredients would you add to make this a matte lipstick? I am also doing a lot of trial and error! :)

    • @bramble-berry
      @bramble-berry  Před 8 lety +1

      We've done some testing as well and haven't found a matte formula. Sorry about that! Any oils added to the recipe will have a natural sheen to them. You can add a tiny pinch of titanium dioxide if you like though! That helps make the color a bit less sheer. =)

    please answer:
    1. is this matte of glossy lipstick
    2. how long will it last
    3. can i subsitube those wax with beewax and how much should i use?

    • @bramble-berry
      @bramble-berry  Před 8 lety

      +glasses girl Hi there!
      This lipstick has a lovely glossy/satin finish. It lasts several hours on the lips, but will transfer onto a cup or if you eat food. Also, you can use beeswax. It is a harder wax, so it will make the lipstick harder overall. I would recommend dipping a cold spoon in the mixture while you're making it. That will make it harden instantly so you can check the consistency. If you want it softer, you can add more jojoba oil. =)

    can i use yellow beeswax instead of candella

    • @bramble-berry
      @bramble-berry  Před 7 lety +1

      In place of chia oil, you can use a lightweight oil like avocado or sweet almond oil.
      Avocado oil: www.brambleberry.com/Avocado-Oil-P3198.aspx
      Sweet almond oil: www.brambleberry.com/Sweet-Almond-Oil-P3205.aspx
      You can use beeswax in place of candelilla. Beeswax is more firm, so it will make the lipstick more firm. If you want it softer, you can add more jojoba oil. =)
