Stability retraining for after an ankle sprain is super important in order to regain the strength control and motor patterning following injury.
For many people, ankle sprains result in functional and structural instability of the ankle, which you need to help improve with stability training, not just strengthening and conditioning.
The BOSU is a great tool that you can use to help you with this. Here are four exercises that I would use for ankle sprain or surgery rehab once you’ve completed the basic floor exercises i.e. standing on the floor on one leg, to progress you to the plyometric and return the sport exercises that you would need to do when return to running or sport.
1️⃣ Single Leg Balance on the BOSU
2️⃣ Single leg compass on the BOSU
3️⃣ Step down on the BOSU
4️⃣ BOSU Side Step

Thank you for detailing the workout. Much appreciated!👏🏻
Thank you Tim! I'm having ankle pain when I walk, went to gym and used these exercises and re-train the brain and muscle in weight distribution when I walk. Fantastic! instant relieved after gym! Btw, you also helped me with my knees! Thanks for all your videos! xxx

Thanks Tim! Will be using these to progress my ankle patients

Hello! Nice video. I would try the first movement😊. Could you make a video for people with condromalatia in both knees 😢 . Blessings from Panama 🎉
Is that bosu brand or a cheaper one? I'm in Australia. The original is ridiculously expensive! Can you recommend any particular brand? Thank you for the video 😊
Is that good and for injury prevention ?

Put the BOSU flat side down, and do the exercises barefoot.
