Thats what ive been saying.. someone has to make a 1 piece rim & tire thats fully rubber or like longboard wheel material. Theyd have grip, but would also be durable. As well as absorbing shock & bumps far better. They also wouldnt deform like the hollow thin plastic rims he's been using imo

oh dayum! great timing, i just pulled my old wheels and tires out of the trash, i burned them down to the foams!!! grabbing these for some sideways fun, those toyo tires for the Felony were very expensive!
2:54 Lidl packing lots are the best for rc cars. They are usually huge and they have good asphalt. Make sure to go when it's not busy otherwise you will have a hard time trying to keep your rc vehicle safe.

I've run these Vipaz tyres. I've had amazing longevity, at 18 packs one wheel on the first set failed. The 2nd set has 19 or 20 and, while getting thin, are still holding up. The tyres do seem to make the drifting more fluid to me.
You know there's probably a picture of Kev's face... in the office of most tire companies... with Darts in it.😝

Funny, I dealt with Mitch from M2C Racing over10 years ago now, with rear toe blocks for my Losi Ten-T. He sent me a raw, unfinished set to test on my truggy. I'm so glad to see He's still going so strong, and making so many cool parts for so many different cars!

Thank you for reviewing the tires.. I have been following this guy for a while that developed them. To see them used like this makes it a lot easier to make my decision on buying the car again and the tires... The stock ones just don't last long enough

He put in his time on these developing showing all the videos. Different versions... I give the man credit for creating a good product for something that we all love... Now if you can make them for the little hyper go truck it'll be amazing as well... And now he's going to get requests for racing tires
hes been at it for years i know. im sure at a request be possibility for you if asked. iv just been searching through comments for past hour (goin years back) as i know i stated in a few places to speedrunners this is what they need. now kevs got some i have no doubt hes gonna get that 250mph if not more 🦾 just need a tread pattern or heat gun to generate grip.

I built a drifter from the traxxas 4tec 2.0 thing was a beast w/ 3s lipo.... but apparently, to properly run my car, you can't use parking lot asphalt. you need to either use a specific type of flooring, or just more a tar-over... bc the tar evens out the asphalt better. also avoid cracks and "burnouts". but it turns out if you want to drive the RC car on track you are out of luck, as most tracks only allow 2wd, brushed motor setups and some w/ specific tire requirements. so now I have a drifting 4tec 2.0 and no where to run it proper.

I wonder if a solid rubber tire would work on speed runs. Maybe a rubber thats been treated, so its stronger/harger on the inside. And softer on the outside. So it has grip to get going, then the strength to not be ripped off?
I just dont know how theyd get about treating circular rubber to have those properties

Kevin I just have to tell you how much I love and appreciate your channel and content. I haven't had an RC car since I was a teenager when I had my Tamiya Frog. I have been watching you for a few years now and had planned on getting back into the hobby but my life has been a landslide of disappointments and heartbreak over the last 2 years. I'm not sure when I will be able to afford to start back up with the hobby at this point. It's very possible that I may lose my home and have to file for bankruptcy. Due to physical and mental health issues, I've been unable to work for over a year now. My fiance set up another life with another man in another state and left me abruptly. Your videos bring me a great deal of pleasure, and you are an inspiration. Thank you SO much for doing what you do. It's people like you that make this world a place worth living in

Loc-tite makes CA glue applicators that work great for glueing tires either at the bead like on the X-MAXX or full surface to surface. They have a stainless needle tip in three different sized for thin, medium or thick glue. (Crazy glue, CA/cyanoacrylate etc) you can reall get the needle in between the tire and wheel.

Thats the tyres you should go for with carbon rims in your 250mph.
Use additive for more grip or make them in a softer shore.
Solid rubber with carbon or alu rims. Use Loctite 405

Hi Kelvin, I have a Xinlehong 9125 and I want to upgrade it to brushless and I want to use two motors, my question is how to connect two motor cables to one esc, can or should I use two esc?

1:20 - I had a metal superglue tube pop and spray glue all over my face when I was 12, it completely glued both of my eyes shut for 9 hours+ till the doctors could numb them and rip them apart. Safe to say I’ve never used superglue since…
Kev has cost me just over 15k this year in RC stuff. I used to be HEAVY into it, got out of it, watched my first Kevin video this year then watched every single one. Ive bought everything he loves and some he kina likes. Cant wait to see if you get the Promoto as well! I love ya Kev, my wallet hates you though! LOL

Issue is after a few mms are worn ur truck pretty much will be scrapping the ground badly. They might last a bit longer but if you think because they are hard rubber they have to go trough the whole thing before you replace think again. Around 93mm Of tire diameter its pretty much done. I would still go grp or silver hoons specially when they are on sale

Solid rubber tires for speed run cars? Softer compound and some longitutinal thread for heat dissipation. I mean like F1 tires were in beginning of 2000s.
You should use motorcycle grip glue to mount those tyres.
Originel tires are difrence size 100/42 107 /53 , those rubber ones are 4 of the same size? Does it any harm to the diff etc? Also u need 4 front rims then?
Those solid rubber tires should work well on your 250 project just cut treads in them or scuff em up ahead of time.

this reminds me of the glory days of starting to drift my HPI sprint 2 flux brushless 20 years ago... except ours were PVC plumbing pipe press fittes to the rims with footage pressure XD No smoke though but you could drift forever on a set and make 4 sets of tires for 2 $ XD

Did some research after smoking a tamiya ESC. The smoke is pink due to iodine burning off I believe from a failed capacitor.
Kev, let me 3D print you some tires for your infraction. I’m thinking it can go two ways, they may blow to pieces or maybe it will hold up. 🤷🏻♂️ it’s worth a shot if you wanna try it!

What road tires are be best for the infraction? Something grippy and more durable (if possible, haha).
It's crazy that you can get a 205/55/16 tire for just over 30 euros. Rc car tires are proportionately much more expensive.
you should try using those solid rubber tires on your speed questing cars, to fix your tires exploding.
If you can figure out a way to catch grip on those VIPZ tires, might be a good candidate for your super-long HoBao VTE2 build since there isn't a foam with a high enough shoal hardness to keep from shedding the way it seems to with the high weight of the custom build you have. I would like very much to see you hit 230-235mph with that build... I think that is the limit if you can catch grip!

I'd use an alloy of PLA and PU for the tyres to make the powder that comes off somewhat biodrgradable.

You don’t be getting grip out of these ones just get Grp 7 they are quite hard but you still get traction
