- HOW TO GROW PLANTS FROM CUTTINGS WITHOUT ANY ROOTING HORMONE AT HOME ..FAST N EASY METHOD
-IN THIS VIDEO I AM GROWING COLEUS FROM CUTTING PROPAGATION
DAIZ'S TIP:-choose a branch without a bloom or bud at the top. Cut directly below a leaf node, so the cutting is 4-6 inch long. Cut off the leaves growing from these lowest nodes, or they will rot when buried.Plant each cutting in its own, small, indoor pot. Use a rich, well-draining potting soil, and moisten it before planting. If the soil is not loose enough to push the cutting into directly, use a pencil to create a hole for it.

Right
Coleus is the easiest plant to grow , you can stick the cuttings in soil without rooting hormone
I completely agree with u.. Very well described
Finally found a video with clear explanation of where to cut it. Thank you
You are the only person I go to for my plant advice! You. Are. The. Best. THANK YOU‼️
Fantastic demo! I plan to take some coleus cuttings today. They’re outgrowing their containers. I want to prune them to improve their appearance. Extra plants to put in a border is a bonus. 😊
These are SUPER easy to propagate! I chopped my plant up and stuck it in water for a long time I changed the water every other day and planted them when they got roots. They're all thriving
Thank you so much for your help my husband just got me this plant for my birthday June 26 and I wanted to keep it for our winter and didn't know if I could I am very happy that I can thank you I appreciate it have a beautiful day God bless you always

Thanks for this - love coelus and didn't know it was so easy to propagate. I now have three beautiful plants instead of one!
I like that you actually explain stuff so beginners can understand, and even when you said root node I was questioning what it was but then you immediately explained it. Thank you!
I am wondering why you cut the larger leafs in half? after cutting the leafs that will be buried off so they don’t rot
Can you please explain why? Does it help with the growth?
I’m going to do my cutting, I hope it works, thank again
so by decreasing the leaf surface you also decrease the amount of water loss. A general rule of thumb is to remove 1/2 to 2/3 of the leaves. Cut remaining leaves in half if they are large.
Thank you Sir! The best explanation I have heard thus far. I think I can do this now.☺️
This plant can root so fast, amazing! Good job, thank you for sharing

Hello! I hope you’re doing well, I love your videos. Very informative. I live in Texas and I’m in a predicament. We had a cold front and I’m worried about my coleus. I have about three varieties and I want to protect them for winter. Is there a way to do this without bringing them inside? They’re pretty big and I live in Ana apartment and don’t know how good of an idea it is to bring it inside. Should I try to propagate from them and save for spring? What would your recommend? Thanks!!
I tried it and I success thanks for Easy and informative video

Hi, I love all your videos ans your instructions very simple and easy to follow. I see you use river/fine sand a lot and sply for flowers. What is the role of the sand? Can I sow my winter flowers seeds without sand? If not, is there any alternative? Thanks :)
Thank you, this was so useful 🥰

Thanks for such easy explanation. What is the best month to take its cutting to grow coleus in India?
Thank you! Very well explained! I have two questions
1. My Coleus always seems to have buds at the top, how can I propagate when there is always new growth at the top of the plant? The plant is still small and only one stem, should I just wait til the spring to propagate?
2. Why did you cut the larger leaves in half? How does this help the plant propagate?
Thanks so much
@Carla Colombon hi! For your second question, I think he cut the bigger leaves so that the plant could focus most of its energy on new growth and leaves :)
Here are your answers
1. Yes, please wait until it grows bigger, as smaller plants have higher risks of dying.
2. By cutting the leaves in half, the plant loses some of it's surface area which reduces water loss which in turn keeps the plant alive.
Does it affect the development of root if the cut is sharp or not?
Good evening sir. Very good explanation.Do you know how identify heirloom coleus from hybrid coleus. Thank you.
If we don't have fine soil, what is the alternate available?
I am confused about the timing of cuttings. Here in the east we are going through winter. I have cuttings in water, but being we have most of winter to go through and supposingly this is the dormant period, how can one plant the cuttings at this time? Also, leaving the cuttings in the water, create loads of long, weak looking roots.
Hi. My plant losing all leaves from bottom and shotting tall and high. It’s also become wilted if did not water it every alternative days making the leaves to curl. I plan to propagate the plant by stem cutting. Will new leaves grow from the old stems which is leggy and empty? Will this help to current plant?
hi Good Evening..very well explained in a simple manner..which I'm sure anybody will understand...thank you very much.
Thanks
