- These brothers were reunited after being apart for four years! We were lucky to be able to film this family welcoming home their son from a 2-year LDS mission, and his other brother was there to meet him who had also served for 2 years.

I agree. I think it’s sad that society has made it so that men feel they shouldn’t show their emotions. We’re all human, we all have emotions, and we all need to show them at some point no matter what others think.

I'm a guy, and can relate to this...thou i'm still somewhat afraid to show my emotions, specially to another man, i have improved a lot on this topic...there is a lot of machism in my country and that really sucks, but i always try to make a difference. There is nothing wrong in expressing your sincere affection to another human, and while it's true we don't tend to cry that often, REAL men DO cry when we need to, and there's nothing to be ashame of, in fact that means we care

Oscar Dassault yes ..it's hurt me so much when me and my twin sister go Abroad for work and leaving our parents back home .even while sitting at the plane me and my twin can't stop crying..but hey more than 4 years now we'll coming home this 2nd week of October..me and my twin will surprise them..

lost mine last August. side swiped on a mountain. my heart is broken. he was a grunt in Vietnam, then went to school and became a nurse for the reserves. worked with the mentally disabled. drove me crazy sometimes. i was privileged to have known him.

Unless you have a sibling you will never understand what it is like to love someone like a sibling. Like, of course, you love your parents but its just different from a sibling-like its hard to explain. I don't know what I would do without my sister. I don't even want to think about it or it makes me cry.
When blood brothers hug, you can feel the bond, it does not matter what country, what language, and or color is your skin... brothers' love is a true blessing... I have two brothers, and we hate each other. When I see videos like this one, tears roll down my face, with that horrible feeling inside that we just wasted over 30 years apart... Please pray for me, so someday my brothers and I can reunite and be brothers again...before is too late. God Bless this family... I am going to find an LDS Church in my town... I'm an atheist. Stating that fact because I shedding tears right now because my human decency could care less about guy returning to his family after being away 4 yrs. is a Mormon. When you haven't seen a beloved family member for an extended period of time, the heart swells with happiness. Religion or the lack there of has nothing to do with the price of tea in China. The human spirit connects us all. That family was overflowing with love. Glad to see your loved one safe and sound. My beliefs, your beliefs I don't concentrate on the differences. No disrespect to you or this channel but I always wondered how athiests make it through life without being down and depressed knowing that they don't have a belief in anything. How do you live a happy fulfilling life believing that once you die it's just the end? Believing that you just return to dust.
These kind of thinks make me cry too. I wish my I felt that kind of love from my brothers...we hardly speak because of religion and politics...so sad.

"How do you live a happy fulfilling life believing that once you die it's just the end?" Because there is probably nothing after we die, I would try to make the best of the time I do have on this earth. Might be that your religion gives you comfort from the unpleasant thought of how insignificant we actually are. But that doesn´t make it true. Children believe in Santa Claus. They have one advantage over the religious; They grow up. No disrespect to you as a person , just your relgion.

absolutely beautiful.I come from an italian family of 4 boys and 1 sister. We were never super close growing up. My sister was the only girl and my moms favorite. Then an older bro who was always in trouble,never grew up, now still lives at home with my parents of 75 and 80. My other brother stopped talking to me and my mom, the youngest lives in california and never calls. My mom had a stroke 2 years ago and is not real bad, but cant walk great . Then my dad has eye problems and he and my mom never got along so well. Lots of arguing in my youth. My sis and i are probably the closest...but i dont see her or hear from her so much. Thats lovely italian families...everyone holds grudges and stays away from eachother til someone passes away. I also have a 27 year old son that ilove to pieces. i was divorced since he was a baby. I had him religiously every week...3 days ...till he was 18. I took him to 2 trips a year since he was 5yrs old so he and i could be alone and have fun and communicate better. After 18, he called and came over less and less. Now he has a decent job and friends and never calls or visits...even on holidays. I havnt seen him in over 2 years and he lives 2 blocks away. So to see a video of brothers and family hugging and crying over missing eachother makes me cry. It sucks to not have a close family. I live by myself ...in my early 50's and cry alot. I miss the past and wish i realized how precious the younger days were while i was in them. Time goes by so fast and so much goes unsaid until its too late...human nature and a sinful stubborn heart we all have. If your even slightly close to family or kids...don't let that slip away by a stupid word or action. things can disappear fast in this world. I wish this family close bonds ,safety and love forever.
It is never too late to find such love.

God reigns over all. A beautiful homecoming and a beautiful family.
When I came home, from my tour overseas, in Chicago's o'hare, I wasn't out into the airport a hundred feet, and was hit with a book a man threw at me. The security people, came up too me, and wanted to arrest me for upsetting these people, as I was in uniform. The wonderful lady at the desk was a vet, a marine like me. She corrected everyone, and was crying when she hugged me. Marilyn has been my friend ever since.

It seems like was a Mormon missionary who served in a Spanish-speaking country because his name tag identified him as Elder Way from "La Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días" (in Spanish), which is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, informally known as the Mormon Church.
