I watch this video once in a while to make myself happy. This is one of my favorite videos on all of youtube. Right up there with your seventeen video. Hope to see some more big bait content soon.
Thanks for making more videos mike, it’s nice having some who I can “relate” to more outside of fishing, share the same deep passion for these big baits. Keep up the good work, it’s great motivation.
I get what you are saying. Really appreciate the support Tom!
Awesome day of fishing my man! Enjoying the regular uploads!
I have watched all of them please make more no pressure thank you
Awesome man!! I get so pumped watching your videos!! Thank you for everything you do for the Swimbait game!! Keep grinding man!!
Thanks for the support!
sick edit man that had to be a epic day! i agree with finish carpentry tv about the battles video. keep the good stuff coming.
Man love your content, was trying to work and save up for a setup to get me on some fish as you did, but unfortunately this virus and then ride broke down so now I’m stuck fishing threw CZcams and can watch your videos all day, good stuff man 💯💯💪💪💪🦾🦾 so hopefully in the near future when I get my ride fixed and get my boat out I can start saving for a setup and get some double digits in my boat!!!! God bless and thank you for the inspiration!!!
love the frequent posting
@ 2:00 that "long line" technique...I likey LOL freaking awesome insight brother
Still stoked to see someone from the skate industry tossing big baits. Keep up the good work man!
We trying
Totaly insane!! Dude you are amazing!
Man I thought you were gonna through your back out on that second fish when setting the hook. Good lord man lol
Glad to see you more active on CZcams now. Great stuff. I still watch that battles video all the time and honestly think it is one of the best edits I have ever seen.
Have plans to do another on similar lines. Those type of videos take up some time to plot and plan on execution. I have an idea though and will probably shoot it in the next couple of months. A mix between Seventeen and Battles.
I agree 💯 %
I'm so glad to hear someone else say this... I was starting to think I was the weird one for watching Battles as the last thing I see 3-5 nights of the week. It started as a way to avoid losing sleep because I was thinking about work.
Working Class Zero looking forward to it!
keeping it real. and catching monster bass. 🎣👍
Awesome job and great vid. I love that lake! ;)

Unceremoniously dumps in the 6.86 lber :D. Nice catches!
Keep uploading! You are a beast!
We will.
Absolutely incredible man. You're getting ready to blow up after this.
ShaNERD not sure man, channels that have just fish catches don't really take off. It's all about the narrative and personality behind the camera...
Very true
Appreciate the positivity but Bob is correct in my opinion.
The cheesball fish videos that get 200k views aren’t worth watching....this one is....the peaceful nature and love of the sport itself shows through.
Sick! That second fish though! Came and bite your Swimbait 3 times! Sick!
Yes yes yes!!! Love these vids!!!
Nice video,...my PB here in Seattle WA is 7.6 lbs,...DD's are rare in our state but they are here,...same lake I caught my PB at I seen a 15 year old kid pull a 9.2 lb off a bed. Keep on with the vids,...!!!
Sick edit

Love how that first hog weighed so much that the boat actually turned toward it when it was hooked.
Damn that was awesome!!! Biggest for me is an 8 pound 4ozer! Caught it around midnight on a hula popper. I didnt even have to see it hit. I could hear the explosion. Wish I could catch a dub digit.
Basszila those are real giants
do you fish scan the lane you cast in for those long deep water cast ? or just let it fly ?
That's totally awesome. Most anglers will never accomplish that. So far, here in central Florida, I do have four 12 lb'ers under my belt, and 13 other bass that weighed 10. Ironically, I have caught less 9 lb'ers ( 6 so far ) than 10's. I literally cannot count the large bass I've caught weighing 6 to 8 lbs. My single best day ever, was on Nov 28, 2005, in Farm 13 ( south end of Stick Marsh. ) I caught 35 bass. The 5 biggest were two 10's, a 9, and two 8's. That totals 45 lbs alone. However, among the 35 bass, 10 of them were in the 5 lb range, and all 35 bass totaled a whopping 162 lbs. All documented in pix. Caught these fish in only 5 hours. I don't know if I will ever top that, but I keep trying. Tight Lines-
Howabouthetruth oh man thats nuts. Link to pics???
Sid .Mohorovich..........Those 35 bass I have documented back then ( Nov 28, 2005 ) I was using 35 mm film, so they are hard-copy pix in my older fishing journal/photo album. However, since June of 2016, I have switched to digital pix, and have over 100 images of bass, where close to half are 6, 7, and 8 lbs, with only a couple 9 lb'ers plus my most recent 12 lb'er on digital so far. Back during that bad recession that started in 2008, I was forced to sell my nice bass boat to save our home. It sucked, because I owned the boat. I bought myself a Twin Troller X-10 boat October 2016, and what an awesome little boat. With my digital images, I can email those to anyone. I will catch more double digit bass, it's only a matter of time. Especially during our awesome pre-spawn/spawn/post spawn season that starts in Nov and lasts all the way through April. Last season started out great, all of December was awesome, caught many 7 & 8's, and one 9. But then we got slammed with back to back cold fronts that ruined the rest of our season down here. I am so Blessed to live so close to the famed Stick Marsh. It's a giant bass factory. I LOST a true giant in April of 2017 that I know was much bigger than any of my 12 lbe'rs. I got a really good look at this monster bass right when she spit my jig on the surface. I'm being conservative by estimating she weighed 15 lbs, and she very well may have been 17 lbs. Ya just can't say, until ya have that fish in your hand. I fish for trophy bass at least twice every week ( weather permitting ) year 'round down here. Sometimes 3 times a week.
Sid..........See my other response to you first. This is "a PS"......The only thing I can do with my hard-copy photo's is try to take a picture OF those pix with my phone, and then send them via text. Can't really say how well that would turn out. I NEED to start making videos.
Howabouthetruth you damn right that's awesome .. I'm down here in south florida grew up on a lake .. fished my whole life so far with out a double digit fish... alot of 6 and 7 pounders
D.Nasty Fishing.......No disrespect meant, but you're either fishing the wrong lakes, or coming up short with your methods. Because there are TONS of double digit bass in Florida to be caught. Did you read my entire comment? Also, look at all the big bass entered in the "My Florida Trophy Catch" program. That alone proves it.......and MOST anglers are NOT entering their trophy fish in that program. I certainly haven't. I don't have anything against the program, I just simply never get around to doing it. But I've got plenty of pix & digital images, and I'm still going strong.
Badass man nice fish! 🤘
Those Hinkle baits look so damn good in the water.
Quick question and maybe you've answered it already and I missed it. I believe I have the same or close to same boat as you. What's your camera mounted on in the back of the boat? I have been looking to get this type of angle and can't figure it out haha... sick vid btw and congrats on a great day
the third fish only hooked on the back treble put me on the edge of my seat 😳😦
Great fish. Great location. Let’s talk about post production...
Awesome!!!
How much for a trip?
Epic day I must say
Awesome so awesome
Damn what lake is this ?????
Funny how u say “yeah that’s a good one” I find them all good
love the large swimbait Bru. nice day there wow
Feather hook?
EPIC from IDAHO!
Love ur vidz ... just like ask what are you targeting when ur long lining like that I live on east cost so just Curious what structure you’re targeting
It varies from lake to lake. Could be just a hump or ledge or rock pile. It all depends on where you are fishing.
Thanks
Love your videos and your attention to detail. The only thing I would add is you seem like a good common sense dude so I would suggest there’s no reason to ever keep a big fish (which by the way is elderly to be that size) in a livewell. Just turn her loose right away and makes sure she lives. Also bass that size spend most of their life in their territory, their home, and turning them loose in another part of the lake can stress them majorly. Just something maybe you haven’t thought about. Love the video and love the commitment man!!
What an adrenaline rush 🎣💪👍
There is so much technique and detail in your fishing style! Would love to apply big swimbait tactics here in MN. Any suggestions on a small swimbait, maybe 1oz?
I'm in Minnesota too I use 168 s waver deps 175 and and others they work brother start with an s waver
Magdrafts work too. Also from MN
Great video mike. I have one question, now that ppl know you pull massive fish from under that dock, do you see anybody post up there with swimbaits in effort to milk off of your patterns??
Yes. Plenty enough
Anyone lmk if they'd be up to go tear up otay in a week or two I don't have a boat n would enjoy getting on the water
Was second and third catch same boat spot same cast? Or same boat spot slightly different cast angle?
Same spot, Slightly deeper cast. 3rd fish ate not far from the boat.
RIGHTEOUS
That twelve was a bad mamma jamma!!
On fish 2-3 were you working out around that tule point or some other submerged structure and were you adding length to the cast in case of a follow when you trolled into the tules or was that to be more stealthy?
There will be a video discussing why I did this very soon. Its a multitude of reasons.
Gotta say it again wow my pb is 7 pounds 11 ounces on a frog I’m definitely getting a swim bait set up
What rod and reel combo do you use along with what line? That’s incredible
I have a Rod and Reel set up video
YOU SURE THAT LURE ISNT FOR SHARKS?! HOLY SMOKES!!!
So Sick
On the second and third fish, are you letting your swimbait sink all the way to the bottom out in the middle like that?
Yes, it was sinking to around 20-25ft.
When long lining like that how much line are you letting out and how deep are you getting
Almost 3/4 of the spool. 401TE with 20lb.
which one of the dobyns champion swimbait rods is suitable for hardbaits like the slide swimmer 250 and softbaits like the 8” hudd and 7.5 battle shad
The 867
Working Class Zero Awesome, thanks!
NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE !!!!
Is this at lower otay lake ?
JB fishing lower Otay all day.
What type of rod and reel set up were you using in this video..
Dobyns 908. Shimano Calcutta 401TE
Working Class Zero cool thanks
Nice when it's so big it pull the nose of the boat lol when you hook em
Isn't that where all those trout get dumped down those boat docks to feed em?
Working Class Zero: What's your P.B?
ME: Just shy of 7lbs.
Working Class Zero: That's cool, Mine is 97lbs and some change! AWESOME VIDEO 👍
Everyone has to start somewhere. Where you fish and when you fish has a lot of play in it as well. If you aren't getting the results you're looking for, try switching things up for a bit during prime times to see if you get better results.
the hinkle is the shizzle
With all the foot controlled stuff out now, when is someone going to invent a foot controlled fish net that temporally attaches to the boat and hit the button and the net swings upward scooping the fish at the side of the boat??
That second fish was insane....she wanted it bad!!
When you gonna get back to Canyon or Saguaro?
This fall/Winter?
WAS I THE ONLY ONLY ONE STARING AT THE ROD TIP TIL MY EYES HURT?!
GREAT BAG BY ANY STANDARD!
WHERE ARE U FISHING? PART OF THE WORLD..LAKE?
I agree. The anticipation.
Look likes ima have to go to Cali to catch a double digit Bass 😂😂
Damn man! To bad it wasnt a tournament. Might have blew out the weigh in bag anyways.
Tourneys aren't my cup of tea. I might as well just go hand my money away versus competing.
😱😱😱 HOLY BEEP what a day
dude !! u neeed to get a bigger net for those monsters u nailing :D
ABD. The basket is plenty big, just the handle was a bit short. Sorted that out now
looked like u need a bigger one :P , sweet catches brother, just started on swimbait game and keeping a close eye on ur channel, soaking in the info slowly
Just curious to why you troll out, make a cast then troll back to the bank and fish from there? Do you do that on every cast when fishing deep? Great video!
Not on every cast. Just when I'm targeting specific spots and want to present my bait in a way that others may not.
Are you moving the boat over the spot you think the fish are holding? Or make a loop off the spot and cut the corner with the bait. Thanks
Glory Days...... hopefully I'll have one before I die
Im in the same boat LOL. Lost my wife, lost my bass boat and lost my health, hopefully one day i will be back out their one day!
TOADS!!
Wow
That was a better bag than the 98 percent of the pro anglers bag's
True but it was also a lake that I fished regularly. A luxury that most "Pro" anglers don't have.
Friggin hawgs!
Thats a huge bait only a lunker is gonna eat that.
Thats what we are after.
