Root tribute. Featuring some members of Team Machine as well.
I don't own anything as usual, please don't hurt me, the death of Samantha Groves hurt me enough already.
Voiceovers:

"I liked that idea. That even if we're not real, we represent a dynamic. A tiny finger tracing a line in the infinite. A shape. And then we're gone."

Root has strangely ascended to be the single greatest female character in television history. There will never be another ROOT - like Amy always said "Isn't she the best?"

I still believe that when Shaw picked up the phone and smiled, it wasn't because it was the Machine. It was Root, and they are somewhere in Spain growing delicious tomatoes, Root is raising horses, and Sameen is content to breed Belgian Malinois that tend their sheep - she occasionally allows one or two truly gifted ones to do police work. Bear is as content as can be sleeping in his dog bed watching over them slumbering in the night, twined together.
I like this ending more.

♥ Thank you so much!! ;D I feel like I'm a lot more okayish with Root's death than the general public (the fact that I've only seen horribly handled TV deaths with terrible narratives that were on a whole another level for the past year or two could possibly be blamed for that, at least in part), but that doesn't change the fact that there probably won't be another character like Root for a long time. She will be missed. :(
