The safety car proving to not be all that safe. It happens, and it's always good for a giggle. They've still got a ways to go to beat the WTCC safety car driver in France who came out of the pits and took the leader of the race out though...
There was another Safety Car incident where The Safety car went out, missed the leader, then stopped. A Mimi and a Lamborghini tried to stop, the Mni slammed into the Safety Car and the Lambo, flipping. Then several more cars crashed.
VLOGeneric's Rants Yes, there was. I think that was in the Dutch Supercar Challenge at Spa Francorchamps and triggered the infamous "danger car" remark from the commentator. It was pretty monumental, I know the Lambo and safety car both went to the junk yard and I imagine the Mini did as it made massive contact with the Lambo...

V8s might get more things right than Formula 1 does, but the Safety Car clearly isn't one of them.

@@mapper7310 they used to race at Abu Dhabi. I think it was 3 races over 3 years. The one in 2012 was actually at the same time as the F1 cars

Andrew Jones was ordered by his team, Brad Jones Racing (BOC), to slow near the start/finish line while under the Safety Car. Jones did so by slowing from 108mph down to 22mph in ~90 yards.
Scott Dixon obviously doesn't know this is going to happen and rams the back of Jones' car. Thus the Todd Kelly/Scott Dixon and Jason Richards/Andrew Jones entries were out of the race.
In the end, Dixon never drove again as an International driver. For the 2011 Surfers Paradise Street Circuit races, Kelly paired with Richard Westbrook. Andrew Jones did not race at Surfers Paradise in 2011. Neither did Jason Richards as he was attempting to recover from a cancer diagnosis weeks after the 2010 race, but passed away between the 2011 and 2012 season.
BOC received a 100 point penalty for the Team Championship. Team owner Kim Jones blasted the stewards report claiming that the yellow flag rule meant that cars should "slow down because the track may be partially block." They stayed in 8th overall and put them only 46 points ahead of Paul Morris Motorsports in 9th. BOC's remaining races featured 3 retirements and they were only able to gain more points than Paul Morris Motorsports on the infamous* first race of the 2010 Sydney 500. Consequently, BOC finished 9th and down 248 points to 8th.

Yes, but here you have much more mass to stop. My point was there is a difference between breaking hard and breaking effectively. If you push the pedal so hard that the abs has no chance of unlocking your wheels you're just going to slide with no control.This happens in f1 from time to time where you can see a locked wheel or two and they overshoot the turn because you can't control the car when wheels lock up, but their cars have much less mass to stop and I believe greater tire area therefore they can stop much faster.
Neither F1 or V8 supercars use ABS bro, it is not allowed in the series.

The swerving left and right when they are going relatively slow? It's to maintain the heat in the tires during safety car or bring them up to heat if they are fresh.

Everytime I've ever been on a race track I feel alone as a person. You cannot drive wanting others to do what you are thinking. It is not a high strung feeling either to pick your ideas in a moment and maybe call it luck if you made it and want to reflect. Just go. Over 30 high speed pursuits with no captures just by doing the opposite of having a "pissing contest". Emotional drivers are killers.

Why not like F1? get out and let everyone slow down, only the cars that are lapped can pass and eventually the race leader ends up behind you.
