To the people saying he's upselling...Quality work isn't free. He's being complete in listing all of the things that could be affected by SIX CRASHES on a motorcycle. For $400 I'd definitely let that man straighten and weld it back up. I wouldn't trust a guy like me with a welder in his garage, but they look like a real professional outfit and should be able to make it just as strong as it was from the factory.

All those prices are more than reasonable. Considering it's not just his shop but what, 20-30 years of experience you're getting. At first I wondered why he wasn't going to have the bike stripped to the frame before putting it in the jig but then realised this engine on the S1K appears to be a stressed member of bike so yeah, makes sense.

What year is that cbr1000rr? I just tuned a customer's 2013.. akrapovic exhaust full system titanium headers. Pc5 fuel module/ ignition module/autotuner. . He made 193 rwhp on Dyno ..I can send you a couple maps for that bike.

An idiot can remove parts from a motorcycle, but it takes a Mechanic to put it back together correctly!!! The guy that removes the parts is the same guy that needs to re-assemble the parts!!!! Only way to know how it goes back together!! This guy saw you coming!!!
Alloy or aluminum made frame should be replaced ones its cracked man if its a steel frame then you can just weld it together no problem.
I wouldn't let anyone weld a frame that badly cracked up. Just bin it and get a new frame. đ
If it's a good weld it will be stronger then before. But it needs to be done right.

Agree. These japanese aluminum alloy frames are welded in a oven by robots. It will never be as strong again. If it was a stunt bike you can get a nice steel frame...
@@Styles5311 There is no way it will be stronger. Welds are weak points. You have no idea what you're talking about. These frames are welded in a oven, it is aluminum alloy, it needs to be heated to a specific temperature before it is welded, which is achieved with robots.

Bill Bill not everyone that could work on their bikes could do that. They are specialized for a reason cause not just anyone could pick up a welder and start going at it.

It's not that hard to take all of that apart. When you take it apart, you'll know how to put it back together. Imagine getting your bike back in pieces, you won't know what goes where. You'll eventually figure it out but it'll take hell of a while longer.

Yo Max, 2 wheel Jesus might be your boy and all but seriously when he said, "I say you just weld it." That is the most bone-headed statement! Your twin spar frame is split in two, The motor mount bolt is out and the alignment of the frame is way off. You have to take everything off so the frame can be measured. Just like that frame guy said, even though he does not explain it well. He is right! If indeed the frame head is not twisted then you can measure from that point. Not just split down the middle for width, but also measure for correct heighth. ie; top to bottom , right to left and vice versa. This is a serious frame brake. You should have gotten it welded when it was just a crack. Now? I would opt for a new frame. That bike will never be right unless you strip everything off and have it laser measured .
