What is the difference between Grescilli Syndrome Type 2 & the mentioned Syndrome i.e Chediak-Higashi Syndrome ?

I don't think you'd be able to tell, clinically. They're very similar. You would need genetic testing. Boards will not ask about Griscelli syndrome, since only a dozen or so cases have ever been diagnosed in the U.S., vs. a few hundred for Chédiak-Higashi. So if you have a picture of patchy albinism and immunodeficiency (± bleeding, CNS issues), pick Chédiak-Higashi.

What tests need to be done for confirming chs. My brother has frequent infections and gene testing showing single heterozygous variant and of uncertain significance . How can we go further in testing . The doctors in india don’t know anything much about this .
