Reminds of a old talk show Jenny Jones. I saw a episode about secret crushes where a dude brought his neighbor another man on the show and this was late 80s early 90s so dude was not happy and afterwards killed the neighbor who was crushing on him. Years later on a talk show documentary this episode was brought up and claimed it was never aired which was a all out lie. The point i make is they will lie to you with a straight face
I saw that episode. You could see the hurt in that guy's eyes, that unalived that fellow.

We the people are going to learn how to be documentarians (probably not a real word, but appropriate for my statement) and promoters of our own experiences. We can't entrust our history to official media outlets. I'd say we'd best find and nurture our own creativity to document our lives and share them directly with others by our own means-- books, websites, blogs, vlogs, etc. Learn how to properly conduct research of primary sources, archive your works and become publishers and gatekeepers of our own heritage. Don't let anyone else tell your stories.

Amen to that. I am reading The Underground RR by William Still. He was a clerk in the abolitionist movement. His book included formerly enslaved people's testimonies and that of abolitionists and slaveowners. When you see their experiences in their own words, not to mention some of the most illiterate writing by slaveowners, it hits hard. They do not teach these facts in school and do their damnedest to portray white women slaveowners as innocent while a great many were beating the eye sockets out of enslaved peoples' heads and abusing their own children. Get the physical books while you can.
@@Angela10277088 Most history I know now, I learned as an adult. I'm almost embarrassed to mention that I knew nothing about Tulsa, Rosewood, Black Codes and such until I gained the wherewithal to do the research myself. What inspired my statement above is because now I've been low-key interviewing my mother about what she remembers as a child and she's told me things about my grandparents that I never knew. I'd never thought to ask my grandparents about such things when they were still alive and I'm not sure they would have willingly spoken about if it if I had.
@@hendrsb33 They really don't want people to know or remember. That is so wonderful you are learning about your grand! I am so glad you are interviewing your mom. A lot of elders didn't want to dwell on the past. I get it.

Books will be required to be written in cursive since it isn’t being taught in many Public Schools. Only selected demographics will be able to read them. Part of the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2026. 🙄
