Our teachers are more concerned with indoctrinating our children, they graduate ignorant and fragile, racist and sexist. We haven't seen all the down-stream effects of this sabotage, but look at military and police recruitment numbers for a leading indicator of where we're headed.

I live in Mississippi. My family and I have been here since 2014. Just Friday, April 5 of this year an old man with a MAGA hat looked at my wife with disgust and said the MAGA phrase. A cashier openly agreed with him as he left. Both my kids witnessed this. They were at the store to buy a dress for my oldest kids high school graduation.
My wife is a retired Navy Chief, we’re both veterans. All he saw when he looked at my wife was a Hispanic and assumed she was an illegal immigrant. I was at work so that was the only way this cowardly old man was able to say that and not get checked. As far as the store, I’ll be speaking with the manager and corporate after that. If they don’t respond rightly and justly, I will make sure everyone is made aware of their support of bigotry and hatred.
Update:
I talked with the manager who seemed (we’ll see) to share my anger and disappointment in professionalism. I also advised we are both veterans (that got her attention), gave her the information on the receipt and let her know how the woman looked and her cashier number. I gave her my phone number and told her I would like to update on the disciplinary measures taken.
I hope your wife didn't purchase anything from that store.

Canada has a horrendous history of racism against its First Nations peoples (and Chinese people who were used to build the railway, and others). America has a horrendous history of racism against its First Nations peoples, and the Black people who were brought here as slaves (and Japanese people who were interred during WW2, and others). I understand and am not threatened by any attempts to right these historical wrongs, and to teach the truth about both the great and not-so-great aspects of our histories.
