- At Capitol Reef National Park, Utah I hiked a very popular trail up into Cohab Canyon. Missed doing this in 2021, so it was on my bucket list in 2024. The trailhead is adjacent to Fruita Campground, Gifford House and the historic barn. Outstanding hike with many additional places to explore along the trail. Loved this!

Thank you! In 2021 I visited Capitol Reef, but did not get the opportunity to hike this trail. So it was a priority this year. What an interesting, inspiring hike it was!

Thank you. The closest camping is the Fruita Campground right in Capitol Reef National Park; very scenic camping with fruit orchards and homemade pie available at The Gifford House. There is also nearby camping and lodging west of the park on the Scenic Byway route 24 to Torrey, Utah. I've filmed several other hikes on trails right out of Fruita Campground. Here are the links:
