This is part 14 in the build series.
There's lots going on and sometimes I step out of order when I run into a problem on one area of this Yamaha Blaster transformation and need to pivot to other areas to keep moving the project forward. This is real building and not a curated view of assembly. My hope is that my slowing down, showing and overcoming challenges along the way will encourage others to take on bigger and better builds and #savesportsquads
In this video:
- XFR Nerfs bars present a challenge on my Gen1 frame with my CTI aftermarket rear hydro kit.
- Stator side gets built with timing adjusted including the high output 75 watt coil.
- I lap the lightened flywheel to ensure it mates well with the crank.
- I Replace my OEM clutch basket with a lightened Wiseco from DirtFanatics.com including removing the gears and reinstalling on the new basket.
- I install my first HPM PowerSports Case saver while talking about why you need this cheap insurance.
What's going on in this Blaster 200cc Motor:
+3mm Vitos Stroker Crank
Wossner piston
Ported OEM cylinder on second bore. Ported for Trail Riding by Swope Racing
Rechambered head to match the port and polish also by Swope Racing
Vapor Blasting by Nick's Vapor Blasting
Lightened Counter Balancer (2oz lighter)
Lightened Flywheel (8oz lighter. Most I've found are 6oz. I'm pushing it a bit with this one.)
Keihin PWK Air Stryker 35mm Carb (Not a knock off)
Custom Air Intake from HPM PowerSports
ProDesign Carb Intake Manifold 34-35mm
Stainless bolt kit from HPM PowerSports
Advanceable Stator Plate from Ricky Stator
Stator has been floated to create a DC electrical system for future lighting.
High output lighting coil from Ricky Stator (OEM is 55watt. This is 75Watt)
Cases repaired and welded
Koyo Bearings
Tusk Seals
Shift Star Mod done by me
Wiseco Clutch Basket
Cleaned up and rewrapped harness with Tors, oil injection, key wiring removed

Great video! Really enjoyed it. All the guys at hpm, swope racing, cti, and dirt fanatics are great guys and keep the blaster community going!! Cant wait to hear your reaction to dillons portwork lol 😂
Thanks DJ, those Gents have helped out a ton. I’m looking forward to bolting on the Swope Racing top end as well. It’s beautiful workmanship.
Nice man love the videos they help me out a lot keep it up thanks 👍
Thanks for the shout out. I appreciate it. Glad they are helping.
@@VermontLifeyour welcome great awesome build by the way can’t wait to see her all done and buttoned up
color is that frame?????? looks good
It’s a neon yellow from prismatic colors. It really pops in real life too. I was on the fence as I didn’t want a color that was going to look like the Batmobile and this one didn’t disappoint.
54 foot lbs on flywheel
Awesome! Thanks.
