What the writer says about the villains in this IP around the minute 13:46 is very true: Saint Seiya has the best villains written for any entertainment product. During the original anime while they are fighting against Virgo Shaka and Ikki questions him why being the closer saint to God he obeys Arles (Saga) Shaka responds with an epic monologue about how there is no perfect justice and neither perfect form of evil, they way he sees it justice can originate from cruelty and after all Arles is justice. There are no black and white, all the characters in this anime fight for very convincing motives. Probably this movie won't be able to reflect how deep this anime is, but I still trust it'll be a great movie

Saint Seiya is one of those series that defines an era of your life. I was not into yet anime yet when I got so obsessed with this show and I was still so young. If they screw this up, it might send me into depression.

I really hope. I have the feeling this movie will kinda remake the Netflix animated series in CGI. If it’s the case, I just hope Seiya will have a better treatment on screen and a better personality. I also noticed , that a cinema release hasn’t been mentioned anywhere on the posters or announcements on their social media. I can see it being streaming release. Let’s see and I hope I’m wrong.

I'm very excited for this movie 👍 I hope Knights Of The Zodiac movie which is coming in 2023 will also be as great as the movie of Iron Man and just like Iron Man started the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which gave us a lot of amazing Marvel's superheroes' Live Action movies and Live Action series to watch, in the same way, Knights Of The Zodiac Live Action movie will also turn out to be so great and they will create Saint Seiya Cinematic Universe. Then we get to see more amazing Live Action movies and Live Action series of Saint Seiya in future. Let's hope this Live Action movie of Knights Of The Zodiac becomes successful all over the world. Now all of us fans can pray to God that this really happens as this Live Action movie is going to decide the fate of Saint Seiya franchise.

The Saint Seiya lore is so extensive that they could do 2o movies and still won't have enough time to tell us all the mythology of this universe. Hope the first movie is great and they have success so we can see more of this franchise on the big screen

I think they should do is to try to adapt the galactic tournament arc. This arc is simply awesome full of action, epic and sad moments. It's only 7 episodes that could have fit in one movie.
Well, considering that Mitsumasa Kido plays a role in this (Sean Bean) we can guess that this will be early on in the series. Which I hope for. I don't want to see them try to cram the sanctuary arc into one movie. This is where legend of sanctuary went wrong.

The movie must be great to be worthy of that OST... if the movie turns out to be mediocre then I'd rather not have masterpieces like Sad Brothers in a movie that is not good enough. My dream would be to have that music in a fantastic movie, that would be my dream
@@robertovolpetti1077 Well, is a catch 22. A great musical score is often what elevates a movie from good to "fantastic". So not including the music from the beginning could be its demise. I wanted included even if the movie fails to deliver simply because if this movie doesn't generate interest, future Saint Seiya live action possibilities are forever forever dead.
Saint Seiya is impossible to translate into a live action movie, so the best thing they can do is to make a high quality action movie like "Avengers", a simple version of the story with the most recognizable elements of the Saint Seiya lore but easy to watch, and capture the attention of the American audience. Then if they like the characters and basic concepts of the IP they can watch the original anime and discover how deep and complex the original work is. If they try to emulate the complexity of the original anime then they are doomed, that's impossible to do. It's a shame this is one of the greatest animes of all time, yet is is basically unknown in the United States
That's not true. SS's heart lives in the hardship all the characters have to endure, they fight against destiny with all the odds against them. That's why it's said saints make miracles.

If they don't keep the musical score from the anime it will be their biggest mistake. If they keep talking about "the heart of Saint Seiya" then they better understand that the music is 90% of that.
It's budget-saving since the music is already made, already loved and TOEI animation already holds the copyright. Not to mention it's a high quality orchestral score not some cheap sounding cartoon bgm.

Seiji Yokoyama was a genius way ahead his time, the original OST of Saint Seiya could easily win an Oscar. But it is a dangerous move to use that soundtrack: if the movie is not good enough then that epic music will be too much for a mediocre movie, it needs to be a great movie to be worthy of that magnificent OST

I doubt this film will be bad. If the creator and actors read the manga and watched the anime, like they say they did, then they are obviously trying to make something worthy of the original fans. I'm sure the film with be great. But I'm also sure the film won't please everyone and there will ALWAYS be a complaining hipster who is stuck in the past unable to accept anything new in the franchise without acting like it's trash.
