Happy to be adding more fillers to the OCC Processing Center for boys 10-14 yrs. Also excited to have heard from one of the recipients of my shoebox.

What fun filler packs! Also enjoyed your recipient story. I'm glad that Jeremy enjoyed his school supplies, even if he received a 5-9 box. ✏️❤️ I'm definitely trying to add as many as I can to the number of 10-14 boy boxes sent. 🙂

Very awesome fillers, I love space🪐 those stories put you in prespective, most kids in better places won't be dreaming about going to school (quite the oppisite), but those kids do

I can't, this may be my favorite fillers! So creative and fun! Love the idea of space journal fillers, and the creativity these boys as the boys journal and decorate their journals. And so awesome that most items you got are very affordable, from Dollar Tree, Amazon in bulk. My favorite is the gorgeous washi tape! Great idea of adding trivia cards. I never saw them at Dollar Tree! I will have to check those out. Beautiful stickers! You even added a pair of quality scissors and a full pack of colored pencils. The journals, paper, and tags are perfect. Great idea of giving a sample of how to decorate in journal. You really thought of everything. Just wow! These are very generous journal kits that I know the processing center will be grateful to have and include in shoeboxes that need the extra love. Thanks for the shout out! I don't also put my name in fillers. So wonderful to hear that you heard from a receipient! And how grateful he was. It's good to know he shared his shoebox with his sister. And the school supplies you gave was much needed for him to go to school because I know affording school supplies for lots of families can be a huge burden. Thansk for sharing, Diana! The Notebooks I bought in bulk were .71 cents each but that is Canadian currency. The washi tape was .50 cents each but I figured that was a decent deal as I only saw dollar tree selling them with one. So cheaper for me on Amazon. And that washi tape is more stunning in person!
Oh I hope you can find the trivia cards...I need to find more as well. They were in the school section at the bottom of the display.

These are wonderful and will be greatly appreciated at the PC! I love those small journals. They are perfect in size! The washy tape is gorgeous! I love this idea for journal filler kits and the items you included are awesome! What a perfect way to spark the child’s creativity! Besides my passion for packing OCC shoeboxes I also have a passion for paper crafting, card making, and scrapbooking, so I just love how you have made up these kits ❤️💚❤️

Diana, these packs turned out beautifully. I’ve seen the paper pack assortments at Dollar Tree before, but it never occurred to me how to use them for OCC. You’re right it adds uniqueness and a lot of interest to the journal kits, as does the fun washi tape. I love the space/ocean assortment you found at Amazon. I love the Brain Buster cards from DT. The pictures are great. Loved hearing about Jeremy. Thanks so much for sharing ❤

I just love this!! I’ve done something similar as a wow in a girl 10-14 box, but didn’t think to do mini versions as filler. How fun! My only thought was MAYBE add a pencil and/or pen? You want to write in your journal of course, but also, this could be the only school supply like items in the box. Worst case he already has a notebook, glue, scissors, and a sharpener!

I didn't make these as school supply fillers although, many of these items can be used for school. He will be able to write with the 10 colored pencils in his pouch.
However, my girl journal Kits coming up, have pens💗 and they are one of the main focuses of the kit!

Hi Diana, I have enjoyed watching your videos this year. I am loving your creative ideas for pencil packs, especially these journals for older boys. I have purchased various types of craft paper with different types of textures, sparkles and/or adhesive backings (e.g., to make stickers), but that is as far as I have got. And I am now disappointed that I sent most of stash of plain craft notebooks last year. Ahh well, you live and learn. Thank-you for the inspiration. I look forward to seeing more of your filler pack ideas. TFS!

Hi Julie. Great question!
I do not put my name or contact info in fillers I make for the Processing Center. That way I am certain to not interfere with the integrity of someone else's shoebox they packed, as it may already have a letter and name with contact info in it.
But my own shoeboxes that I make I definitely put a letter with my name and contact info.
The response from Jeremy was from a shoebox I packed for him and not a filler.
I hope I answered this clearly.🙂
