- Two-time Super Bowl winning Giants running back Brandon Jacobs joins Ep. 108 of the Talkin' Ball with Pat Leonard podcast @Bleav to drop knowledge on the Giants, how NFL teams can develop toughness, what Tom Coughlin's practices were like, why he'd be 'broke' if he played in the NFL today, and what he thinks of Malik Nabers, Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley's signing with the Eagles. Jacobs is promoting the Dexter Lawrence Celebrity Softball Game at Clover Stadium in Pomona, N.Y., on Saturday, May 18. Parking lot opens at noon. Gates open at 2:30 p.m. Then there will be a 3 p.m. autograph session, a 5 p.m. dodgeball game, a 6 p.m. home run derby and a 7 p.m. softball game. License Plate Guy, Joe Ruback, again has organized the event that was a smash hit when Landon Collins led the charge in 2019. Brandon Jacobs, one of my all-time favorite giants. What a legend and one of the main reasons the giants won in 07 & 11
Giants need a rb like him again to reestablish the power running game

Thank you, Salient! Brandon was great
Jacobs the beast
27. A beast nobody in nfc east enjoyed seeing. You know when the giants were a problem. When we had identity.
All I used to say to my Eagles buddy was 6'4 264. He would laugh cuz he knew what was coming.
Ha. Loved Brandon's answer on this. Basically, even the biggest baddest dudes in the NFL were not excited about tackling him lol
Brandon Jacobs was a way better Running back than #26. 6 years of Jacobs we got 2 rings from bro and he always got the yards when we needed it, and if it wasnt no hole to run thru, he made one. WAY BETTER RUNNING BACK
@@stevensko9153 💯, speak the truth brother. I remember those bruising 70 yard goal line runs, too. It's amazing how the game has changed, now they consider goal line runs to be within 5 yards of the end zone. There no way a short yardage back can get 1000 yards in today's game, and to think the Giants Even used their shirt yardage back to start games??? Crazy, I know, those were the days.
He's one of my all time favorites, but he's not better than Saquon, no way, no how, if for no other reason, Saquon was a pass catcher. Remember, Jacobs had a much better o-line until his later years. In his later years, fans accused him of "dancing" behind line. I love how Brandon appreciates Saquon, because he heard some of the same criticism.
@@nard1000not better than saquan but he produced better moments than saquan and is a 2x champion. Champion mindset, something SB doesn’t have. In 5 years I won’t remember one play that saquan made bc they all led to losses, so him being better talent wise doesn’t really mean anything bc overall Jacobs has a better resume. Saquan wont even be in the ring of honor ever.
Saquon obviously a more talented player, but I take your point that if it's 3rd and 3 and you need 4 yards, you trust Jacobs to get them. Also just was a key part of a team that set a physical, imposing tone that Giants fan respect and, frankly, miss
Can barely hear him and he’s at a Starbucks all I can hear is the price gun scanning lol
Yeah I’m on my phone and I can’t hear a word he’s saying and I have it on full blast
He's at the gym, about to walk in for a workout. We work with what we've got! I loved his remarks, though.
🙂💯❤💯🙂----WORDS WILL NEVER, Guys!....
