WHERE IS NEPHI FROM?
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City in the Philippines but I have been moving and living in different countries due to the nature of my work. I’ve lived in countries like Singapore, Japan and the US due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel but I am currently in Indonesia thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
MUSICAL BACKGROUND
Former band vocalist of Akita performing at K-Pub in Ayala Cebu, Philippines (2019-2020)
Former band vocalist of Big Three Band performing in Yokohama 7, Yokohama, Japan (2014-2016).
Former member of the Filipino Voice Symphony (2010-2011) where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our singing group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
Former university choir and singing trainer at Technological University of the Philippines Visayas.
WHAT IS THE GREATER GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.
Yoo Youngjin is D.O's vocal teacher. And D.O is is favourite student. Probably because they have the same style.

yoo youngjin is D.O.'s vocal coach also he is one of SM producer. he really chose which one could be his student, i mean until now he's only has 3 students, That's TVXQ's Changmin, EXO's D.O. and Aespa's Winter.
This gentleman was DO's first vocal coach at SM entertainment. D.O. used to call him his mentor. He's highly respected in the music world. He was a soloist when he was younger and known to be a great r&B singer. He actually wrote a lot of EXO's earlier hits. He actually has written quite a few hits for most of the SM artists. He is SM's musical director/producer. He's often sang the intros to SM groups' songs, especially Super Junior i.e. "Sorry, Sorry Answer" and "Mr. Simple." So technically DO sounds like him rather than the other way around. Lol
But still do's voice is gold. His pronounciation is the best

@@resurgingflame I know he has. Trust me, I'm not underestimating him. I've tried numerous times to inform new/younger K-pop fans of his contributions and importance to K-pop as a whole. So many have no clue that almost the least important thing about him (but which fans repeat Over and OVER) is that he taught Kyung Soo early on his career. I love SUJU and they have great vocals but most of their fans have no clue who sang the intros of some of their hits. LOL 🤣
@@TheHockeywitch New/Baby ELFs may not know it. But Granny ELFs like me know for sure that Yoo Young Jin is the one who sings the intro in both songs😊...

I’m late but Young Jin is D.O. vocal coach and an SM song writer and producer. He wrote this song and invited D.O. to sing with him. After listening to him I was glad they made D.O. train under him because gosh he’s amazing. I hope that we get to hear this type of music in D.O.’s solo because he really can flex his vocals and display his agility. I love this song so much. D.O. has the type of voice that can heal the heart and emotions. Thank you Sir Nephi for taking me along with you, screaming for my ultimate bias.

Yoo young jin is Kyungsoo's vocal coach. he was one of the longest in SM. if I'm not mistaken he is the only person who survived in SM since the founding of SM with Lee Sooman the founder. If I'm not mistaken, he trained only 4 singers from SM, including kyungsoo

Just a small reminder that there were some wrong parts in the lyrics video like in your video 4:27-4:33 was actually Kyungsoo singing and 5:46-5:50 was Kyungsoo singing as well.
