I'm really enjoying your recaps of the episodes. I was too busy with life to watch when it first aired.
Glad you like them. I'm trying to keep improving as I go. It's been fun re-watching and thinking about how different things were 30 years ago.

Picked it up from a lot of places, most things I've noticed or checked in on myself. The old Official Guide to the X-Files has a few things listed and interviews with writers or the original Usenet forums has some things too.
5:02 Ha! I paused to get some food and before I heard the end of the sentence, I was also thinking it was very muchso a Twin Peaks vibe!
I didn't watch Twin Peaks until much later as an adult, but I can only imagine how delightful it would have been to watch both Twin Peaks and X-Files while they were on the air. Seems like it would have made for great water-cooler talk (or whatever the equialent of that is for kids-teens-young-adults).
I'll be honest, I watched Twin Peak in its original airing but teenage me kept getting lost.
I like the Mythology episodes the best
I think the best Myth Arc episodes are the best stories in the entire series.
