    Hey uncle Dave. Great video. If you hold the shift button you get 2 more eq bands making for a total of 6. Not sure if that’s only for the Core Modern. Also the eq’s can as you said be used to A/B, but also simultaneously giving the ability to make cuts with the modern and add flavor with the other. Same is true for the compressors. Both can be used together.

    I think that is more than just an A/B switch. I think you are able to use those two EQ's and two compressors in serial - at the same time.

      I will have to check that out, thank for the tip

      Correct. You can load and use 2 of each section at a time and put them in whatever order works for your signal flow.

    Love the ability to create your own console on here. Utilize ssl style eq and modern eq so you can use one clean to fix another to add character. Great Video Uncle dave!!! I wish protools worked a little smoothly with it I'm getting lagging during some usage especially on loop

    Thank you, nice overview of a fantastic device. You missed some shift functions though, that allow control of 6 sends in total, and give us two extra bands of eq. Also: you can compare different versions of a track with shift a to d. But maybe you wanted to explain the shift functions in another video. Keep them coming!

    I would love if they allowed us to flip from their own to the plugin interface with a button (uad)

      @@HomeRecordingMadeEasyI talked to Softube, they are working on it. A midi module to load up seperately! Yay!

    It appears hardware wise it is an upgrade from the previous, but they really need to work on their software interface. Softube should look more like Luna or SSL 360 to give you the feel of working on a console as I guess is the intended purpose.

      I would agree. I think the look of the software is the weakest point of this system

      @@HomeRecordingMadeEasy by the way I got the UF8 two days ago Uncle Dave and it's everything you said it was and more. Now I have the UC1, UF1 and UF8 as my setup. Many thanks for your videos covering this topic and I try to make it point to not be toxic in the comments section because I know what sort of drag that is. Keep up the good work.

    Hello Dave, if you had to choose between the SSL UF1 and Console 1 Mk 3, which one would be better for you?

    So, does it mean the mute and solo buttons don’t work in Logic because it uses AU instead of VST3?

    • @HomeRecordingMadeEasy
      @HomeRecordingMadeEasy  Před 8 měsíci

      It should work with Logic as well with the AU plugin. I know they are working with Apple to make that happen

    • @ToddUrban
      @ToddUrban Před 8 měsíci +1

      Logic is a little different. You actually get control of the DAW functions without even needing to use the plug-in. There is also no controller setup. The unit is automatically recognized and connects. This is functionality that Softube worked on with Apple.

      They work just fine in logic
