Dear Tenth Avenue North, I highly doubt you will read this but, I just wanted to thank you for all your beautiful music, and especially your video journals. There was a time in my life, about 2 years ago, that I used to think God wasn't there, or wasn't watching me when I was sinning. I mean sometimes I knew He was there, but I just didn't care, and continued to sin. I'v been hurt alot, and bullied, for as long as I could remember. And because of that, I tried to cure my pain by doing such aweful things, like hurting other people, and so much more. But when I found your video journals, I began to watch them, and see a light, even cry in a lot of them, cuz I began to realize that God loves me, no matter what I'v done. I soon began to get closer to the Lord, and one day, the door to my heart was opened, and I surrendered to my Savior. Everyday I thank God, for using you guys, to touch my life. Thank so much!
One of my favorite things about TAN is that they sound the same live as they do in their cds. Unlike many artists today. They are truly talented and don't need to autotune anything.
This has been a favorite of mine since I first it.... and now this acoustic version... Even better!! Thanks for sharing this with us! Stars has always been a fascination to me. And when I got saved they took on a deeper meaning. I love standing outside at night, looking up at the sky, and seeing the multitude of stars. It leaves me in awe. Knowing that the God who created every single star up in the sky, who's holding them up, is the same God who created me and is who is holding me up. Brings me to tears a lot of the time just thinking about that. It makes every heartbreak, every tear, every bump in the road seem worth it somehow. To know that He saved me... He, the creator of all things good... HE saved me. He could have just as easily let me go and be the demise of my own creation... But HE saved me. He literally took the wheel. Makes me know that all the bad was worth it somehow. Well that took a turn.. haha But that's what happens sometimes when I see the stars. It's like feeling a warm hug from Him. So again, thank you for this song!! It's a great reminder! Just like why I have a star tattooed on my wrist. (which is funny that it's on my left one.. the one I hurt in a wreck that left it about 50% of what it used to be...)
