I woke up this morning not in a good mental place. I could hear a little of this song singing in my heart. I know Jesus and some days I'm ashamed to say that I struggle so much but even if the song is a little faded in my heart from the past, his love for us in and through this music never will. Zephania 3:17 says He sings over us with songs of Joy. I truly believe he did this morning. I pray you hear him singing over you too.

The song I woke up to on my hot pink iPod that morning in the ICU. I was only alive by the Grace of God, I was so broken, and so afraid. It was the words I heard in this song that gave me hope, that ignited a spark inside me, I realized I wasn’t alone, and I didn’t want to die. Here I am 12 years later in recovery from anorexia, self harm, and a survivor of an overdose that all the docs said should’ve killed me. I’m the mom to a miraculous 9 year old and despite the GI failure I battle and the autism that my son struggles against we are so blessed.
I think I remember reading your testimony on another tenth Avenue north video. I'm glad to hear you are still fighting, please never give up. You are not invisible. You are loved.

This was the first song I heard that drew me to Jesus Christ. I still remember I was showering and I had Pandora playing on my phone and this song stumbled in to my life. I loved it so much I got out of the shower to remember who was playing and the rest is history

Currently going through the hardest emotional pain I have ever gone through and sincerely it could get worse. But I am comforted that He is by my side and He will never leave me or forsake me. I need to tell you something. When I was in a mental health unit. I tried to harm myself. It would take to long to explain the depth of pain I couldn't deal with things anymore. A woman who was my roommate introduced me to you, she said she gave me this song and listen to it. It helped me in my darkest days. I still cry when I play this and I think about her and hope she is alright. Thankyou

10 years and still listening to this song
The performance is amazing. I really loved it! I cried through the whole thing. the lyrics are WOW! I drank it all in despite in the first half whoever did the camera work for shooting the video should have known how distracting the light was behind Mike the lead singer, and so the lighting also obscured his beautiful face too. You want to see him sing. without interruption to the visual field being marred with the light at the back of him. Midway it pans out and reorients the direction of the light thankfully. The soothing of his voice is lovely and peaceful calming on the nerves. Christ swallowing the grave to give us Life and wants to give us life is the tear-jerker that brings it all into the heart and makes it explode in gratitude to the Master.
Overall: The song is beautiful. I see some differences in the lead singer and the beautiful Asian man ( I do not know his name) from the very first video of them in their youth compared with this one as mature men. Obviously, the looks are different, but in the first video Mike was so full of the urgent persuasive & deeply passionate gospel leading in that song, you could see it in his eyes, the intensity of his face, him drawing you in with his singing and gestures. That broke me, it made me bawl when I was rewatching most of their videos last night, this song in particular. But in this video, he is still fervently passionate, joyful, and secure, leading still the masses to Christ, but he is laid back in quiet calm, having gone through more evidence with Christ who secures the mature day in and day out. There is a quiet sparking deep set confidence in Christ he exudes in this work, and you see the same tone and mood in the Asian man. Others in the band as well, serving Christ, by serving us this song performance are lovely highly skilled musicians.
