Her name is Kim Sohyang, born on April 5, 1978 in South Korea. Right after getting married at the age of 20, she discovered cancer and was unable to have children in the process of treatment.
When she was in her twenties, she only worked as a gospel singer at the church, and then started her career as a popular singer at the age of 30.
She began to be known to the public through the TV show 'I Am a Singer 2' in 2012, and she reached her prime by 2017, making numerous masterpieces.
Unfortunately, she contracted pneumonia 8 times over two years from late 2017 and was on the verge of quitting her singing career. But, she recovered her health in 2020 and successfully came back through the TV show ‘Begin Again Korea’. She is currently enjoying her second heyday.
She is involved in writing lyrics, composing, arranging and producing, and plays guitar and organ.
She says a song as a 'language', and it is important to convey a certain 'message' through the song. As a devout Christian, her performances are primarily philanthropic to convey hope and comfort.
In 2016, she was nominated as a "STAR" singer by "Critic of Music”.(criticofmusic.com/)
Her ultimate dream is to make her fantasy novels into blockbuster movie series.
That was a top-tier lineup of Sohyang's performances, two out of my top 5 favorite. Can't wait for you both to react to Oh Holy Night and Dream, her OG song, in depth.

The first singer is popularly called Sonnet-son. Her Masked Singer numbers were exceptional. Park Kiyoung and Sohyang are great buddies (voice lecturers same arts university, shared role of Maria in Sound of Music theatre production) and occasionally have threatened to sing together. Her excerpt with Eb6 was fantastic "Yeonan Pier". Her Nella Fantasia is great (she does classical cross-over also).

I waited for this video. Sonnet is an insanely talented singer and won the Voice at a young age. Sohyang and Park Kiyoung are close friends. Sohyang- no words needed. Park Kiyoung is an incredibly versatile singer. There's no genre she can't sing and she basically did everything. From rock - to jazz- to opera. Her mix is mindblowing and her breath control is insane. This woman has 7 lungs or something ^^ The F6 was actually a heady mix

Personally, I think Lily, the main vocalist of NMIXX, is one of the best vocals of the fourth generation korean girl group.
Lily appeared in an audition tv program when she was young and was scouted by jyp to debut. Other members of NMIXX are also considered the best vocalists among jyp girl groups.

Forgive me but i think all the belting is not a natural voice but a falsetto into the highest level that makes it powerful. But they are all ofcourse unbelievably good.
You are correct partially. For So Hyang she does mix voice that gives her the technique to hit super high belting like A5, Bb5, B5, C6 and C#6. Mix voice is the combination of chest belting and headvoice. No one does it better in the world than So Hyang. Just to give you perspective, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Patti Labelle, Celine Dion and Barbara Streisand never or hardly belted anywhere near Bb5. So Hyang's favorite belt is Bb5 and she regularly belts C6 and once in a while C#6 with amazing support and resonance. Basically what I am saying is alot of singers use falsetto or headvoice to hit high notes but So Hyang does not have to. Her Bb5 belting in Arirang Alone is probably the most most beautiful Bb5 mix voice in the world in my opinion. Check that performance out. You will be blown away.
