    Honestly, if I were to make a choice between both phones, I would go for the Samsung Galaxy S20+. Really, there are tons of reasons why of which have already been reviewed in the video. But it would have really been a thing of joy to see that Samsung could have implemented the QHDR+ to function with the 120Hz high refresh rate as well as have the smartphone have quicker, more responsive, and fluid gesture navigation quality than what is present now. Also, Samsung users would appreciate a whole lot of updates with the camera features after taking pictures and the whole lot. Better video stabilization features could have been fitted in for optimum usage and quality, and scrapping of the Exynos 990 chipset should be taken into consideration because there's got to be better improvements in Samsung's custom chipsets before they're being launched into next-generation smartphones. Honestly, using those chipsets in smartphones that look so good, feel so good and are expected to perform so good and do not, is really disappointing. It's terrible when people spend a whole lot on trusted high quality branded smartphones and get the worst out of them. Well, both phones have their advantages and disadvantages. but for me, I'd like to go with a modern looking trusted smartphone and its brand. But seriously, there should be an upgrade to all of these cons, Dear Samsung.

    I own a galaxy S20. If you're a fan of more natural looking photos switching off scene optimiser helps a little but what you really want to do is simply switch screen mode from vivid to natural. Vivid punches up every colour your screen shows whereas natural is....well natural and makes all the difference. I like that whatever look you want, Samsung has you covered. Nice video 👍

      Samsung has their pros/cons, but they’re good for removing things and putting them back like tada! The only major thing that changes for Samsung YoY is the outside, their software hasn’t changed much (which means touchwiz and the one UI...nothing changes after these come on the market for the most part). People get too caught up in what changes considering how mature the market is currently. That said, I’m waiting on the Note 20, but I don’t fall for the one side or the other rhetoric...I currently have the 11 Pro Max and switch virtually every year.

      What do you mean “not fair”? Do you want me to also make an 11 Pro Max vs S20 Ultra video? Because there’s nothing unfair about the video I did make - it’s a comparison between two phones that people have the option of buying. The two phones don’t have to be “the most similar” to make a comparison…

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  Před 3 lety +1

      But I explained that it wouldn’t make sense to. I wouldn’t recommend the Ultra to anyone, it has too many issues and the S20+ is better. So at the end I would just conclude “but don’t buy it anyway, buy the S20+”. Thus making that video pointless.
      My comparison doesn’t need a whole video, it’s simply: don’t buy an S20 Ultra

      That's one point, but imagine shooting 4k videos all the time, and take numerous amount of good pictures that take lots of storage. 64gb for 1000 dollars seems like a joke, I'd rather take a good camera like Samsung, and have the base model of 128gb with option to insert sd card up to 1tb and save lots of data, pic, 4k videos, than using macbook to transfer all data which cost a lot more, I'd say iphone is not the best, if you think it is than you are just delusional regardless of your preference, because you can save a lot more than sacrificing money just because 'apple'
      With additional info, 120 hz is maginifinet, its makes the phone fast and smooth, best display out there, you got many features that IOS dont have, power sharing is cool, you also have samsung DeX, which you can turn your monitor into like a PC, and a lot more,
      But yeah even tho it comes down to preference, you must be a joke to say iphone is way superior than even s10 or s20, because clearly there are many determinant factors that s20 offers more than iphone11pro

      Plus having a second line for me is super important. Especially when everyone on the planet is now asking for your number so they can track your account. Like grocery store to pet stores. From doctor offices to the government (your license etc). I think having two numbers for me is standard. However with two phones I can now have 4 using Google voice. No way I'm giving my real number to the car dealership or when I try and sell it myself. Junk phone numbers are like the new junk email accounts.

I followed your links and I now have the full pro manual adjustments, thanks heaps :) You mention the full camera review of the S20+ several times in your iPhone 11 Pro Max vs Galaxy S20+ comparison. There's quite a good camera review here, of course, and in your S20 Ultra vs S20+ comparison, and I've watched both a few times. I've appreciated these reviews so much that I've googled at length and just can't find a full camera review of the S20+ alone by you. If it is available, would you post a link here? I find the Exynos version of the S20+ cameras really nice with Samsung's updates, and can't see any processing probs at all with the cameras. I don't notice the battery and heating weaknesses others write about, and don't game, so I'm in the dark there. No focus hunting with my Exynos version S20+ except in extreme conditions.

    Samsung S20 Plus 5G is the better more all round refined & practical phone. Iphone 11 Pro Max is over-priced & ur paying extra just for the badge rather than the all round usability & practicality of the phone. S20 Plus 5G is the best phone on the market along with Oneplus 8 Pro. However I dont want to discredit Iphone 11 Pro Max because this is a quality phone especially the A13 Bionic chipset & the body of the phone is great however outdated (big) notch appearance is terrible. Regarding the consumers - they will have to choose whatever is best for them & their wallet. Iphone 11 Pro Max costs £1400. Cheapest i found is £1300. S20 Plus 5G costs £1000 & cheapest i found it for is £750-800. Pretty clear S20 Plus 5G - your getting a lot more for your money & is a lot more cost efficient to own & invest in for at least 2-4 years until ur next upgrade.

It works on Samsung internet though, so you might want to consider that if you use chrome or another browser. It depends on if you have other devices too. iCloud keychain is really good at synchronising your passwords across devices - but if you just have the smartphone then it won't really make a difference

    I love the premium feel of the iPhone, kinda feels like a Rolex in the hand, but the design of the S20 + is sexy and sleek. I really, REALLY want to love Android, but the biggest issue I have is it's software and apps. I find myself all too often having to force stop apps, clear cache, clear data, clear partition, etc...when iPhone doesn't have any of these issues; I don't have to optimize the phone, put apps. to sleep, etc.... And it takes too much tinkering around to complete a simple task on android. If Android gets it's crap together with it's software, updates, and apps eco-system, along with it's great feature set and customization, you can say goodbye to iOS. But unfortunately, after so many years, Android's software functionality still doesn't compare to the well balanced and optimized iOS and it's eco-system.

    Android user here since smartphones started. Love the customisation and the innovation that android brings to the market. I've had Samsung, pixels, HTC, and recently 1+7pro. All without doubt better overall phones imho than iphones.
    Yet I have just switched to a 64gb pro max.
    Storage doesn't matter as I use my pc to store data.
    The notch doesn't really matter to me because having an edge to edge screen doesn't matter to me as I watch my vids/media on my Samsung tab.
    Expensive and overpriced, yes of course but I chose go swap because of 3 things. Battery life camera and face time.
    Refresh rate? I had that on my 1+ and tbh it doesn't make that big a difference. It is not and never has been a deal breaker.
    Imho iphone is a lot smoother due go the seamless integration of the bionic chips and iOS.
    I still have an android tab and will not change that, I have made my choice based on what I needed the phone for (facetime) a great camera and a battery that battery that lasts a good day and half so not bothered about super/warp//mega/ ultra charging.
    Yes I've over paid, yes android is better than iOS imho, , more innovation from android imho, but im more than happy with my choice as I bought the phone for what I need ,not cutting edge tech that I don't necessarily need atm.

Being a primarily android user myself, i just switched from the s20 ultra exynos to the iphone 11 pro max, and surprisingly, i feel i made the right decision. I am sick of the bulls..t samsung pulls on us with the exynos/snapdragon scam and battle of the specs and numbers. I have to agree about Samsung. I don't mean to knock them too much, but this year they've taken some worrying business decisions. Prioritising specs over performance has been quite misleading for consumers this year, sadly. Glad you seem happier with the Pro Max though! @@insidetechltd yeah you covered all the points... Btw I think the battery life of the 5G version is as good as the 11 pro max (I've watched some comparisons and the battery life of the 5G version is better than the Exynos' one)

    iPhone design and display is dated now. Big bezels and notch & no 120Hz. Other than that, it’s a good phone. But it’s basic & boring.
    PS: I like S20 camera surprisingly. I’m thinking what ultra would do with even a bigger sensor

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  Před 4 lety +1

      Well...it might not be quite as good as you expect. See the Ultra vs S20+ for the proof!

      InsideTech at least the hardware is here and we need software updates to iron out the camera issues. Last yr s10’s camera improved a lot over time due to updates and even received single shot, pro video, live focus video and night mode features from note 10 & s20 series. So I hope same is the case with Ultra. Because that sensor size is huge for phone so hardware is top notch.

    Great in depth comparison. I think if cameras are important then the iPhone is a better choice. I would love to see a review on the Sony Xperia 1 ii from you.

    I’m a lone wolf in my gf family with my iPhone. They all brag about all the stuff they can do over my iphone. But i’m yet to see them use those features. But when there’s a picture or video to be taken, i’m always called upon. And when i let them use my phone, they all agree that it’s just a smoother and better experience.

      I am upgrading from Samsung Note 10+ (Exynos) . My options are S20+ (Snapdragon), S20+ (Exynos), iPhone 11 Pro series and Oneplus 8 Pro. My priorities are excellent call quality via earpiece and speaker phone, excellent audio quality, excellent battery life and smooth overall performance. For me the basics of communication like Signal and WIFI reception and calling experience matter a lot. Which one should I go for?
      P:S - I also have S10+ (512gb) Snapdragon version as my secondary phone. Should I just stick to it compared to all the above?
