Itshallcometopass I'll try and help here with the thought she posted. For me when you're out in ministry you have a responsibility to represent God's power, because that's what brings about the change that we need as people. . Sometime the way people, ( women in this case) attire can distract the movement of God from entering a place or atmosphere. Now I'm not saying these women (whoever juanita was referring too) willfully and intentionally wore/wear provocative or inappropriate clothing to take away from God's power/love so if they wasn't then it's all an honest error. But for the ones that blatantly wear clothing for their own purposes and agendas, then they're the ones that have the "form of godliness but deny his power." It's just the same as saying these people are imposters of the word of God because they show up to sing, praise, dance, minister, etc but their hearts are not in the right place by in doing it. Hope that helped a little. But if not just find a bible and read 2 Timothy 3:5 to get more clarity
They ordained a few evangelists in my church. I asked my 25 year old son to come to church and he said "Momma I'm not gonna lie to you; I can't go see them preach the Word of God and the evangelists that are ministering are in the clubs with me". I said wow Son. My 20 year old daughter who is in church asks me the same thing. She said: "Momma, the same evangelists are preaching with 3 different baby daddies. The youngest baby not even a year old." She said: "Momma some thing is wrong with this." "They preaching holiness...but they out there doing stuff." Its about popularity...not about whats right, holiness or being sold out to the Lord. Prophetess Bynum is right...hate or love it where is the boundaries. Is it holiness or what??
This is so true you can't tell the saved from the unsaved the Church is beginning to look like the world. You can't help people when they see you you are representing the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit there is no anointing .
Carol Smothers...And don't get me wrong...people REAL quick to say you judging, but I tell my children God can use whosoever he chooses. I tell them its not the person its the message. You know I have a hard time reconciling what church is and what going to church means to me, and what it should mean to my family when my son tells me this stuff. My son does come to church when other people are preaching and ministering. Me too! God did a work on me! And it's interesting because I didn't even notice myself becoming more modest until one day I looked down and realized I had made a habit of wearing tankies under my V-neck dresses! My wardrobe and my language were the first 2 areas God began His clean-up in me! I'm always looking down to make sure my cleavage is covered. Not because I'm embarrassed, but because my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit dwelling in me and I want to honor God by the way I dress. I don't have to wear turtlenecks all day long (although I do love my turtlenecks!) to show I respect myself. I can be classy and dazzling and still cover up! In a way, it actually feels MORE empowering to dress in a way that honors God. God created my body to honor Him with, and nobody else has any rights to see it except for my husband. 😊

My prayer as prophets is that we should speak the truth in love. It has been said to as prophet whatever do it should be done in love. And I agree the scriptures states those who are humbly go to your sister and brother in love. And we shouldn't bring our sisters and brothers to an open shame. As was stated there people who dress holy, but doesn't live it. The Bible states man looks at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart. The word of God states love cover multitude of sins. Our conversations should be gracious and season with salt. And I agree that this could have been spoken without pointing fingers at different sisters and brothers. Because there are men dressing with tie pants, and you can see the print of their private part. And some them also wear shirts open where you can see the hair on their chest. Yes there is to much of the world in the Body of Christ. And we are in a season where God going to purge the church. All the debris that has contaminated HIS house. And not being conform to the image of Jesus Christ the Lord shall deal with. Sin shall be uncovered and the folly will shall be deal with. And the Lord shall start in the pulpit in with this cleansing. In all that we do it should in the spirit of meekness. I love Juanita Byrum and respect her as a prophet of God. But as I stated before as prophet we should speak with the love of God. I recall when Samuel the prophet when Saul to rebuke him because of his disobedience. she's saying what a lot of us are thinking...we all know what the Bible states about lusting and my question is why you want to dress in away that cause people to lust especially when you call yourself a woman or man of God (Jesus).
I grew up in a time when deaconesses would politely approach ladies with short skirts and using tact would ask if them if they could drape a long cloth on their laps for modesty's sake... but this was strictly for visitors because women of God were supposed to know better. As an adult I started to attend a larger church that wasn't like the traditional ones I grew up in... and I won't lie, there were many times when I just had to glance at the pulpit or the ceiling to avert my eyes because it seemed as if some of the ladies walking in thought they were going clubbin' and had outfits that left nothing to the imagination.

I get what she is saying about wearing fitted dresses and cleavage showing. This is where we need to develop relationships with these individuals then after you develop a relationship you will be able to correct them out of love and not condemn them on social media. Everything needs to be done in decent and in order. We are to build each other up and not tear each other down.

Ms. Courtney Wrenn That's true. even if the message is valid and needed, an open rebuke is not always the wisest approach. She could have used her influence to reach out to these sister's in Christ individually in private and in a spirit of love and humility. By voicing it in this manner while offensively saying, "I don't care if you unfriend me etc gives off an air of superiority and pride within one's own righteousness which may only incite unnecessary hurt and anger especially in a time when the body of Christ desperately need to come together in the spirit of love, peace and understanding. I'm reminded of the Scripture about two men who went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a publican. The Pharisee prayed "God, I thank You, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers or even as this publican. I fast twice a week, I give tithes of all that I possess". And, the publican, standing afar off, would not lift so much as his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, "God be merciful to me a sinner". Jesus said, "I tell you that this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalts himself shall be abased; and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.

If it was wrong for christians to dress worldly/sexy years ago then it`s still wrong today because the scriptures have not changed. The problem is so many christians have conformed to the world and the leaders won`t stand up and say anything .

Yes, l must agree! I loved watching & listening to Dr. Jazz, but as she became known, her dress style changed! I would try to go beyond the dress attire and get into the word, but l would think to myself, why is she dressed like that? Don't lower your standard of appropriateness to fit in with your supporters, minister to the people through the word and not let loose dressing be a distraction! In the documentary 'Say Amen Somebody' Mother Smith explained why she started wearing a robe when she stood before the people. Do your research, we're to busy entertaining people rather then ministering! The money's afford those who are blessed to be in the limelight to buy the best, but God should be the main attraction! God is real and He is coming! It is also a problem in the church as well~

LaTresha Johnson we’ve all had hiccups but it’s through God’s grace ad mercy that he pulls up out of it. So you telling me that just because someone had issues in the past they are no longer able to tell the truth? Because if that is the case no one would. I’m sick of people calling everything judgement, it’s not judgement someone need to tell the truth, when things are not right. That’s why we have so many people leaving the church because we have conformed too much to the world. That’s like if someone was once a drug addict and now telling people that doing drugs is not right. Is that judgement? I’m not a religious person nor do I gravite toward any specific religion. I would classify myself, if I had to as more of a spiritual person,. Now that being said my opinion of her from several videos and interviews I’ve seen of her not just this she is quit judge mental of others but did not take ownership of her own mess. I don’t know her personally so I will go no further than that. However ppl are often so busy looking at the outside of an individual (judging) that they don’t pay attention to their heart. She’s absolutely correct. When I was a Christian I use to struggle with lust. I used to go to church in hopes of me getting free from that spirit but That lust only heighten due to the way the woman were dressed inside the church. Some of them will stand directly in front of you and stand in a way that pokes their butts out even more then it already was. Some of them constantly walking around in order to be seen, some would be dancing knowing their breast is bouncing everywhere, it happened so much that they started using towels and Shaw’s to cover the women up. Smh... then you have those that think it’s ok to wear what you want outside of church like, the see through tights, skin tight jeans, cleavage out, and don’t let none of these women go vacation... they be getting drunk and wearing thongs and other revealing bathing suits. I pray for our people daily. A lot. Of us especially women are broken and need healing in every way.

They shouldn't even be called "gospel artists" for all I care. Singing praise and worship to God is not a form of art. It is an act of worship. King David is not known as a gospel artist but a man who worshipped the Lord in music. The writers of the old hymns of worship are not known as gospel artists but as men and women who wrote songs of praises to the Lord. These mordant day singers and I use the term very loosely are nothing but entertainers and they can even sing. Screaming and yelling is not singing. It is all noise. They love the world.

I agree with her wholeheartedly. These bodycon dresses are not for us. Especially if you are providing ministry. I can't tell the world from the women of God at times. We should be set apart. It's so sad. Sometimes I see and say they would have looked Beautiful and classy in a more flared type dress instead of the one that is outlining their body.

When they lower you into the grave your "modest" outfit is going to mold and dry rot. It is your SOUL that will last forever!! I am praying for Sister Bynum's HEART condition. All her diamonds and precious jewels and expensive clothes,fancy cars, mansions, expensive vacations,fancy hairdos and weaves,manicures, fake eye lashes, and millions of dollars won't get her through those pearly gates. What impresses the Lord is the condition of one's heart and the Fruits of the Spirit that a person bears. What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and lose his own soul. Well some would point out they wear long loose gowns etc and no make up but in all good sense should ur boobs and the crease of it be advertised and ur dress or skirt be so tight that ur bum is shaped out and nothing is left for the imagination I think there are clothing for the privacy of your home and others for outside of your home all the extra showing of the breast etc advertising is attention seeking but what a child of God should be willing to advertise to the world is how good God is say good bye to the attention of the flesh , lust and worldly pleasures and make up your mind to go God's way for the rest of your life

I came from a Holiness Church, all covered up and caught up in the legalism of the church. I learned that Holiness is a lifestyle not a look.. You can come all covered up, but still be fake. Tracy Hodge The fact that she has a sized following is a bad. I pray for them. A lot of preachers become false, when they compromise the word for the sake of keeping people in church. That’s what Jesus meant by preachers that tickle the ears. At one point Jesus had thousands of followers and at one point and a his teachings did turn people away. However despite that, it was still the truth and that’s what God wants more than having his words compromised. A lot of American preachers do this. Your right about Juanita’s comment coming from a bad spirit. She is filled with wrath and anger. Despite me agreeing with one of her comments, her comment didn’t come from a place of love or wisdom as it should be.

I'll try and help here with the thought she posted. For me when you're out in ministry you have a responsibility to represent God's power, because that's what brings about the change that we need as people. . Sometime the way people, ( women in this case) attire can distract the movement of God from entering a place or atmosphere. Now I'm not saying these women (whoever juanita was referring too) willfully and intentionally wore/wear provocative or inappropriate clothing to take away from God's power/love so if they wasn't then it's all an honest error. But for the ones that blatantly wear clothing for their own purposes and agendas, then they're the ones that have the "form of godliness but deny his power." It's just the same as saying these people are imposters of the word of God because they show up to sing, praise, dance, minister, etc but their hearts are not in the right place by in doing it.

And it's interesting because I didn't even notice myself becoming more modest until one day I looked down and realized I had made a habit of wearing tankies under my V-neck dresses! My wardrobe and my language were the first 2 areas God began His clean-up in me! I'm always looking down to make sure my cleavage is covered. Not because I'm embarrassed, but because my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit dwelling in me and I want to honor God by the way I dress. I don't have to wear turtlenecks all day long (although I do love my turtlenecks!) to show I respect myself. I can be classy and dazzling and still cover up! In a way, it actually feels MORE empowering to dress in a way that honors God. God created my body to honor Him with, and nobody else has any rights to see it except for my husband. 😊

I grew up in a time when deaconesses would politely approach ladies with short skirts and using tact would ask if them if they could drape a long cloth on their laps for modesty's sake... but this was strictly for visitors because women of God were supposed to know better. As an adult I started to attend a larger church that wasn't like the traditional ones I grew up in... and I won't lie, there were many times when I just had to glance at the pulpit or the ceiling to avert my eyes because it seemed as if some of the ladies walking in thought they were going clubbin' and had outfits that left nothing to the imagination.

She could have used her influence to reach out to these sister's in Christ individually in private and in a spirit of love and humility. By voicing it in this manner while offensively saying, "I don't care if you unfriend me etc gives off an air of superiority and pride within one's own righteousness which may only incite unnecessary hurt and anger especially in a time when the body of Christ desperately need to come together in the spirit of love, peace and understanding. I'm reminded of the Scripture about two men who went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a publican. The Pharisee prayed "God, I thank You, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers or even as this publican. I fast twice a week, I give tithes of all that I possess". And, the publican, standing afar off, would not lift so much as his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, "God be merciful to me a sinner". Jesus said, "I tell you that this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalts himself shall be abased; and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.

In the documentary 'Say Amen Somebody' Mother Smith explained why she started wearing a robe when she stood before the people. She’s absolutely correct. When I was a Christian I use to struggle with lust. I used to go to church in hopes of me getting free from that spirit but That lust only heighten due to the way the woman were dressed inside the church. Some of them will stand directly in front of you and stand in a way that pokes their butts out even more then it already was. Some of them constantly walking around in order to be seen, some would be dancing knowing their breast is bouncing everywhere, it happened so much that they started using towels and Shaw’s to cover the women up. Smh... then you have those that think it’s ok to wear what you want outside of church like, the see through tights, skin tight jeans, cleavage out, and don’t let none of these women go vacation... they be getting drunk and wearing thongs and other revealing bathing suits. I pray for our people daily. A lot. Of us especially women are broken and need healing in every way.

That’s what Jesus meant by preachers that tickle the ears. At one point Jesus had thousands of followers and at one point and a his teachings did turn people away. However despite that, it was still the truth and that’s what God wants more than having his words compromised. A lot of American preachers do this.

She might be right about how they are dressing and exposing their bodies while saying they are Christians but she is wrong for the names she is calling them. While she is trying to correct them she obviously needs to pay closer attention to her speech behavior. Matthew 7:5-You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye. while we are going to church to get our hearts right with God and get filled with the Holy Ghost, it don't take much for the devil to cause distractions/distracting thoughts especially to those saved, sanctified, holy christians... don't even mention the unsaved who are still struggling with issues of lust, sex, pornography. It don't take much to turn someone onwith a weakness. I am not saying women should not dress well and look good for church, we need to be mindful of who we are going to church to attract or impress. Is it MAN or is it out Lord Jesus?
If it Jesus, then let the Holy Spirit be our guide and inspiration, whether you are married or single.
