    There were so many finals and big games where Carey played like this. He just never 'went missing'. As a Premiership Captain, team leader and dominant big game player there has been none better.

    I remember seeing Carey play for Nth Adelaide (at 17!)... he near single handed took the opposition apart.

      Agreed. I am for Collingwood but he could destroy any team in the mid nineties.

    carey showed abblet who is the best that day ablett got destroyed by martin all day north would have beaten westcoast

      ablett was old by this point. Ablett in 89 was better than this

      @@20050716 not trying to sound like a dickhead, but that year (1994) Ablett kicked 129 goals, averaged 5.2 goals a game, made All-Australian, and the year before (1993) won the AFLPA MVP trophy. He was pretty fucken good at this stage.

      @@kanemareolas508 Yeah, I certainly remember Ablett being in good form around this time and those stats don't surprise me at all.
