These boys killin it !!🔥
This song means so much to me because it was playing when my dog died on the way to my veterinarians office, then , where are you going played as I left the practice with my dogs image being taken in to the office lifeless, yes these songs brings tears to my eyes but I love hearing it because it is a final rememberance of my loved one!
Also , as a final note my other dog passed five days earlier, though they Rest In Peace the music brings me peace of mind knowing that they both are lying in the hands of God
This has to be Jeff Coffin's best solo every. I can't even think of another set of musicians that nailed a solo as good as these two did. Incredible!!!
#41 in Brixton in 2009
I like Typical Situation too.
This is his best one: czcams.com/video/ulq0mh5ok00/video.html
@@Changelingheart YES! the acoustic set when Jeff played the tenor sax with Rashawn Ross was a great performance.
@@LosPompadores I'll have to check it out.
it never gets old.....
On top of these horn jams being epic, Jeff Coffin is wearing the most epic shirt
All the different sounds and instruments into a stunning song and performance ,as always an absolute treat.
Forever in love with this song...
Oh Dave, you know how to make the most amazing music!
You're a Hall of Famer to me...listening to DMB always put in a good place. Thanks guys...
They're too good for the Hall of Fame, imo, as they should have been there long ago. Such skilled, i mean really skilled musicians.
SUMMER 2020 LET'S GO, the GREATEST band of ALL TIME
They run the sexiest interactive energy when they play….it’s simply magical..
Great show last year. Love the ladies.
Nicholas Payton is awesome, loved his guest appearances last year.
what amazing china sounds!!! Those cymbals are awesome!!!!
The Lovely Ladies are skilled backing vocalists and add an interesting layer to the songs.
Thanks Dave: Marie R
Needed this so much.
the lyrics melt me
The lovely lady in the middle looks lovely!
Beautiful
Awesome.
Extraordinary!
I am convinced that Carter can beat Chuck Norris in a drum off.
WOW!!! What a jam!! Such a great badass band!! That reminds me of something that a friend of mine told me. This friend is a HUGE Phish fan. HUGE! He's probably been to 100 Phish shows over the last 20+ years. I went with him to see them play two nights in a row at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park in Alpharetta, GA, back in June, 2011. I'll admit I was rather impressed, even though we endured some crazy severe thunderstorms and tornadic weather on the second night, which caused the band to stop and then start again after one of the storms passed through. He told me that Phish fans hate Dave Matthews Band! The Phish fans despise Dave Matthews Band. I'm not sure how they feel about DMB fans. Probably don't like us either. I'm reminded of something that a guy named Rodney King once said. "Can't we all just get along?" Phish's music isn't exactly my cup of tea, although, like I said, I was rather impressed by their live shows, especially the first night of a two night stay. Their musicianship is incredible. They are fantastic at the art of improvisation, which really appeals to me as a musician. So, I'm saying that I like both Phish, and Dave Matthews Band, but Dave Matthews Band blows Phish off the stage as far as I'm concerned. So how did this animosity get started? Trey Anastasio and Dave are good friends, right?
Fire
Carter’s face at 11:50 XD
Formidable!
I think Carter wrote this song seriously.this song rocks
Awesome song. Didn't need the ladies though...
Idk, they sound good at 5he halfway point and moving on.
who is the trumpet playerrrrrr
Nicholas Payton
Who is going to be at PNC tonight
I will be there!
+Taylor Porth see u there
This song has a slight ska/mellow vibe
who is the guy on the trumpet? I was at the show but forget who they said he was....
Nicholas Payton
Thanks, I could hear "Nick" at the end but couldn't make out the rest
Mike
The Ladies add nothing to the songs they guest on and make setlists stale and repetitive. They don't fit with DMB. End of conversation.
Too bad you're not in charge of the DAVE MATTHEWS BAND. Obviously you would do a much better job (in your mind).
perfect except for the Lunch Ladies
I love the Lovely Ladies!
Mi tambien!
keep the ladies away this year please
Awesome song! It's a shame the lovely ladies are on it. They add nothing to the song, and lead to stagnant sets. Also sound really bad on most of the stuff they guest on.
Sounded good til the horns starting playing on top of each other. But then they brought it back together, hard to do. Love DMB
Too much brass... I sure do miss LeRoi
No more Lovely Ladies. They don't fit with the band at all.
ill admit, this song doesnt gain much from the ladies, but there are certain songs that just suck when the ladies arent on them. for example, Stay, Save Me, JTR, sledgehammer, LBV, etc. these songs essentially dont exist without the ladies adding back up vocals. so by saying they dont fit with the band, you're completely false. sure, they dont fit with every single song, that would be ludicrous to think, but they do certainly add A LOT to a good number of songs.
Steve Lillywhite has said himself that the biggest mistake of his career was putting the lovely ladies on Before These Crowded Streets for Stay. So that should tell you plenty with how much they do not fit in with this band and should never return.
They are a talented group, but you're right. They don't fit in.
I fall in love with them over and over, every time i see them live.
I agree with both you and Danny Yankou. There are certain songs that just don't sound quite right without the backup singers. Songs like Stay (Wasting Time) and JTR. But the songs that benefit from the lovely ladies are far outnumbered by the songs that suffer because of the lovely ladies, and I'm not so sure that it's 100% their fault. Here's my reasoning for that. Back in '08 or whenever, the DMB grew a couple of extra limbs. Or maybe I should say a limb and a half, because Tim Reynolds was already playing on studio recordings and joining the band on stage for a certain percentage of the live shows. I don't know what that percentage was. Anyway, Reynolds is now on stage at every show. Also, Rashawn Ross, trumpet, was added to the band as well. So that's a lot of stuff happenin' every night. Tim can do so much it's incredible. Atmospheric stuff, crazy leads, etc. I think Ross and Jeff Coffin must enjoy playing horns together because I've noticed little horn parts here and there in the live performances that weren't there before. So that's Ross on trumpet/backing vocals, Coffin on saxophones, Reynolds on electric guitar, Dave on acoustic guitar/lead vocals, Stefan on bass guitar, Boyd on violin/backing vocals, and Mr. Beauford on drums/backing vocals on that stage. If you add three more vocal harmonies in there via the "lovely ladies", the sound gets a little too thick or muddy, especially if everyone else in the band is still playing their instrument at a high level. See what I'm saying? Now, if you were to take away Tim's ever present electric guitar (don't get me wrong I'm a big Tim fan), and get the rest of the band to lighten up a little bit, dynamically speaking, the "lovely ladies" would probably shine very brightly on just about any song.
The backup singers add nothing and are so unnecessary. I don’t understand Dave and the band’s desire to have them on stage. Hopefully never again.
damn. i thought it was awesome. it sounded like bob marley and the wailers a bit
