They are actually on their way home from the Trojan war. In horse and the infant and just a man it marks the end of the war. The rest of the songs is their journey home.
To really understand the story it would be awesome if you end up watching the animatics asp. (You can also do it on your own or do a rewatch/relisten after going through the songs) but it would be very helpful when it comes to understanding what is going on.

@@HIM_066xMusicReactions well to be fair this musical isn’t like any other musical, and not in the sense of it being really good, but more just how it isn’t a stage play and so Jorge has more opportunities to do what he wants instead of it being restricted to a strict musical norm.
