This particular one is crudely converted by hand, but there are plenty of factory built engines designed to run on propane. I've got a generator that came straight out of the box with the option to run on either gasoline or on propane just by turning a couple valves. It's pretty cool! I've actually been messing around running mower engines on propane on and off since about 2008 or '09. It was a popular thing to do by all of us lawnmower dorks back in the day 🤣 I mostly just mess around with cars and trucks now.
clean fuel, If your house plumbed with natural gas, you can fill your mower from home without going out to fill propane, I've seen people fuel their propane cars from home using natural gas.

It is unique! I bought this engine specifically because it had the vertical pull. They are neat!

I don't have any way to compress the gas to store it in a tank. I can get this small propane tank refilled nearby for about $3
That's how they should all start lol.
It only had 63psi compression before and was almost impossible to start on propane. I had to prime it with gas or ether to get it to start before
